Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, is offering a course entitled “How to Overthrow the State,” which includes encouraging students to engage in “producing a Manifesto,” and “writing a persuasive essay on rewriting history and confronting memory.”
A course being offered at Washington and Lee for the fall semester focuses on encouraging students to think of ways they can “overthrow a sitting government,” according to the course description on the university’s website.
“This course places each student at the head of a popular revolutionary movement aiming to overthrow a sitting government and forge a better society,” reads the course description.

If your goal is in the CIA, NSA, State Dept, military, law enforcement or government, I can see the benefit to something like this.
It would be helpful to see it, before it becomes a reality. For example, its useful to know how someone might rob a business in order to provide better protection to said business. In my field, I often have to attempt to think like a criminal. Which is hard, because I dont think that way. Im also not a revolutionary, but it is useful to understand the tactics.

W&L is going to rue the day they let this class continue... and letting the professors and students dictate their policies. What happened to a president and board of trustees governing and guiding instead of "being taught"? This is all sooo 1960's/early 70's redux...Has the board or the president considered that they are participating in the "taking down of America"? Because that is what this is. We will never forget.
Any successful parent who wishes success for their child should not be sending their child to W&L, a once great university with very successful graduates...and all round good guys. Alumnae-get busy and do something about this!

I'd like to think the course has a catchy title for 'things to watch for'. If not, #4, that will be the class project, good for 50% of the grade. :)

Don't be alarmed. They're just teaching how this country was founded. It's a very patriotic course.

I saw somewhere that the university said that this was merely a creative writing course. Nothing more.

The Deep State needs to go. Far-left useful idiots may be helpful in achieving the end of the Deep State. The critical factor is what comes next. It cannot be the Bolshevism of the left. If the left is used to help remove the Deep State, then the left must be betrayed, discarded and neutralized in advance of the restoration of Freedom.
The strategy would be similar to the neutralizing of the Trotskyites by the Stalinists after the Trotskyites assisted the Bolsheviks.

I wonder what happens if a student turned in an essay outlining the overthrow of the communist government in Venezuela? This course content depends on who is teaching it. Keeping it fair with ideas on how a once free people can rise up and overthrow a dictator might be useful here in a few years.

That’s why they are pushing for free college for everyone. That way they can indoctrinate more people.

Why not have courses on how to plan a home invasion robbery, jack a car, rob a bank, rape women, cheat on exams, have an affair with your secretary, oust the college dean, embarrass the university, slander your professors...? Civil society does not teach classes on how to hurt, damage and destroy people and lawful institutions. Only a sick and perverse mind would not understand this.

I think this ought to be sent to all the alumni asking them to donate if they agree with the direction their university is taking.

#13, there is no such thing as "free" college. Or anything else, for that matter. Someone has to pay for teachers, maintenance (staff and physical plant), supplies such as books and computers, and various other expenses. And we all know who that someone is; US! The taxpayers. You and me and every other working soul, plus those who make money through investments, etc.
I'm so sick of these idiots demanding free anything. Nothing is free! Except, maybe, the tv's and other stuff the rioters steal. But even there the insurance companies pay, I guess.

True enough no. 1. However, the correct time and place to receive this education would be after the individual is hired and from the employer.

“This course places each student at the head of a popular revolutionary movement aiming to overthrow a sitting government and forge a better society,”
And how would they do that?
They have no idea of the sacrifices required to build their society.
They have no idea how their society works.
What qualifications do they have
to even contemplate
what a better society would look like?
Except, of course, no white people.
