Spending on Christmas parties among
allegations in ethics report on Sanford Bishop

Rep. Sanford D. Bishop Jr. may have used thousands in campaign funds for personal expenses on gas fill-ups for him and his family, greens fees at country clubs, luxurious trips and school tuition. Further, the Georgia Democrat also may have spent more than $16,000 in taxpayer money for joint Christmas parties — featuring a saxophonist and DJ equipment — with his congressional staff and his wife’s employees, according to an Office of Congressional Ethics report released Friday. The OCE report was released because the House Ethics Committee decided to further extend its investigation into Bishop.

Typical democrat. They think tax dollars are for their personal use. Of course, so do many Republicans but they are not as blatant about it. All politicians should undergo an audit every year and be able to explain how they legally received any money that exceeds their paycheck!

Excerpts from article: $16,000 in taxpayer money for joint Christmas parties — campaign funds to pay for personal fuel charges —— From 2009 to 2019 Bishop’s campaign committee paid over $30,000 in campaign funds for membership dues, range fees among other expenditures. Bishop paid a $5,000 initiation fee with campaign funds to join Green Island. Between 2014 and 2019, Bishop spent over $16,200 in campaign funds on meals and golf cart fees. Bishop took a three-day golf trip in 2018, funded by campaign dollars, to Reynolds Lake Oconee, a luxury golf and lakeside resort in Georgia. Bishop and his guests played three rounds of golf, each costing over $1,000. Their stay at a cottage cost the campaign over $2,300. Either Bishop, or his wife pressured the country club to mislabel Christmas party invoices as “constituents meetings.” That is proof beyond doubt of criminal intent. A Republican would have resigned under indictment. But CBC felony thefts are dismissed as “errors.” The two tiered justice system is SOP.

Sometimes you close down the bar. And sometimes the Barr closes down you! I think Attorney General Barr should volunteer to do as many hearings as Democrats want. There are at least two Democratic ex-senators (McCaskill and Donnelly) who blame their loss in the 2018 election to the Democratic freak show over the Kavanaugh nomination. Here’s a fun idea for our Troller-in-Chief: suggest appointing Barr to the Supreme Court.

Protesters in Gotham and other cities around the nation are so used to getting their way, they’ve been spoiled. Their illegal occupation of our streets and parks has become so routine that the protesting class throws tantrums when it faces consequences, however rarely that happens. Last week’s arrest of Nikki Stone, wanted for alleged serial vandalism of police cameras, was a case in point. The 18-year-old homeless woman was marching in a “peaceful,” though non-permitted, march down Second Avenue when plainclothes NYPD officers arrested her and put her in an unmarked van.

One of the basic tasks of the political Left, not only in contemporary America but on a worldwide basis ever since the French Revolution, is to identify those social institutions that are healthy and functional, then ruin them completely, and call this result “reform.” Sometimes millions of people die as a result of the Left’s appetite for “reform” (e.g., collectivization of agriculture in the Soviet Union), but always innocent people are made to suffer on behalf of the allegedly idealistic motives of the self-anointed progressive “reformers.” Scarcely half a century ago, America’s system of higher education was the envy of the world,

Good for her. A Sunday morning political show gave Dr. Birx a chance to respond to Speaker Pelosi’s snide remarks about her as she was interviewed on CNN. She was asked about Pelosi’s criticism of her during a private meeting with White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchen on Friday night. Birx delivered an unequivocal response. Pelosi’s remarks against Birx were leaked to the press, of course, and it seems that her vitriol toward Birx came from a New York Times article in July. In that critical piece against Dr. Birx and her performance during the coronavirus pandemic, Birx was described as “Pollyannish”

Florida wildlife officials announced last week that 5,000 invasive Burmese pythons have been removed from the delicate Everglades ecosystem since setting up elimination programs three years ago. Teams with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) worked together to reach the milestone effort, the agencies said in a statement on Tuesday. SFWMD Governing Board Member “Alligator Ron” Bergeron called the milestone “another win for the Everglades.” “Every snake counts,” he said. “Each invasive python eliminated represents hundreds of native Florida wildlife saved.”

A fundamental and tragic fact of life in America today is that whatever President Trump is for, most media and half the country instantly reject. Even when he’s clearly right, the zombie-like resistance leaps into frenetic opposition. Take the case of universal mail-in voting. Trump insists that the plans of some states, such as California and Colorado, to counter the pandemic by mailing a ballot to every registered voter is a formula for disaster. It will, the president says, guarantee mayhem and cast doubts on the November results.

Laurence Tribe says the president is trying to make the election ‘look chaotic’ and mentions a ‘fail safe’: President Nancy Pelosi. "There is a procedure -- it's a very elaborate procedure -- in every state for resolving disputes by the date of the so-called safe harbor on December 8th," Tribe explained. "So, really, all of the efforts that Trump is making to both pretend that he can extend the date of the election, which everyone understands he can't do that. That date is set at November 3rd by act of Congress."

More alarmingly, earlier that day, American planes had rained down leaflets warning of an imminent attack. Hideko's fears proved well-founded. Despite a sophisticated alert system and a decade of air defense drills, the arrival just after midnight of a wave of B-29 bombers plunged Toyama into chaos. Superfortresses — 173 of them — encountered only sparse antiaircraft fire as they released around 1,500 tons of incendiaries onto the city's center.

It’s the reason Nevada Democrats on Saturday passed mail-in voting and ballot harvesting in their special session just 97 days before the national election. They know it’s easier to cheat that way. President Trump posted this video earlier this week that shows how corrupt and flawed the mail-in voting process is in America today. [Video] But Marco Rubio sided with Democrats today.
