On Wednesday, the American Civil Liberties Union of Oregon sued the Portland Police Bureau, trying to block them from livestreaming protests. The ACLU claimed in their lawsuit, “By livestreaming videos of protesters, PPB collects or maintains information about their political or social views, associations and activities.”“Plaintiffs have no adequate remedy at law for PPB’s violations, which pose a serious and imminent threat of irreparable harm to them and other protesters alike,” the lawsuit continues. “Specifically, PPB cannot ‘undo’ a video through which its officers identify or otherwise collect information about a protester.

If you are out in public, there is no expectation to privacy in the law. That is why there are CCTV all over and are legal. Frivolous lawsuit by the ACLU, will be tossed immediately.

Get back to me after you've dropped some lawsuits on Governor Gruesome Newsom and his band of merry Jackass Dim state chief executives.

So the American Civil Liberties Union is for "civil liberties" in the same way the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is a "democratic republic." I used to roll my eyes when Edwin Meese called them "the criminals' lobby" but with this lawsuit that is certainly what the ACLU is being. Along with stupid. I'd love to see a judge assess attorney's fees against them for this one.

How can video taping terrorists be wrong, when the said videos show 99.99% of the protesters are video taping while their buddies toss firebombs? Would the irreparable harm they're talking about be like blinded by lasers, or shot with high power fireworks armed with nails, or burnt by IED fire bombs? What the government should do, is a lifelong ban of any identified terrorists from any future aid from the federal government, an immediate call for the payment of their student loans on penalty of jail, and loss of all their current government free stuff. They hate the US, so the US needs to stop supporting them, and their enabling parents.

The easy solution is to go home and stop protesting. If you stood there and held a sign and chanted like a Tibetan monk, you are golden. If you threw fire bombs and bricks, you broke the law and should be hunted down and made to pay the penalty.

The statute must be read in its entirety. It is illegal “unless such information directly relates to an investigation of criminal activities, and there are reasonable grounds to suspect the subject of the information is or may be involved in criminal conduct.” Please correct me if I am wrong, but trying to set fire to the federal courthouse qualifies as criminal activity.

Think about this, if the ACLU were to win this case, then all govt sponsored cameras at every level of govt would have to be taken down. That includes at govt buildings, traffic cameras at intersections, highways, toll booths, etc. If you can't film the public protests then you can't film anything.

News crews an film protesters / rioters and show it across the nation with no issue from the ACLU. Protesters film themselves protesting, looting, and and others and post it on social media hoping to go viral with no issue from social media. Why the issue with the police who just film it for themselves. If the news media or protesters were told they could no longer film themselves protesting and rioting the ACLU would be screaming censorship and free speech rights. Don't the police have free speech rights too?

California’s first major wildfire of the year grew to more than 20,000 acres overnight after destroying one home, forcing thousands more to be evacuated and sending up a plume of smoke so massive that it generated its own winds, authorities said. The fire had burned at least 20,516 acres and was 0% contained as of 6 a.m. Sunday.

Political rallies are a thing of the past, at least this year. Conventions are not happening, not in any recognizable way at least. But this reality hasn’t stopped Democrats from having a slice of both, only it comes with a side of death. More accurately, death comes with an opportunity to have a rally or a convention-esque speech. It’s pretty sick, actually. There are states that have allowed their entire population fewer funerals with fewer attendees than either George Floyd or John Lewis had. Nothing against either man. I’m sure their families miss them dearly, but there are

More alarmingly, earlier that day, American planes had rained down leaflets warning of an imminent attack. Hideko's fears proved well-founded. Despite a sophisticated alert system and a decade of air defense drills, the arrival just after midnight of a wave of B-29 bombers plunged Toyama into chaos.
