Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the St. Louis couple who defended their home from demonstrators who allegedly threatened them and came onto private property, slammed the Democratic Party during the Republican National Convention’s opening night, warning that the Democratic Party presents a threat to everyday Americans because of how extreme it’s becoming.“America is such a great country that you not only have the right to own a gun and use it to defend yourself, but thousands of Americans will offer you free advice on how to use it. At least that’s what we experienced,” Patricia McCloskey said.

I think this couple were very effective and articulated their situation clearly.
I wish they would have said that they were democrats until this happened.

These two were Democrats. I don't think they are now. Wonder why? I watched the RNC last night on CNN. Wanted to see for myself how they would react to the speakers. They had not one positive word to say. The talking heads would immediately jump in to criticize after each one. The speakers were terrific; the talking heads were terrible.

What’s that old saying about a democrat getting mugged?

I have read that they WEREN'T Democrats before this occurred and that someone falsely said they were because they looked up the wrong McCloskeys.
I don't know what's true, and personally, it doesn't matter to me one way or the other.

That was one of the highlights in my opinion. This was the best convention I have ever watched. It made me so proud to be an American,

That’s funny you should say that, #2. I came downstairs to find my husband watching CNN coverage of the RNC Convention. He said he wanted to see what they were saying about it. I told him that was grounds for divorce. I, however, watched the convention on Fox, and I can only categorize the commentary as obscene. At one point, the commentators were Juan Williams, Chris Wallace, Donna Brazille, Britt Hume, Karl Rove, and I think Dana Perino. Dana Perino, and to a lesser extent, Britt Hume, was mildly complimentary, but the rest were like rabid dogs. Donna Brazille actually talked about the riots in WI as a way to counter the RNC message to the black community, saying it was proof of the democrat message. I couldn’t take it, so I shut it off.

They were very good. Unfortunately we watched on Fox and Hannity kept cutting in with his usual suspects and their “commentary”, about which we didn’t give a darn. Bongino and all the rest should have been given the night off with pay.
Hannity cut in on the McCloskeys, on Steve Scalise and on Vernon Jordan. We were not happy. So we moved belatedly to CSpan, where we will stay for the rest.

I heard the same thing that #5 heard. It doesn’t matter what they were,. I just don’t like seeing false information spread on Lucianne. They sure don’t appear to be or have been dumb Democrats.

Hannity cannot stop talking. I think it's a diagnosable psychological disorder. For this reason, I can't bear to watch him. He is not very smart or insightful, just a run of the mill blabbermouth. It's unfortunate that the entire Republican convention will take place in his Fox News time slot. I will watch on C Span.

They will be surprised to find that in many neighborhoods their 'chaos and violence' will be met with a triple dose of whatever they bring. Folks in much of the country won't put up with violence in their neighborhoods, and if arsonist try to burn people's home, there will be fewer arsonists at the end of the evening.
