African-American museum removes
controversial chart linking 'whiteness'
to self-reliance, decision-making

The National Museum for African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) has removed its controversial chart on whiteness from one of its webpages, telling people on Thursday that it didn't contribute to a "productive conversation" about racial issues. "Since yesterday, certain content in the 'Talking About Race' portal has been the subject of questions that we have taken seriously. We have listened to public sentiment and have removed a chart that does not contribute to the productive discussion we had intended," the museum said in a statement. Fox News reported yesterday that some described the chart as racist since it categorized things like "decision-making" and "delayed gratification" as part of whiteness.

But even if they do withdraw the chart that lists all the NEGATIVE characteristics of WHITENESS, we still need to see the chart that lists all the POSITIVE characteristics of BLACKNESS, don’t we? I mean it’s only fair. Hey, I know Sam Dorman! I’m going to call him.

Help me out here...do black people not get it yet? What is the obvious inference of that incredibly racist chart? Answer: the leftists/Democrats believe that the main characteristics of blackness are the exact opposite of what was on that chart. THAT is what the Democrat Party thinks of you and your culture. Remember that on November 3.

Amazing what one segment on the Rush Limbaugh Show will do! Now what about the Smithsonian that apparently is still propagating this crap? The real problem is that they can pull the segment off the website, but the attitude prevails and if I had to make a bet is probably being taught to our children at college orientations about white privilege. Heck, there's probably a semester class teaching that garbage.

My planned contact with The National Museum for African American History and Culture is destined to be limited to driving past it with a glance in that direction. Not a very attractive building, but I am sure it was architecturally designed to be purposefully "different"--meaning it doesn't seem to fit in with all of the surrounding structures.

I've posted this before. White privilege is when you are born you get an education, next you work as a youth at menial jobs to gain skill and dexterity at the job. You aspire to have a family raise that family and live in a home that you and your family choose while working, desiring a good life for as long as you live. Is this wrong? Blacks should try this and get some 'black privilege'. The problem is blacks hold each other down. If a black gets an education raises a family and works he's branded as an Uncle Tom sellout or a house ni**er to the white man. Stepping away from your own race might get you killed. Blacks don't respect one another they don't and won't fit into society by their own choosing they only live in a constant state of grievances and gripes they create their own mess. Blacks praise Mother Africa and call themselves African American when if you spin a globe on the teacher's desk they couldn't find the 'black continent'. A National Black Museum a black would loot and burn that too if they desire because they have no pride in anything. Give me a break this is a tiring subject.

Yes, we are to work diligently etc. but we are to be following in His ways and not the earthly ways. In reading the Bible, it applies to all people. Well, it’s just a matter of time until someone turns the tables on this info graphic of their own with the caption: “The ways black people and their traditions, attitudes and ways of life have normalized over time and are now considered standard practices in the United States.” Where to begin with the generalizations? High illegitimacy rates; criminal recidivism; drug addiction; anti-intellectualism; misogyny; disregard of rules and laws; instant gratification; impulsive actions/reactions; entitlement mentality; lack of shame; irrationality; lack of responsibility; unhealthy diet/obesity; etc, etc, etc. Of course not every black person shares these traits. At the same time, anyone regardless of skin color can be either guilty of the above or share the traits listed attributed to ‘white people’, according to Judith Katz (the author of the original graphic). That’s the danger of labeling an entire group, without considering the individual. One, it’s inaccurate. Two, it’s dangerously divisive and tribal. Three, it will ultimately dehumanize your perceived opponent and then you’ve become the very thing you’re railing against. Above all else, remember our humanity. That should be the common denominator that unites us, rather than seeking the differences that divide us.

It is important to note that all of the virtues being labeled as "white" are virtues that will help anybody to succeed and prosper in life. Unfortunately, there is a self destructive belief that doing anything that might be considered "white" is the worst thing a "black" person can do. Saying a black person is "acting white" is a condemnation in many circles. By shunning doing what will help them succeed and prosper, blacks can be their own worst enemy. Hopefully, the NMAAHC is removing the chart because the truth is that good ideas do not have a color.

Seven people, all from different households, not only gathered for Thanksgiving but distributed to the media pictorial evidence of them flouting mask mandates and social distancing edicts. No governor yet claims jurisdiction over the International Space Station but the astronauts have a lot of explaining to do when they return to earth. It’s not as though they lacked for space. Governors ordering around people 250 miles above their states seems far-fetched. But so, too, did the notion of governors usurping the role of legislatures. Eight months after the initial coronavirus lockdowns, citizens docilely accept the idea of a single person dictating the laws that govern millions of people.

The practice of democracy in our constitutional republic flourishes in the presence of contradictions. Democracy, itself, is bound by our inalienable rights, bestowed to us by our Creator. These rights, not given to us by our government by any majority or by any vote, cannot be rescinded, for they were not wrought by man. Voting is a contradiction for it is both public and private at the same time. Its process is intended to be secret, but transparent. Its agency is intensely partisan, but its effect is intended to be unifying. The legitimacy of voting must survive despite the contradictions intrinsic to the process.

Will Judge Emmett Sullivan accept President Trump’s pardon of General Michael Flynn? No one has suggested that possibility, other than The New York Sun. The general’s case, though, has become a bonfire of the vanities of one district judge who has denied the presumption of regularity to an official act of the United States government — meaning Attorney General William Barr’s attempt to drop the case. So why would Judge Sullivan credit President Trump’s workaround of a pardon? We understand, the pardon could be the least fettered of all the powers that the Constitution grants to the president.

Many conservatives have moved their social-media accounts to the more freewheeling Parler, and often have slammed the supposedly monopolistic Facebook and Twitter as they’ve decamped from those sites. I have chuckled at some of their overheated parting rhetoric — especially the widespread misunderstanding about the meaning of the word “monopoly.” A monopoly is, as the Oxford dictionary explains, “the exclusive possession or control of the supply of or trade in a commodity or service.” Quite obviously, if one stops doing business with a company and heads over to its competitor, then the previous company is not by definition in exclusive possession or control of a service.

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says.
