The beauty of using taxpayer money is that there's so little connection between the person whose money is swiped from their paychecks and the recipient. FTA: "Some of the payments and purchases included a vehicle for her daughter, clothing, accessories and hair and beauty products; expenses related to her wedding and honeymoon and later legal fees for her divorce; payments on her personal debts, including credit cards, store charge cards, student loans and other personal loans; travel and entertainment for herself and her family; improvements to her personal residence; expenses related to a body aesthetics business she owned and a snow cone business operated by her children; and an event for her state senate campaign."

Wow, I thought I just missed it. So I did a search on the page, and could not find a party affiliation anywhere in this article. Which, by default, means "Democrat".
If she had been a Republican, it would have been mentioned 47 times in this article.
So it appears that WMC is another media subsidiary of the Demon-Rat National Committee. I guess it would only be shocking these days if they weren't!!!

Of course if she were a Republican, that bit of information would have appeared in the first sentence.

I am dismayed that she would not be forced to repay the $600,000. She is a liar and a thief. Hope they convict her and throw her rear end in jail.

Interesting how the media never identifies them as democrats when they are under investigation or have been indicted.

BLACK and DEMOCRAT - but then you already knew that. Reverse kudos to the writer for avoiding both bits of description.

So they had enough evidence to get a search warrant and arrest her but she is innocent and only being targeted for being a social justice warrior. It can be a profitable gig.

I am 100% convinced leftists are stealing and somehow funneling taxpayer dollars to themselves, and it's been going on for a long time. I also believe the obama's, clinton's and others appear to have gotten millions for book advances and Netflix type deals, when the money really came from the Treasury somehow. People are still trying to figure out how barack got his hands on the billions of US dollars that were delivered to Iran.

Ah, Shelby County that is Memphis, Tennessee. The Detroit of the South.
If we in Tennessee could saw it off like a gangrenous limb, we would gladly do it. Cesspit.

Her comment FTA: I am committed to continuing to serve with the same integrity, the same passion that I’ve demonstrated since you elected me to this office.”
Is that a threat or a promise?

I think she has been in office less that 2 years, fast learner.
The people of Tennessee would like to offer the city of Memphis to the people of Arkansas.
No money, no strings....just annex it.

What a touching statement, Katrina. You had no integrity before or you would not have embezzled the people of Shelby County’s money.

There is a decades long undeniable pattern in the mainstream press of articles about corrupt democrats that don't cite party affiliation, or bury the D word in closing paragraphs. But if the story is about a scandal ridden Republican, party identity is customarily found in the headline, or lede.

No where in the article is party affiliation of Katrina Robinson mentioned. Needless to say Ms. Robinson is a Democrat. But we must remember that the greatest grifters of them all were Democrats. Ms. Robinson's alleged fraud of a couple of millions is paltry compared to the Clintons and their foundation. If found guilty, she could share confinement with her sister. One can only hope justice will prevail.

This person runs a company with a mission so vital that it needs magical "federal funding" to operate. Plucking money from trees and gaining personal clout probably explains why most people go into politics in the first place. Might she be kin to the estimable "Michelle" Obama?
