Rochester, N.Y.—Daniel Prude appeared to be spiraling into crisis in the hours before police handcuffed him on a city street in March, then pinned the naked man face down. The 41-year-old had been thrown off a train the day before for disruptive behavior. He was sent to a hospital for a mental health evaluation after he was said to have expressed suicidal thoughts. Prude apparently stopped breathing as police in Rochester, New York, were restraining him and died when he was taken off life support a week later.(Snip) Prude had been behind bars several times over the decades. Chicago Police reported 37 arrests

Comments:

They're rioting over this guy right now. Why are insane people allowed to roam the streets where they pose a danger to themselves and others?

Naked and combative are classic indicators of excited delirium. A very large percentage will die, regardless of anything done to help them, including by emergency room docs.

I'm sensing a pattern here. Are there no stories of crazed whites who resist arrest and are killed, triggering rioting?

There’s pin-demonium brewing at American Airlines. Top brass at the nation’s largest commercial jet carrier is facing turbulence from within after it announced that flight attendants are now allowed to wear Black Lives Matter pins on their uniforms while on duty. The move has irked some of American’s white New York staffers, including those who have spouses or relatives who are cops—because they consider the BLM movement divisive and anti-police, saying it promotes or condones violence.(Snip) “I am completely disgusted at the fact that we can’t show support for our GOD, our COUNTRY, our LEOs but when it comes to BLM

Police officers involved in the suffocation of Daniel Prude—who died in March after a bag was placed over his head—were following their training, their union chief has said, as it emerged that Prude's brother Joe said he was hallucinating and suicidal before he died. Prude, 41, from Chicago, was naked running through the streets of Rochester, New York—where his brother lives—in the early hours of March 23 when he was arrested. He had taken the drug phencyclidine, known as PCP or angel dust, and was ranting at the officers, telling them he had coronavirus, saying they should just

President Trump has ordered his administration to stop paying for so-called “critical race theory” diversity training in federal agencies, with a top official calling the sessions “un-American propaganda,” The Washington Times has learned. In a memo issued to federal agencies on Friday, Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought said it has come to the president’s attention that the executive branch has “spent millions of taxpayer dollars to date ‘training’ government workers to believe divisive, anti-American propaganda.” Citing press reports, Mr. Vought said employees across the executive branch have been required to attend training sessions where they are told that

As if 2020 were not insane enough already, we now have Democrats and their ruling class masters openly talking about staging a coup. You might have missed it, what with the riots, lockdowns and other daily mayhem we’re forced to endure in this, the most wretched year of my lifetime. But it’s happening. It started with the military brass quietly indicating that the troops should not follow a presidential order. They were bolstered by many former generals—including President Trump’s own first Secretary of Defense—who stated openly what the brass would only hint at. Then, as nationwide riots really got rolling in early June, the sitting Secretary of Defense

The beginning of college football season also marked the return of ESPN’s “College GameDay” to the airwaves on Saturday. Though the crew wasn’t together on campus for a high-profile Week 1 game somewhere, it was a welcome sight for college football fans after a long, winding offseason. There was plenty of discussion about COVID-19 and how it has already affected the season, but the most notable portion of the broadcast was the heartfelt discussion about racial injustice in the United States. The interview was excellent throughout but the key points were made by Hanson at the end of the interview when talking about the upcoming election at the 9:35 mark: We are going to wait and see what happens in November to finish and there’s three or four things that we don’t know what’s going to happen. Either the virus is going to wane. If it wanes by November, Trump will be elected.

On Friday, the Trump campaign released a brutal ad savaging House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for getting a hair blow out at a salon in San Francisco without a wearing a mask and then having the audacity to claim she fell victim to a “set up” after getting caught. Throughout the two-minute ad, Nancy Pelosi is constantly referred to as “Nancy Antoinette,” a reference to the French queen Marie Antoinette, who has (though falsely) been characterized throughout history as a superficial elitist that cared little for the people. “Let them eat cake,” she apocryphally said. The Biden campaign promoted what is being called a “dangerous conspiracy theory” about a potential coronavirus vaccine on Saturday, suggesting that the vaccine may not be safe due to it being rushed for political reasons ahead of the November elections. Speaking to CNN’s Dana Bash, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), the vice presidential running mate of Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden, claimed that Trump may muzzle scientific experts and that the president was acting out of desperation. “Do you trust that in the situation that we’re in now that public health experts and scientists will get the last word on the efficacy of a vaccine?” Bash asked.
