Sounds like President Trump might be the new Michelin tire man—and that’s not a joke about his weight. Trump called for a boycott of Goodyear tires Tuesday after the company’s workplace tolerance policy banned his trademark #MAGA caps as a display of hate speech on the job. “Don’t buy GOODYEAR TIRES - They announced a BAN ON MAGA HATS,” Trump tweeted.(Snip) The ban, which was presented to employees via slides shown by a plant manager, said #MAGA hats are “not acceptable” attire under a “zero-tolerance” policy toward hateful speech. Goodyear also reportedly told workers not to wear anything supporting particular political candidates.

Goodbye Goodyear. Hope you can make it on your sales to Transgenders, BLM and Antifa. If you had refused to take sides, we, on the right, would have given you the benefit of the doubt. But now you've made it clear.
You're the enemy.

I'll bet Goodyear has an annual Code of Conduct training, which likely includes things about not being able to discriminate, or retaliate against people for a lot of things, which include political affiliation, I believe.
Wonder if Goodyear has any Federal contracts which also likely prohibits them from discriminating and retaliating.

Years ago I watched a beady eye little twerp of a man from Dunkin Donuts, standing next to an arrogant pig of a man, Jesse Jackson, smiling broadly after having just been shaken down for a couple of million dollars to fund Jacksons protection racket. Compared to the blm marxist, Jackson is a piker.

This is disappointing. Ive been using Goodyear almost exclusively for tires and vehicle service.
I just fired off an email that I would no longer be using their services.

#7 is right. BLM is a major racket, blackmailer (no pun intended), billion dollar corporation. They bribe, threaten, and extort millions. ALL based on fraud.
So, where is the Justice Department?

Really, how stupid can anyone in Goodyear Corporate HR get, to take sides with the criminals, and to ban people's political expression with MAGA hats? Nobody asked them to take sides. Some Leftist moron thought he should speak on behalf of the company and alienate half of the customer base.
Whoever decided this at Goodyear should be fired. I wish I had some Goodyear stock, so I could dump it.

One more thing. Friend is a civil litigator. He tells me that DAs now must attend sensitivity training. I'm sure blm demanded. There were rumblings about that early on, that here in NH there is "systemic racism", a catch-all phrase to literally create an inescapable circular maze argument. We just happen to have a very small minority population. Overall our population is small. People pretty much live and let live.
Giant corporations and "foundations" give millions to this organization which somehow sprang up fully formed like Athena from the head of Zeus, or maybe housefly from larva, more apropos.
Blm is like NAZI storm-troopers, Black Panthers (lest we forget, there were plenty of white leftists in the Panthers) in new clothes, and must be exposed for what it asserts, promotes, demands: allegiance, money, power.

I'd have no problem if they banned everything, but Black Lives Matter is OK, but Blue Lives Matter and MAGA isn't. Sounds like "Animal Farm" - some slogans are more equal than others.

Companies are expressing their political views, and donating part of their earnings to political causes. I cannot see how they can express their views in the workplace, and the marketplace, and employees not be allowed to express their views. The zero tolerance policy of Goodyear, and the expression of political views, apparently does not apply to their executive suite.

So now, the inclusive term "all lives matter" is not socially equitable, however, "black lives matter" "falls within the scope of equity issues". Animal Farm, indeed!

Someone should tell Goodyear that people in Leftist cities hate cars and their tires that are made from oil. Conservatives in rural and suburban areas drive cars, trucks, and tractors. Police departments buy tires for millions of police departments. Go Woke. Go Broke.

As far as I am concerned, Goodyear makes subpar products. My Left Front Exploded at Interstate Speeds, almost causing a terrible accident.
I immediately change all Tires on any Vehicle to Michelin, my son just bout a new vehicle and changed all Goodyear to Michelin immediately.
I could site tens of problems I have personally experienced with Goodyear. They are not a quality product.
So, I had already boycotted Goodyear for Safety Reasons. And now you know further how dumb their Management really is.
Drive on Goodyear at your own Risk.

By Goodyear saying they are not being political by only supporting groups like BLM or LGBTQ, THEY ARE BEING POLITICAL and defeating the purpose of their own policy. They cannot pick and choose winners and losers in which "groups" are allowed and which are not. Either all are banned or none are banned. The things being done in the name of "diversity" and "inclusion" these days are neither diverse or inclusive. These actions are just creating more divisions among people as the thought police are going wild.

''He also suggested Goodyear’s products are substandard and too expensive.''
''Get better tires for far less!'' he added.
Those are two different statements, one of which President Trump did not make.
David Goldiner owes President Trump an apology, as well as a correction to his fake news statement!

We have Goodyear tires on all three of our vehicles right now.
But as I just informed Goodyear, those are the last Goodyear tires we will ever buy.
Discrimination based on evil intention is always wrong!!! And that is exactly what Goodyear has decided to do. You would thing in these trying times, companies would be trying to avoid making a large chunk of their potential customer base very angry. But I guess being "woke" is worth bankruptcy to people with tiny lie-beral brains!!!

Obviously the hierarchy at Goodyear has turned stupid, and you know what they say, you can’t fix stupid. So it will be interesting to watch and see how long Goodyear will survive after loosing half its customers through their self politicization?
