President Donald Trump on Sunday demanded the death penalty for Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev — whose execution was taken off the table by an appellate court last week.“Rarely has anybody deserved the death penalty more than the Boston Bomber, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev,” Trump tweeted Sunday afternoon. “The court agreed that this ‘was one of the worst domestic terrorist attacks since the 9/11 atrocities.’ Yet the appellate court tossed out the death sentence. So many lives lost….”“and ruined.

Boston cops should have shot the SOB on sight and put an untraceable gun in his dead hand. Case closed.

If the kid rots in solitary, it will be a living death. If he is in the general population, he will be passed around like a bag of potato chips.

Ok dems - defend this terrorist. Talk to the parents of the little boy that was killed. #1, the arrest was filmed live, IIRC. They used infrared technology to find him in that backyard boat.

They should have marched him out to the back fence immediately after the decision and popped his azz with a pistol...then this crapola would stop...

The problem with the 'life in prison' is that there is a good chance that some future progressive president will simply pardon him and he is out of jail. I have a vague memory of this happening with a couple of Puerto Ricon 'nationalists'.

Well, here’s one consideration...if he’s on death row, he gets his own cell. If he gets life in prison, he can be put in the general prison population where he will either be shivved or be every guy’s girlfriend. Remember the cover photo in Rolling Stone where they tried to make him into a sex symbol? Bet the other lifers will enjoy him since he’s so adorable.

Not a fan of the death penalty, but that being said, I would rather die via execution then spend decades in prison eating crappy food, fighting boredom and perpetually watching my back.

President Barack Obama’s address at the funeral of Representative John Lewis in Atlanta on Thursday, for the most part, was a moving tribute to a courageous pioneer in the civil rights movement. The total immersion in beatific praise that was accorded to the congressman throughout his prolonged itinerary between his physical death and actual burial was doubtless substantially deserved. (It does not allow for his dismissal of President Trump as “illegitimate,” and other reflections that were unseemly coming from a man so much praised for his graciousness and civility.)But embedded in Obama’s eloquent eulogy were reflections on the current political condition of the United States that were untrue

CHICAGO — She’s too ambitious. She’s not apologetic enough. She should smile more. The debate over Joe Biden’s running mate has recently ticked through a familiar list of stereotypes about women in politics as the Democratic presidential candidate and his allies stumble through a search they had hoped would stand out for its inclusion and diversity. Instead, the vice presidential vetting has resurfaced internal party divisions between the old-guard establishment and a younger generation that’s more attuned to gender and racial biases and willing to speak out. Some contend it’s just more evidence of why Biden needs a woman on his ticket.

Venezuela has the world’s highest murder rate because the police there don’t stop murder unless it helps politics. So long as homocide doesn’t threaten the power or wealth of the governing party, murders are largely unsolved and are often committed by the very police who should be preventing them. As Business Insider reports, in Venezuela murders happen with “widespread impunity” because of “the complete [dysfunction] of the judicial system that allows for a significant degree of impunity for some, usually high-profile, offenders, and, as a result, disregard for the law, because it’s selectively applied.”

A disconnect appears to have arisen between the Food and Drug Administration and a sizable number of physicians when it comes to prescribing hydroxychloroquine for COVID-19 patients. The situation garnered extra attention last week when a group of physicians billing themselves as America’s Frontline Doctors insisted that the drug could treat COVID-19 in a high-profile press conference in Washington. Clips of the event went viral on social media before being blocked on some platforms as misinformation. At the root of the disconnect is a medical practice known as "off-label prescribing.""Let doctors be doctors," said Dr. Alieta Eck,

Shutting things down “for a month or six weeks” would allow the nation’s case count to get low enough that the government’s testing and contact tracing efforts could effectively contain future spreading, Kashkari said,
