Officials from the Department of Justice have officially filed a request with the courts asking for the removal of special protection for journalists in the ongoing riots in Portland, due to rioters often disguising themselves as journalists in order to commit violence, according to Politico. In a filing submitted to U.S. District Court Judge Michael Simon, the Department of Justice asks Simon to consider overturning his previous temporary restraining order (TRO) issuing special protections for journalists, which, among other privileges, allowed journalists to remain in place even if the police force rioters back or attempt to disperse the crowds.

And then they don’t get it right… “Peaceful protestors”? We’re not supposed to trust our lyin’ eyes and ears?

Who knew that 'journalists' were such a valued commodity? How about special protection for conservatives and Trump supporters?

With the Libs, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if 'real journalists committed acts of violence just to spice things up.

Great idea. Maybe the journalist won’t have the guts to broadcast without protection and the protestors won’t get air time. Sick of watching these terrorists, thugs, and hoodlums anyway.

Give those journalists a helmet and a strobe light, make them wear reflective vests. Put them hip waders and give them an antenna to carry as like a fly rod with a bicycle flag attached --USA stars and stripes. Special things for special people.

That's funny. In today's media, mostly all journalists are imposters. There might be a real one here and there but when the mouth opens, the fakes give themselves away.

Orlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac chose not to join his teammates in protest Friday. While the rest of the Magic got down on one knee during the national anthem, Isaac chose to stand. Isaac, 22, was the only player to do so. Isaac was also the lone player on the court who didn’t wear a Black Lives Matter shirt. Instead, he wore his Magic jersey and warmup pants during the anthem. With the move, Isaac becomes the first NBA player to stand during the national anthem since the restart.(Snip)I didn’t feel like putting that shirt on and kneeling went hand in hand in supporting Black lives, or that it

While a world without textbooks or homework and where getting the wrong answer is celebrated may sound like an elementary student’s fantasy, that becoming reality would damage a generation of young minds. However, that is exactly what is happening in public elementary schools. I recently spoke with a fourth grade teacher from the midwest, who shared her experiences of curriculum shifting from history and science and towards political indoctrination, to the detriment of students’ learning. For this person’s privacy, she will remain nameless. In supervising fourth grade, she teaches a little of everything: math, reading, language arts, social studies, and science. Recently her school district, like many others, switched to “integrated curriculum.”

It is axiomatic that the middle of the political spectrum is where electoral majorities are made. The middle is where the independent voters who decide elections reside. The middle is where both parties spend the bulk of their time assessing and seducing. (Snip) Independent voters, even those who lean one way or the other at any given time, are not ideological. They are practical. Their primary concern is which candidate, party, and policies will make things better or, alternately, do the least harm? While political circumstances temporarily can rankle the ranks of independents, by and large there are no malcontents in the American middle. They love America and want

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court has allowed President Trump to defy Congress and continue to spend more than $6 billion diverted from military funds to pay for the construction of a border wall in parts of Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and California. By 5-4 vote, the justices on Friday rebuffed lawyers for the Sierra Club and House Democrats who sued to challenge Trump’s diversion of funds as illegal and unconstitutional. They won rulings before judges in California and Texas, but in a brief order last summer, the court allowed Trump to continue spending the disputed funds while the litigation continues.

Former president Barack Obama fanned the flames of racial resentment in his politicized eulogy for the late Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) at his funeral in Atlanta, Georgia, Thursday afternoon, comparing law enforcement officers and President Trump to racist Democrats Bull Connor and George Wallace. (Snip)As American Greatness has previously reported, statistics do not support the Black Lives Matter narrative that law enforcement in the United States is systemically racist, but Obama could not resist the opportunity to divide the nation along racial lines like he did for eight long years as president. Thousands of newly unsealed court documents involving Jeffrey Epstein indicate that the late-sex predator joked, according to the testimony of one of his alleged victims, that former President Bill Clinton owed him “favors.” Virginia Roberts Guiffre, one of Epstein’s most high-profile victims, told lawyers in 2011 that Clinton was a guest at Epstein’s private estate in the U.S. Virgin Islands shortly after leaving the White House. Guiffre, who was 17-years-old at the time of the visit, claims that Clinton stayed at the estate with “two young girls” from New York. Clinton’s appearance was surprising as, according to Giuffre, “orgies were a constant thing that took place” at Epstein’s Caribbean estate.

Well, it may be time to deploy the military to Seattle after all because what local lawmakers are doing is nothing short of allowing the city to be engulfed in violence and anarchy. They’re moving to abolish the police. It’s not defunding. It’s a total dissolution. Non-profit programs and “community-led activities” will replace policing. Why? Well, according to the resolution, the Seattle Police Department perpetuates racism and violence. Oh, yes, and it’s a vehicle of white supremacy. It's typical 'woke' nonsense, and it's a cancer that's killing America.

Admiration for George W. Bush doesn’t win you much praise in today’s Republican Party, but I don’t care. On Thursday former President George W. Bush attended and delivered a speech at the late Congressman John Lewis’s funeral. George W. Bush had every reason not to attend Lewis’s funeral, let alone eulogize him. Lewis may have been a famed civil rights leader, but he was also a bitter partisan Democrat congressman, who boycotted both of Bush’s inaugurations. Bush barely mentioned the political division between him and Lewis. “John and I had our disagreements of course,” Bush said.
