Waking up and smelling the socialist coffee, New York's Gov. Cuomo is doing Mayor Bill de Blasio's job now, begging New York City's residents to not move away from New York City. The middle class, the rich and the super-rich are doing just that, with 420,000 already just getting the hell out. (snip) It's what happens in all socialist hellholes, from East Berlin to Caracas. People flee. It's not a bug, it's a feature. According to this 2018 Empire Center report, rich people in what's known as the top 1% -- making more than $713,706 a year --pay more than 50% of New York state's taxes

The Urban Reinvestment Act of 2021 (my title) is templated for introduction on “day one” of the BIden regime. Democrat states and the crime, drug, bankrupt and corruption infested cities within count on one of the all-time raids on the U.S. Treasury. The democrat ruling class have received assurances. Well connected democrat dregs are jockeying for position at the public trough awaiting disbursement of $trillions in taxpayer funded slop from the bucket.

Shouldn't he be proud of himself? His actions are handily destroying his state which is the left's goal. He has done his job so well that I would not be surprised to find that statues will be erected in his honor by his bedfellows. The media will still celebrate him. Now he is waking up to the unfortunate fact that every act has a consequence attached to it and he overlooked a BIG one. Did he really think that people would want to continue to live in NYC and pay taxes for very few or no services provided to them?People who are called upon to part with their hard earned dollars expect some bang for their bucks. They definitely do not expect or want the "bang" to be gunshots. If he thought that he would retain these taxpayers after destroying his state on purpose he is more ignorant than his brother.

The schadenfreude is strong today and I could not be happier. It is about time that these blue states feel the sting of their evil and irresponsible policies. They all think that the taxpayers are going to bail them out, even with the jackboots still on the neck of the nation. Fat chance of getting any kind of agreement for that from the Silent Majority. I have a suggestion. The rich should all move to California. They would not affect the other 55 states and they would be among the people and conditions with which they are already familiar. Bonus, California has much better beaches than New York and New Jersey (when Newsom opens them).

Hillary Clinton’s loss of the 2016 presidential election to Donald Trump was so traumatic for members of the Democrat elite that a form of PTSD appears to have taken hold, relegating all memory of the candidacy itself to amnesia. That’s the only plausible explanation for a stunning column published by one of the paper’s stars, Maureen Dowd, and then excerpted in a tweet, completely relegating the Clinton-Kaine ticket to the memory hole. (snip) She let them down so badly that she is, in effect, a nonperson, like one of Stalin’s purged officials, someone who never existed at all.

Joe Biden has been in Washington, D.C., since 1972. It’s therefore easy to go through his past stances on issues and use those issues against him now. Doing so creates one kind of Biden v. Animals that are ambush hunters tend to be very still until they have their prey where they want them. Then, the ambush hunter is an explosion of efficient motion and the prey . . . well, the prey is toast. With Saturday’s executive orders and press conference, Trump proved himself to be a masterful ambush hunter, and the Democrats found themselves being hapless prey. As with so many of their initiatives in 2020, the Democrats got greedy. Time and time again, they’ve used the excuse of the Wuhan virus and George Floyd’s death to advance hard-left policies

On Tuesday night, President Trump announced that U.S. Attorney John Durham had uncovered “breathtaking” evidence about the “corrupt” Russia hoax. That might just have been Trump puffing, except for the fact that the Trump campaign also released a new video hinting that the Democrats, from Obama on down, are going to be in trouble. We are continually misled by progressive propaganda on the issue of race. Misinformation bleeds over to the conservative realm as well. (snip) Our Founders were born into a world they did not make. Inherited agricultural estates included slaves as property. Washington, Jefferson, and Madison detested the institution. Records of their writings and actions are clear on this. Those of us that care about actual justice can only view the newly leaked arrest video of George Floyd in one way: damning to the media narrative. A viewing of the video reveals that the events leading up to Floyd's unfortunate, entirely avoidable death are not as they initially seemed, and its release is nothing short of tossing a massive wrench into the agenda-driven gears of media and political discourse. The four officers might well be guilty of something, but the current second-degree charge of murder is not one of them. The political overreach in the case will cause nothing short of absolute chaos
