Biden off on another planet:
Charts show the U.S. is beating the coronavirus

What planet does Joe Biden live on? In his campaign for president, he's promised more lockdowns if the "experts" tell him to do it, maybe permanent lockdown, lockdown as a lifestyle, which means shutting down the entire country. It's bizarre stuff given that it's already been done, with plenty of unintended consequences. It's a supposed leadership redo of President Trump's supposedly bad leadership on COVID. This, according to Joe, is how one really does it, so rewind the reel to March 2020 and let him start the lockdowns from there as if nothing had at all changed (snip) the call of someone still living in March 2020, embedded in amber

Biden needs to name his experts. Without a doubt (but without a voice) Fauci is the worlds foremost expert. And he has waffled all over the place. But Monica is wrong about the charts. We are running at about 5000 deaths a week, without much evidence of this pesky virus is about to quit.

Even hard line democrats are not believing the lie any more. They, too, have experienced the same hardships and chaos foisted on us by the left. It's hard to believe a lie when you have experienced the facts first-hand!

Hmmmm. 5000 deaths out of a population of 300,000,000. HOW MANY are gone because of influenza? Car wrecks? Cancer? I’m developing a serious contempt, if not hatred, of the medical profession. Real heroes don’t lie. Fauci did. So did Big Pharma. Don’t get me started on Bill Gates.

Normal number of deaths in the US per month is 234,458. I sure would like to see some statistics of what it is now that we have covid. I would be willing to bet this number hasn't changed much.

Last night offered a warp speed example of mob violence triggered by utterly bogus charges of police misbehavior resulting in the sack of the premier shopping district of a major American city. (snip) Three was no doubt that police were blameless, but that did not stop bystanders from immediately castigating the police with the same sort of bogus claims that led to mob violence in Ferguson, MO and elsewhere, even as they attended to the bleeding corpse of the suicided perp. The mob began pillaging stores along the Nicollet Mall, the Minneapolis version of Chicago’s Magnificent Mile or New York’s Fifth Avenue.

In recent weeks, not only have we seen some very large holes punched in the narrative of what happened to George Floyd, but we’ve also seen the very thin veil come off, as the “peaceful protests” by Black Lives Matter and Antifa rapidly devolved into perhaps the worst string of violent riots the country has ever seen. (snip) We are finally starting to see a pushback by John Q. Public; and I believe we’ll see more as the weeks and months go by. The “woke” forces of Antifa and Black Lives Matter -- mostly overindulged, pampered, underparented, overeducated and spoiled children -- are on the verge of a rude awakening.

he second night of the Republican convention has come and gone (and very successfully too) but what should live forever is the article the New York Times wrote about the line-up of speakers for the evening. It is a triumph of misdirection and fraud by omission. It may well be the most perfect example ever of how the media functions, not to inform, but to mislead. The article, entitled “How to Watch the Republican National Convention,” gives practical advice about how to find the convention on the internet and television. Interestingly, it does not mention C-SPAN

The future of local police departments has become a top election issue. Rasmussen released recent polls showing that Americans pay close attention to debates about law and order. For instance, 50% of likely voters want to see harder crackdowns on urban unrest, while only 38% support continuing protests in cities. Overall, 72% are concerned about recent reports of urban violence. Over 60% of Americans said their feelings about the protests will have an effect on their November voting.
The Story Behind Bannon's Arrest 9 replies

On August 20th, President Trump’s former Chief Strategist Steve Bannon was arrested on fraud charges relating to the “We Build the Wall” construction project on the U.S.-Mexico border. The news made for splashy headlines, but story behind the charges was more mundane. Brian Kolfage, a triple amputee veteran and Purple Heart recipient, used a crowdfunding website as part of a political gag aimed at raising $1 billion dollars to construct a U.S.-Mexico border wall. After unexpectedly raising $17 million dollars within the first week, Kolfage decided to hand off the suddenly real and ambitious initiative to someone with more experience, connections, and resources. Steve Bannon stepped up to help

One of the most revolting things about Joe Biden’s candidacy is his dishonest insistence that Donald Trump called white supremacists “fine people.” Democrats have successfully used this hoax to brainwash large parts of the American public into believing that Trump and his supporters are racists and anti-Semites. One wonders, therefore, how much consternation there is in Biden campaign headquarters now that Richard Spencer, one of America’s best-known neo-Nazis, is all in for Biden. To fully appreciate what should be one of the biggest stories in the presidential campaign, there are two things you need to know

I can’t remember a wildcat strike ever happening by a pro sports team, let alone an entire league, let alone during the playoffs. My guess is that it’ll alienate more people than it’ll win over, but alienation never lasts very long in sports. A million fans will vow today that they’ll never watch the NBA again and most will be back next week, or at least for the Finals. And everyone who isn’t will be back next season. The Milwaukee Bucks violated the collective bargaining agreement with the league when they decided to protest by not playing today’s game against the Orlando Magic.

KENOSHA, Wis. — Downtown buildings set ablaze by arsonists were still smoldering from the night before when Kirk Ingram started to paint an angel on his boarded-up store front. Ingram, a Democrat who runs a massage therapy business, said the war-zone images of his city on TV — armed people running through the streets, burned cars and broken windows — were bolstering President Donald Trump's get-tough message. Maybe a few uplifting murals could start to tell a different story about Kenosha, Ingram said Wednesday. Trump has attempted to frame the violent unrest in the wake of Jacob Blake’s shooting as

Deciding to go Colin Kaepernick one better, the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks players decided to cancel their playoff game to protest the Kenosha, Wisconsin police shooting of Jacob Blake, a career criminal with a warrant out for 3rd degree sexual assault, who was resisting arrest. But the NBA didn't want to leave it alone and let justice take its course. Someone in the locker room of the Bucks suggested a game strike, and then the rest of them, lemmings-like, jumped onboard.
