A pastor in Canada was fired for "theological reasons," her church said, after coming out as transgender in an online sermon. The Rev. Junia "June" Joplin, who is originally from North Carolina, surprised some in June with the announcement at Lorne Park Baptist Church in Mississauga, Ontario, during a service held online due to the coronavirus lockdown. "I want you to hear me when I tell you that I'm not just supposed to be a pastor. I'm supposed to be a woman," Joplin said.(Snip) More than half of the 111-member congregation voted to terminate the contract after Joplin came out,

This pastor-in-name-only will be far more shocked on the day he meets his maker.

FTA: "But Lorne Park never explicitly indicated they were one of those churches until Monday, when the slimmest of majorities made that decision for everyone." .....slimmest of majorities? And this FRAUD gets away making such statements and confesses the congregations made no derogatory statements against him/her. LIAR and FRAUD is thy name.

Just because someone wants to pretend they are something other than what they really are and were born as, does not mean that I have to play along with their make-believe world.

Down here in the US he/she would have been promoted to a Bishop or whatever their officials are called.
A person who succumbs to their own demons is not fit to guide other peoples lives.

I can't even tell anymore. Man pretending to be a woman? Woman pretending to be a man? Freak pretending to be a pastor? Attention-seeking missile looking destroy the happy lives of decent people?
Exit stage left, singing the transgender anthem "Home on Deranged."

The pastor spoke first with his spouse and sons, then announced everything from the pulpit. This may just be nitpicking, but (1) a sermon is supposed to focus on God and Scripture, not the pastor; and (2) blindsiding the congregation with such a revelation isn’t a very smart tactic.

If I announce that I am a giraffe, it would strongly suggest that I am mentally ill. Why? Because I am not a giraffe and a simple examination will show that. Its the same with these freaks. Nobody is really helping them by playing along with their delusions.

Someone mentioned to me that the "trans" is now acceptable in America. I responded no, it's because people have been bullied into accepting it, and if its not accepted you will be targeted. BLM is doing the exact same thing.
The pronoun thing is a stupid game.

Let me explain for some of you who don't know anything about Baptists. They are the ultimate independents. These churches don't answer to any higher authority, other than Jesus. There is no pope. The congregation votes on the budget and the staffing. The local congregation decides which pastor to hire, and what to pay him. The nationwide organizations they choose to send some of their money to are voluntary, and usually for the purpose of cooperating with other churches on mission work.
This is probably a liberal baptist church if they hired this pastor, but even they had their limits. Baptists are people of the Book, so she will find herself in a bad spot because she cannot justify her position in the Bible. She will find any number of liberal denominations that might welcome her.

He or she is an example of why there will never be a perfect crime; people are so proud of fooling us, they can't wait to ''confess.''

My grandfather, who had his Ph.D and was quite a respected man of God, was fired from a medium-sized Baptist church in Texas when his rebellious 17-year-old son punched him and broke a rib. He was fired because of the Biblical admonition from 1 Timothy 3 on the qualifications for a pastor or 'bishop' or deacon. "An overseer must manage his own household well and keep his children under control, with complete dignity. 5 For if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how can he care for the church of God?" Granddad did not question the decision of the church. Most of the Baptist churches that I have belonged to {full disclosure: I am now a member of a Methodist church, but may be going back Baptist if the Methodists follow the Presbyterians down the 'homosexual marriage' road) believe the same way. The Baptist congregation I grew up in and still feel strongly connected to never considered a man for the position of deacon who was single, because Paul says in 1 Timothy that a 'bishop' shall be the husband of one wife. A bachelor is not the husband of one wife, therefore - not a deacon. I cannot be a deacon in a Baptist church because I am divorced and have remarried. Therefore, I am not the 'husband of one wife.' [full disclosure - I was a deacon in a big Baptist church. Now I'm not. I didn't argue, nor should I have.] And this dude (dudette?) in the article thinks his/her/its local church should just 'overlook' his perversion? How about his/its lying and fraud?

The article's first sentence starts with: "A pastor in Canada was fired for "theological reasons, her church said, ...." Note: "Her church." Every article I've ever read about a transgender - without exception - uses the pronoun of the imagined (new) gender. It's probable that each such author is compelled to do so by the author's employer, or because the author is avoiding being destroyed by woke social media. I'm sick of it.

Read in my online hometown rag that PA now allows "Non Binary" as a choice on the driver's license. The Lord whispered to me yesterday morning, "I am coming soon."

First...why is a female in the position of Pastor? Yea...Yea... I know, the Apostle to the Gentiles (non Jews) was old fashion and stuff...but he speaks with the authority of Jesus Christ Himself.
Missouri Synod Lutheran here and this problem could only be a problem if one of our dude preachers showed up and tried to preach as a woman. He would not be allowed...because of being a woman and for other obvious reasons! The Bible is the Authoritative Word of God! Did the Trans woman preach The Gospel of Jesus Christ (Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and you shall see him in Heaven...wonderful news), or was the sermon about Liberal politics, leaving Jesus to the side? I'd love to read it!!!

#17, I am a Catholic and we don’t put much stock in the “End Times”. The book of Revelations is not included in our Bible. But I am beginning to believe that we are headed there if not there already.

Why would any congregation want a mentally ill pastor, regardless of his or her pronouns?
