“Goya (food products) CEO Robert Unanue, whose great grandfather founded the company as a Spanish immigrant in 1936, praised President Trump last Thursday at a White House event, saying the U.S. is “truly blessed” to have a leader like him….The comments immediately sparked a backlash among Latino leaders, (italics mine) including former Housing Secretary Julián Castro and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), who called for a boycott of the brand,” reports The Hill.Result?“Goya Foods is doing GREAT. The Radical Left smear machine backfired, people are buying like crazy!” (President Trump tweet, July 15). Indeed, some have rebranded the boycott as a BUY-cott.

I ordered $20 worth of Goya tomato sauce and yellow rice on Amazon as my grocer doesn't carry it.

It only took 2 weeks to become a dyed-in-the-wool Goya Foods fan, so I really enjoyed Humberto Fontova's take on the matter. But what I really would like from Humberto is his recipe for a genuine Medianoche sandwich.

In re #3, Saveur.com has a great recipe. Thinking about it an hour before dinner here is sheer torture. But, based on our previous attempts, a medianoche sandwich can be made and on the table in an hour. After you have gathered all of the ingredients, that is. Good luck and enjoy.

I bought a jar of Goya Pico de Gallo that I really didn't need. I don't really like that particular product much, but Goya offers many other things.

Here's a crunchy treat (i don't remember the source for this recipe): take a can of cannellini beans, drain, empty onto a towel or paper towels and pat them to dry. pour onto and spread out on a cookie sheet, drizzle oil, salt and pepper, toss around to coat, put in preheated 375 degree oven for about 20 minutes till crunchy! a treat and some good protein, to boot!
I also like Goya's green pimento-stuffed olives. a LOT. I bought these a month ago when i couldn't find my usual brand. I like to eat green olives with an egg salad sandwich.
#1 yeah!

The author has quotations from Che Guevara, a truly evil man, which the quotes show.
Che literally enjoyed executing prisoners himself, preferring to shoot them in the face from inches away with a large caliber handgun. He wrote of loving to kill them this way, literally blowing their brains out, up close and personal. A hideous, evil, hateful, vicious person.
Remember that the next time you see a T-shirt with his image.

Have been adding several cans/packages of Goya products to my week's purchase -- good stuff, and love to support their CEO.
Had Chik-fila sandwiches this eve (another good company) and will try that Cannellini crunchy recipe from #6 tomorrow. Yum!

Living in Texas, I have actually used some Goya products over the years, since we do a lot of Tex-Mex food down this way. Good stuff. I have loved their ham-seasoning in green beans as far back as I can remember.
However, since this lie-beral idiocy started, I have discovered what an amazing selection of food that they have. They have new fans in my family!!!! Definitely count us deplorables as regular customers from now on!!!

Just completed a food drive at church. Significant number of donated canned goods were Goya.
