Omaha, Neb.—Mutual of Omaha plans to replace its longtime corporate logo, which for 70 years has featured a depiction of a Native American chief, the insurance company announced Friday. The move comes as corporations and sports teams around the country face increasing pressure to dump nicknames and depictions that reference American Indians amid a nationwide movement calling for racial justice. “We believe the decision to retire our corporate symbol is the right thing to do and is consistent with our values and our desire to help overcome racial bias and stereotypes,” Mutual of Omaha CEO and Chairman James Blackledge said

Atheists cannot stand representational art unless it is of their own idols.
Muslims cannot stand any representational art at all.
Which way is this going as these two are wedded at the hip in both antifa and BLM.

When will it stop. In my state, Georgia, we have Cherokee County which has no Cherokees. President Andrew Jackson removed them all. What about all the states named for Injuns? The rivers? Google maps will have to be updated every 5 minutes.

The worst and most dangerous virus spreading through America now isn't COVID19, it's STUPID20. And unfortunately, there's never a vaccine for this. You just have to wait until peak herd stupidity is reached.

So well put, OP.
I was thinking a little on the same line: companies and teams have chosen representations of Indian Chiefs because there was a status, a symbol of bravery. one would never name something of value with something you thought demeaning or opprobrious.
And #1 makes the observation that we seem to have allowed our great Republic to be led around by the by children, unruly brats (putting it mildly).
So once the images and references and symbols are gone, they're gone. In a way, therefore, by erasing them from places of honor, they are throwing them into the dust bin of history. How smart it would have been had they taken the time to make a presentation to the country about the logo and its meaning and value.

The racist Marxist Left is having great success "cancelling" all positive images of American Indians from American culture. I guess red isn't considered dark enough to be included in the new definition for "people of color" as Black Lives Matter views their membership.
We just finished the last stick of butter from a Land O Lakes box proudly adorned by a pretty Indian maiden. I'm keeping it for posterity. I wrote a note of why this box is important and put it inside. I hope someday a future Mike and Frank will find it among the effects of one of my grandsons. I feel a keen need to save things that represent America; mementos of life before lockdown.

Really dopey. Now what about the Indian Head pennies, and the Buffalo Nickels that are lurking in coin collections throughout the land? Will there be raids to seize them and melt them down?

In another generation, no one will even know what an American Indian is. They will have been removed from American culture.

I could be offended by all those streets and avenues named after Martin Luther King. They all aren't in the nicest parts of town, but I'm white and he didn't do anything for me, so why does he get a street named after him? I want those signs removed. NOW. I can play their game.

#3, a fellow Georgian, is correct and almost every river in the state has an Indian name....Chattahootchee, Oconee, Okmulgee, Talapoosa, etc, etc. plus the towns...Cohutta, Dahlonega, etc. the list is almost endless. That’s just Georgia......might as well rename Cochise County In Arizona and a thousand others.
It’s past time to tell these woketards to go to hell.

The logo was chosen to honor the the local Indians' strong, honest, and community-minded values, which the company hoped to emulate. However, anything but victimhood is offensive to the Marxists who dominate Fundamentally Transformed America, so onto the trash heap it goes.
