On Thursday night, every player and coach for the Jazz and Pelicans took a knee during the national anthem. In addition, every player wore a Black Lives Matter shirt. WATCH: (Tweet/Video) The NBA also endorsed the players’ protest by tweeting out video of the demonstration from the league’s official account.(Tweet/Video) Nearly every player wore a social justice message on their jerseys where their names usually go. Some messages read, “Freedom,” some said “Equality.”“Black Lives Matter” was emblazoned at the top of the court, directly above the NBA logo.

This reminds me of Rush, who after O'Mama was first elected, said the he hoped the new president failed. I am not neutral. I want all of these sports, all of which were American inventions and became enormous business successes, to fail - and spectacularly so.

I’ll know about these Kabuki actors only on news sites. I won’t watch any games; not even in restaurants or airports! That goes for all the sports. Even golf! (I have no idea if the U.S. Open was played or not as I write this. And I’m not going to bother looking it up). The reason? I don’t want to see any BLM horsethit anywhere where some people could take advantage of cameras and go political!

These sports franchises would be nothing without the fans. Here’s your chance America to stand up for what is right. Their ability to make money depends on people watching, going to the games and buying merchandise. Make your voice heard. You have more power than you realize. Just sit back and watch these anti-American fools destroy themselves. Now that is entertainment!

I have never really cared for "bast@rd ball" so I am not giving up on anything dear to me by boycotting it, sadly for me I was looking forward to football, but it seems the "social justice weenies" are going to ruin it once again as well. Perhaps what pushed bast@rd ball over the edge for me was my assignment as a remote cameraman for the old WNVT TV in DC...I was low man on the totem pole, so I was consistently assigned to cover the "sport"....hated it. It was after becoming fed up with that job that I surrendered (didn't burn it) my draft card and embarked on my U.S. Army adventures.

I think it was Rush who recently recounted all the businesses that would be effected when customers drift after from a sport. Primarily, the networks, who make such a large proportion of their income from broadcasting sports. If no one watches, the advertisers are not going to make much money, and when the advertisers lose, the networks lose; and the vendors who sell all those products with teams' logos; and the little guys, the people selling hot dogs and beers in the stadium, and also the hotel and car rental businesses; and on and on. Just because someone plays a sport well doesn't mean people should accept their disrespect of our National Anthem. And if they find a country who treats them better and pays them more than the U.S., then they should move there. They can learn the words of their new country's national anthem.

What a treat, watching both pro black sports and hollywood going down the drain at the same time. The geniuses that run BLM actually thought they were improving things when they started the rioting. Maybe they can somehow make some money from the tattooed, green-haired white girls that joined their cause. Can't help but wonder if they're smarter than they look. It's quite possible that they've done their homework and determined that the people who are angry and boycott are not needed - just as the people who erupted in furor over Nike's support for Colon didn't harm their bottom line. The NBA is making a bundle off the the Chinese. The Chinese want America weakened. The NBA is obliging. At this point the most logical action is to remove the NBA-China connection in the USA and force them to relocate to China.

Why are sports teams only allowed to express leftist sentiments, and wear leftist insignia? Why are only blacks allowed to express their political opinions? Rather odd to have to hear billionaire owners and millionaire players tell us we need more equality. Then we have to hear that we need more diversity in our workplaces, but the NBA is 95% black, and based on merit, but merit is not allowed in our workplaces. The left never wants a debate, because they always do the opposite of what they tell us we need to do.

At some point, BLM will lose its lustre/luster and those who were so eager to jump on its bandwagon will appear foolish--e.g., Pierre Delecto.

“The United States had become a place where entertainers and professional athletes were mistaken for people of importance. They were idolized and treated as leaders; their opinions were sought on everything and they took themselves just as seriously — after all, if an athlete is paid a million or more a year, he knows he is important … so his opinions of foreign affairs and domestic policies must be important, too, even though he proves himself to be both ignorant and sub-literate every time he opens his mouth.” - Robert A. I did some quick math regarding salaries in the NBA. I took the total salaries (without endorsements) and calculated that the NBA players could donate 99% of their salaries to black families. Each family would get roughly $1,750 per month. Guys like LaBron would still make $31,000 per month. Most everyone could live on that and the NBA players would be helping out and showing they really care about "black lives matter". Then we should get the NFL to do the same, since everyone is so concerned about BLM.

Far-left U.S. Rep. Karen Bass tried to walk back her past praise of Cuba’s late dictator Fidel Castro now that she is apparently on the shortlist of those under consideration to be Joe Biden’s vice presidential running mate. In an interview with Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday, the Los Angeles Democrat disavowed a November 2016 statement that Castro’s passing was a “great loss” for the Cuban people. When Wallace pressed her on what took so long for her to see the light, Bass, 66, implied that Florida lawmakers educated her about what Cuba looked like under the communist regime.“I absolutely would have not put that statement out,

Political rallies are a thing of the past, at least this year. Conventions are not happening, not in any recognizable way at least. But this reality hasn’t stopped Democrats from having a slice of both, only it comes with a side of death. More accurately, death comes with an opportunity to have a rally or a convention-esque speech. It’s pretty sick, actually. There are states that have allowed their entire population fewer funerals with fewer attendees than either George Floyd or John Lewis had. Nothing against either man. I’m sure their families miss them dearly, but there are

Former Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka said he would have benched players who refused to stand during the national anthem while he was coach. As professional sports players across the country continue to kneel during the national anthem in support of Black Lives Matter and ongoing protests, Ditka drew fire for telling TMZ in a recent interview that players should “get the hell out of the country” if they “can’t respect our national anthem.”“Oh, they wouldn’t have played for us,” Ditka told Fox News host Jesse Watters on Saturday night’s “Watters’ World” when asked what he would have done if one of his Bears players had refused to stand

