The Washington Post on Friday agreed to settle a monster $250 million lawsuit filed by Covington Catholic High School student Nick Sandmann over its botched coverage of his 2019 encounter with a Native American elder.Sandmann declared the victory in a tweet on his 18th birthday. It’s unclear how much the newspaper settled for.“On 2/19/19, I filed $250M defamation lawsuit against Washington Post. Today, I turned 18 & WaPo settled my lawsuit,” he wrote.“Thanks to @ToddMcMurtry & @LLinWood for their advocacy. Thanks to my family & millions of you who have stood your ground by supporting me.

Good news.
Now, there is also another group of people needing advocates, and this is the growing number of people who have been and are being politically persecuted. These are the people who fear expressing their beliefs --political, religious, social-- using their First Amendment rights because they risk losing their jobs, or have already lost their jobs.
This NEVER should have gotten to the point we're at. No-one on the side of oppression has had to pay a price. Now this blackmailing thuggery is run amok in sports from kids' grades to professional, throughout the corporate world and of course academia.
The plague of PC has done more damage to our Liberty than any foreign enemy. We are being consumed from within. And it's got to be stopped.
If money damages can be assessed, we may see a change. That is, among civilized people. The barbarians in the streets can't be reasoned with, they have been brainwashed, and then indoctrinated with anti-American hatred.

Unfortunately - - even $250 million isn't even a decimal point to the evil Bezos.
I'm glad Sandmann is cleaning up - - but I wish something much worse could have befallen Bezos.

oberlin kollidge did not settle..
they lost in court and are now contesting..
THIS appears to be a settlement agreed upon by both parties..
it may not be for the 250 million, but it is probably substantial for Nick..
and..
more importantly..
it leads the way for many OTHER people to sue these PC Monsters..
if they settled for, let's say, 2.5 million, there are attorney's fees as well
their insurance premiums will be raised..
all good.. MSM DELENDO EST

Ok, so let's have a betting pool on what kind of car the kid will buy first? Mustang, Corvette, Porsche, Ferrari, Maseratti, Tesla, Mercedes, Bently, Aston Martin, Rolls? Tough choices for sure.

No, Nick! No sports cars! Use the money wisely, Get an education (at a decent college, I'm sure Hillsdale has a spot for you).
Many, many years ago, there was a tragic school bus accident in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas, killing a couple dozen kids (a soda truck driver ran a stop sign, although he claimed the brakes failed). Anyway, lawsuits flew like leaves in a storm. Kids who survived the crash got big settlements as well. As these kids turned 18, they started cashing in on fast cars, etc. Several died in accidents with those fast cars.

#2, I believe PC was instituted as an early part of the communist agenda, whereby the meaning of certain words is altered to supposedly avoid being offensive and signals virtue. This euphemistic technique has spawned the gender and ethnicity issues which have dominated public discourse far too much and for far too long.

He will collect the $$$ #1.
Nick won't need to worry about $$$ for the rest of his life.
Hope he doesn't waste any on a useless college degree.
The question is will anyone get fired for the cost of all this?

#10 He should.not spend one cent on any college "education". Join an apprentice program. Plumbing, electrician, welder, or anything worthwhile. Contact Mike Rowe. Trump's company could use a man such as Nick.

This is great - the 2nd to settle - Of course they didn't get $250 million, but the got $10-20-30-50milion....
This funds the attorneys to continue against the others.....don't need JGWentworth quick cash to settle now - have funds to go the distance if need be on the others to cough up Now, or pay bigly if they ever get to a Jury. There are 'Venture Capital' type attorneys that will 'invest' money to buys part of these lawsuits - I'll fund 10% of attorney fees, and get 10% of the settlement. After trial lawyers strike it big - like asbestos litigation, a lot of them take the windfall, and 'put $500k on this tort case'.....$2million on these patent lawsuits'......like placing bets on odds to win various lawsuits - depending on state laws, liberal judges, etc......

He and his attorneys already settled with CNN. Now they need to move on to settle with Jack Dorsey of Twitter. That moment was the luckiest day of that boy's life. Use your money wisely, Nick. The rest of your life, you'll be a target for gold-digger girlfriends.

Go to Asian University. Their academic standards are much much higher than ours. He'll have less chance of getting indoctrinated by the professors because they only stick with the program. Graduate and come back with a refreshed perspective and lead a productive life to MAGA.

If the attornies settled for less than 50%, as I suspect they did, they did a great disservice to Nick Sandman.

Nick would have to approve the settlement. If he got a million, it would be a great settlement for him.
