The St. Louis couple who pointed guns at Black Lives Matters protesters last month say they believe they acted within their rights to protect their home as Missouri’s Governor announces President Donald Trump will get involved in the case. Mark and Patricia McCloskey are under investigation for brandishing an AR-15 and a handgun at protesters in front of their mansion on June 28, claiming they feared for their lives. St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner, the prosecutor investigating the couple, says Gov. Mike Parson and Trump 'came after her' and are intimidating her for reviewing the case.On Tuesday the Republican governor defended the McCloskeys saying the couple had 'every right

President DJT has an appreciation of this home’s historic value. He’s not going to allow it to be burned down.

St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner isn't at all concerned that the "peaceful protestors" she is so mindful of had to break down an iron gate in order to trespass upon private property, then gather en masse to intimidate random homeowners. Her judgement is WARPED and she should be loudly fired for dereliction of duty. Marching on a public street is NOT the same as trespassing on private property.

When you are protecting yourself and personal property you are not “brandishing” anything. You are showing force with a firearm to back it

The "Protesters" were threatening the couple, so they CAN'T defend themselves?
Pointing a gun is a relative term, if someone is threatening you it is appropriate to respond IN KIND!

Trump should stay out of this.
The McCloskeys are lifelong Democrats and high-priced lawyers. Let them protect their 2A and “stand your ground” rights.

The Missouri Governor is a coward. He said and did nothing until Thump got involved. The Governor "hid behind the skirt" before he acted like a tough guy. Typical of the majority of the Republican leaders.

I’ve heard that is not true, #6. Can you source it? And, if they are Democrats, it’s still wrong about what has happened to them.

I just re-read the Constitution - -
It says the Second Amendment does not apply - - if the prosecutor is a far-left, Soros-funded black woman. So - - I guess the McLoskeys are out of luck.

IMO,that DA is a moron. Even an affirmative action law school admittee should know that the right to protest does not include the right to trespass on private property.

Remmeber Ferguson? Remember Baltimore? Remember Obambi's Dept of Just-Us finding racism invoving every cop in those forces? Remember the costly wasteful 'remedies' the Dept of Just-Us put on those PD? So too can Trump unleash the full might and unlimited budget of the Dept of Juctise on the AGs little fiefdom. Imagine the 'violations' they can find and the misery they can inflicted on this dutiful little Soros stooge. Trump can get involved and so to the Dept of Justice. The precedent was set by DaWon years ago.

FWIW, Sean said last night that his source on the ground told him the private security (the dozen or so guys in black that showed up on ensuing nights when the threat was still high) was arranged by Trump.

The majority of Americans obviously agree with the President. The McCloskeys acted within the law and with incredible restraint. He should be commended and his weapons should be returned immediately. If I had watched a tribe of Zulus approach my home, I would have emptied every magazine I had and then pulled out the Samurai sword.

Gardner went after the McCloskey's, threatened and tried to intimidate them, seized their private property, issued a search warrant without predicate. Now she has the Trump after her. I hope Trump gives her the whipping she deserves.

I support the couple, however they really need firearms training! NEVER point a gun at anything unless you are ready to destroy it! The AR15 should have been displayed barrel pointed at the ground! But, small details! I will stand in front of my home hunting knives in hand...having lost all my guns in the boating accident!

I keep on expecting some neighborhood is going to open up on these 'peaceful protestors' and kill a bunch of them. The police who wee told to stand down the night before are going to come around and be warned off by an armed community that doesn't need or want their useless butts anymore.
Wonder how THAT will play out?

"Came after her for doing her job." What does that even mean? It is she, not PT, who has politicized this incident. She's made outrageous statements not squaring with the facts. She's disarmed a target of the mob.
No, she's come after the homeowners. Pursue the case, and she should worry about the DOJ conducting a civil rights investigation. We're here because the first city facing riots didn't deal with it effectively. Before this lawfare gets out of hand, it's time to squash it.

POTUS ought to stay out of it. Let the Attorney General take the case, examine it.
Then, have a press conference at which the AG gives a little lecture to the Citizenry, too much of which doesn't have a doggone clue about what "the paper" as BO called our Constitution, means.
I want POTUS to have weekly covid updates (daily one not needed) at which the LIES from the media and anti-Trump docs and "experts" are exposed and debunked, such as the phony covid test result numbers in FL. Let the docs/scientists/researchers report.
They need to review with charts and graphs from the first days to now; and photographs of the military medical ships and hospitals built, what he and the administration did while the Dems were fiddling away their monotonous atonal impeachment ditty. In this way, people who live in the clouds of forgetfulness will get a nice review of how far we've come, and how they should be hopeful and not so DANGED afraid.
I've been hearing (nauseating) that Biden is soooo compassionate, the "he feels our pain" crap.
There is no clarity out there. Most people are NOT watching Fox where most of Trump's press events are shown live. People are getting incorrect, false, misleading "information", outright lies, from totally biased story-tellers. The people i know who watch those outlets are so ignorant.