With the coronavirus relief benefits expiring last Friday, and Democrats and Republicans still in negotiations over what the next round of aid would look like, self-described political referee and NBC political director Chuck Todd showed what a bought off rules enforcer could do during his routine appearance on NBC’s Sunday Today. In their report about the relief package negotiations just before Todd spoke, White House correspondent Kelly O’Donnell portrayed Democratic leaders as ones leading the charge to help struggling Americans:

You might never have come across Bon Appetit, a glossy monthly magazine which serves up a cosy mix of gourmet recipes, wine reviews and lifestyle tips to its 1.5 million readers. It is hard to imagine a less controversial publication, or one that's more quintessentially American with its aspirational blend of self-improvement and conspicuous consumption – and it has been attracting record digital subscriptions thanks to lockdown tips for banana bread and avocado toast. But popularity counted for nothing when a picture appeared online showing its editor of ten years, Adam Rapoport, dressed as a Puerto Rican at a Halloween fancy dress party.

Somehow, news that the Antifa-Black Lives Matter nexus burned a stack of Bibles in front of the Mark O. Hatfield United States Courthouse in Portland the other night put me in mind of President Trump’s magisterial speech in Krasinski Square, Warsaw, just over three years ago. A short digression: has any other modern president delivered so many brilliant speeches? The Warsaw speech was tip-top, but then so was his 2020 State of the Union speech and, just last month, his magnificent speech at Mount Rushmore. And let’s not forget his speech before both Houses of Congress in 2017 or his speech at the General Assembly of the United Nations

While rioters previously attacked federal buildings, businesses, and even officers, this weekend, they found a new target: Bibles. A video posted to Twitter on Saturday shows rioters holding Black Lives Matter signs tossing Bibles into a fire. Bystanders stood and watched as the flames licked away at the pages of the books. “Left-wing activists bring a stack of Bibles to burn in front of the federal courthouse in Portland,” wrote the Twitter user, Ian Cheong, who posted the video.

President Trump seems determined to sow confusion and chaos ahead of the 2020 election. Laurence Tribe says the president is trying to make the election ‘look chaotic’ and mentions a ‘fail safe’: President Nancy Pelosi. "There is a procedure -- it's a very elaborate procedure -- in every state for resolving disputes by the date of the so-called safe harbor on December 8th," Tribe explained. "So, really, all of the efforts that Trump is making to both pretend that he can extend the date of the election, which everyone understands he can't do that. That date is set at November 3rd by act of Congress."

On Aug. 1, 1945, 12-year-old Hideko Sudo went to bed fully clothed and full of worry. For days, air raid alerts had left the coastal city of Toyama on edge, prompting her school's closure. More alarmingly, earlier that day, American planes had rained down leaflets warning of an imminent attack. Hideko's fears proved well-founded. Despite a sophisticated alert system and a decade of air defense drills, the arrival just after midnight of a wave of B-29 bombers plunged Toyama into chaos. Superfortresses — 173 of them — encountered only sparse antiaircraft fire as they released around 1,500 tons of incendiaries onto the city's center.

While professional football, baseball, and basketball players have been opting out of their upcoming seasons by the dozens, less has been heard from the nation’s collegiate athletes. Well, that’s beginning to change. According to a report obtained by ESPN, a group of players from several different Pac-12 schools have threatened to sit out preseason and regular season games unless the Pac-12 makes certain concessions. In a text message from the group, the aim is to “obtain a written contract with the Pac-12 that legally ensures we are offered the following protections and benefits.”

Former national security adviser Susan Rice would be a “human lightning rod” if selected to be Democrat Joe Biden’s running mate, a Washington Post columnist wrote Friday. Rice, who is reported to be among shrinking list of Biden vice presidential contenders, has the advantage of a longstanding close relationship with Biden, unlike any of the other names on the list. But Biden's want for “familiarity and comfort” are luxuries the nation doesn’t have time for in this singular time of crisis, Post columnist Dana Milbank writes. Despite Rice’s impressive resume -- Rhodes scholar, Oxford, U.N ambassador, national security adviser -- she has serious Benghazi baggage

President Trump has been speaking out against mail-in voting for weeks now. Democrats know it is easier to cheat and steal votes when a state moves to mail-in voting. It’s the reason Nevada Democrats on Saturday passed mail-in voting and ballot harvesting in their special session just 97 days before the national election. They know it’s easier to cheat that way. President Trump posted this video earlier this week that shows how corrupt and flawed the mail-in voting process is in America today. [Video] But Marco Rubio sided with Democrats today. During a phone call with President Trump Marco told listeners he was not concerned about mail-in voting in Florida.

A new poll released this weekend shows President Donald Trump, the incumbent GOP president, has taken a national and battleground states lead over his Democrat challenger presumptive nominee former Vice President Joe Biden. The survey, from the Democracy Institute commissioned by the Sunday Express newspaper, shows Trump leading Biden 48 percent to 46 percent. What’s more, Trump has opened up a bigger lead according to this poll in the crucial battleground states, meaning the president by this pollster’s estimates currently is projected to win 309 electoral votes—more than he did in 2016.

WASHINGTON — Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is perhaps the most forthcoming member of the Supreme Court when it comes to telling the public about her many health issues. But she waited more than four months to reveal that her cancer had returned and that she was undergoing chemotherapy. One big difference from her past battles with cancer is that Ginsburg and the rest of the court have been out of the public eye since early March because of the coronavirus pandemic. That’s when they decided to close the building except for official business, then later postponed arguments and agreed to
