Defense Secretary Mark T. Esper on Friday announced a new Pentagon policy that effectively prohibits the display of the Confederate flag at military facilities, but he stopped short of mentioning the specific symbol. In a memo, the Pentagon chief unveiled new guidance authorizing the display of specific flags, including the American flag, flags of the U.S. states, territories and the District of Columbia, military flags, POW/MIA flags, and allied flags, and prohibits the use of “unauthorized flags.” The Confederate flag is not included in the list of authorized flags.
“The flags we fly must accord with the military imperatives of good order

Even Obama's SecDef didn't do this, but I'm wondering who's flying all these Confederate flags? Sounds like an invitation to get a sock party or worse.

Statement should say NO FLAG other than those on the LIST should fly at the Pentagon! That means NO Rainbow or any of the other LGBTQ Flags allowed!!

The same rule should apply to all U.S. diplomatic posts and all other federal office buildings. No rainbow, BLM, MLK, Mexican or any other flags and banners. Just the stars and stripes and service branch insignias and colors on military bases as authorized by the base commander.

Let's go all the way back and become a colony of the British, shall we? The entire history can be wiped out in one fell swoop.

Esper is not someone who should be in that position.

The Confederate flag is not an official flag of the United States of America.
In fact, even during the Civil War, no country officially recognized the Confederacy.
The only group who was willing to recognize the Confederacy was the Democrat party in their 1864 campaign against Lincoln. They were willing to end the war, and let the South secede. This would have also kept slavery in place, and cancel the Emancipation Proclamation for those in the South too.
Just think of that for a few moments.
After the South agreed to Grant's terms of surrender, and they were welcomed back into the United States of America.
The Confederate flag was hijacked by the White Supremacy groups and turned into a hate symbol.
It has no place in military properties, or any official government building.

Thank RINO Nikki Haley for getting the ball rolling on all this by taking down the Confederate Flag from the South Carolina state capital - the first state to secede (which is kinda historically important).

# 4, I'm just reading 1984 again after many years. "Memory Hole" comes to mind. Let's just put all of our history down the Memory Hole and get it over with. Re-purpose auto crushers and industrial shredders to handle monuments. Blow up Mount Rushmore. Turn Fort Sumter into an amusement park. We're getting close to having Newspeak already. We need a new Cabinet level department to handle all of this. Yes, of course: The Ministry (Department) of Truth. Who is John Galt?

I recommend flying the Bonnie Blue or the Stars and Bars. Most people are mistaken about the Stars and Bars. Go look it up before you start screeching

If I EVER see the "rainbow flag" or any other "celebrate prevision" flags on display at any military instillation I visit, I will make sure it comes down and ends up in the trash where it belongs.

The Confederate battle flag still flies in the Submarine School enlisted barracks in New London (in a 1951 photo among my ancient things), It had been mailed to by a friend and was a topic of conversation...as was the somewhat strange leather strap-and-small-leather-packets thingamajig that my black friend in the next bunk donned before going to sleep each night. He said he was Jewish.

As a veteran, I thought I contributed to the freedom of out citizens to speak their choice of words, and the freedom to fly their flag of choice. But, I also think that the only flag that should fly on a military base is exclusively the stars and stripes and appropriate military flags or the specific service or that of flag officers.

The only flag that should fly at any military facility or embassy should be the American flag and certainly not a rainbow flag.
The war that never ends. Southerners only view the Confederate Flag as history. We don't hate Union soldiers. Let it go.

We can't win a war, but we can embrace cultural Marxism like no other. I bet the Homosexual rainbow is allowed to fly loud and proud. They'll say it's not a flag but rather a symbol of identity, the same way the battle flag represented proud fighting men of the South, a region that provides the bulk of our military.
