It started one ordinary day, in one otherwise ordinary session: A beautiful young woman I had known for a few years wanted to cut off her breasts. (snip) So I told her. She had a long history of abuse, abandonment, and self-mutilation. Given that, I suggested, didn’t it seem like another aspect of self-hatred and rage? (snip) I urged her to take time to really consider all the ramifications (snip) For weeks afterward I found myself fighting off fears of being reported to the licensing board for not agreeing with her and realized, finally, that the whole profession had become a political platform.

Barack Obama's speech at the DNC's misbegotten cyber-convention worked only for those Americans, including most in the media, who paid no serious attention to the eight years of Obama's presidency. (snip) What follows are some of the riffs that I, and likely they, found most entertaining.
Obama began by telling us the Constitution "wasn't a perfect document," implying that he would have done better had he been there. (snip) Here was one of my favorite Obama lines: "Joe knows the world, and the world knows him." No one denies that, especially not the Russian and Ukrainian oligarchs.

Does anyone believe that if she were white, Kamala Harris would have been chosen as Joe Biden’s veep? (snip) Kamala Harris, daughter of Tamil and Jamaican immigrants, was deemed by Biden’s handlers to be acceptably melanin-rich. After all, Barack Obama was also biracial and passed muster

In terms of the reality TV show of the presidential campaign, Goodyear has caved-in to Donald Trump’s pressure and affirmed its support for law enforcement, handing a potent symbolic victory to his reelection effort. The now-notorious Topeka “zero tolerance” slide framed a simple tale of PC bullies taking over a corporation and terrorizing the employees into verbal conformity, silently hewing to the party line with all the enthusiasm of a 1986 East German. Donald Trump, the champion of the liberty of the ordinary American, fought back

The digital Democratic National Convention kicked off this week with a pre-recorded video of “America’s most impactful community leaders” reading the preamble to America’s Constitution. The various participants, mostly Democratic politicians and party activists, might be alarmed to learn that their segment featured Donna Hylton, a 55-year-old Jamaican woman convicted for the kidnapping, rape, torture, and murder of a 62-year-old Long Island real estate broker in 1986. (snip) Just yesterday, reporters bristled after President Trump refused to disavow Qanon, an online conspiracy group suggesting that the Democratic party shields rapists and pedophiles for political purposes.

If the media were to ask President Trump, "Are you a natural born citizen?," he would probably respond with, "My father, an American citizen, Fred Trump, was born in New York City, and my mother, Mary Anne, was born in Scotland and became a naturalized American citizen in March 1942.(snip) If you listened to the media, you would think there is no definition anywhere of "natural born citizen." The media assert that the clause "natural born citizen" isn't defined anywhere in the U.S. Constitution. But the media hide the fact that "natural born citizen" was specifically defined in the Naturalization Act of 1790.

Michelle Obama famously said, “When they go low, we go high.” She should have reminded her husband before he gave his speech for the online Democrat convention.
Standing in a room in Philadelphia, with the words “Writing the Constitution” over his right shoulder, Obama gave a speech that almost wholly ignored Biden, whom he’d ostensibly come to praise. Instead, Obama viciously attacked Trump and did a constitutional rewrite that allowed him to cast Trump as a constitutional threat.
From the start, Obama was up to his old tricks. Even while he wanted to use the Constitution to challenge Trump, he couldn’t praise it.

In a recent OpEd from The Guardian, author Larry Elliot opines on the frequency of obesity among low-income households in the U.K., and points out that the problem “in the U.S. mirrors that of the U.K.” Elliot goes on to proclaim, that, “there will be less obesity when people can afford to eat better.”
The premise is that poor folks are victims of one injustice or another; in Elliot’s case, he claims they are unable to afford healthy food. This notion has been floating around for several years now, particularly as it relates to children, and is one that is frequently parroted by the left in America.

Forget the happy talk of the mainstream media. The Democrats are a coalition of mutually antagonistic factions, united only by their hatred of President Donald Trump. They couldn't even keep a lid on the conflict between the dominant radicals and the pseudo-moderates propping up senescent Joe Biden as a putative centrist. Don’t look for the mainstream media to mention this, but the Biden campaign actually disavowed one of the speakers during last night’s Democratic National Convention internet TV show, Linda Sarsour and she is muttering about retaliation at the polls.

The political party that has a near-lock on donations and endorsements from the entertainment industry could not muster a tolerable video feed to take advantage of the 2 hours of free television coverage available to them last night. The series of pre-recorded video presentations offered as a substitute for an actual Democrat political convention was so tedious that even one of the runners-up in the Democrats’ contest panned it in a tweet (snip) Trump-hating Republican John Kasich’s segment came in for a ton of mockery

In composing my new book, Unmasking Obama: The Fight to Tell the True Story of a Failed Presidency, I thought hard about whether I should address the question of Barack Obama's sexuality.
Two considerations persuaded me to pursue the issue. One was the no-holds-barred media treatment of the sex life, real and imagined, of Donald Trump and Brett Kavanaugh. The second was the fact that despite Obama's early feint to the center, his presidency was something of a golden age for gay America. A May 2012 Newsweek cover story, in fact, dubbed Obama "the first gay president."

With the media and the Democrats completely dedicated to fictional narratives, from Trump calling neo-Nazis “fine people” to the wacky conspiracy theory that Trump is sabotaging the US Postal Service in order to disenfranchise voters, the challenge facing the Trump campaign is letting truth annihilate propaganda.
I have long stressed that President Trump understands video narratives better than any other president in American history. He was the most successful reality television producer in the history of the medium (snip) We got an excellent preview of the developing mesages yesterday, thanks to Maria Bartiromo.
