After President Donald Trump commuted the sentence of former adviser Roger Stone, Democrats went apoplectic.
On Saturday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said she would support a bill that would limit a president’s pardoning abilities. Stone had been sentenced to three years in prison for witness tampering and lying to Congress. He was also arrested in an infamous early morning bust with multiple armed police raiding the 67-year-old’s home as CNN filmed.

Since when does one branch get to limit the constitutional powers of another branch? No doubt little Miss Nancy would like to limit all of the President's powers by forcing him to say "Mother may I?" before taking any action whatsoever.

President Trump exercised a constitutional power that the Congress can’t change without amending the US Constitution, forget about it! The only reason that Pelosi said that is that she was talking to her low information identity based constituency groups who don’t know any better. In reality
Trump did not pardon Stone, he only granted Stone clemency as far as his prison term goes, at a time that the Democrats are releasing tens of thousands of hardened criminals from jails and prison using the COVID pandemic as an excuse. Stone is a harmless old man, who was convicted of process crimes that Democrats are rarely convicted for or are sent to prison. Apparently Stone has medical conditions that put Stone in a high risk situation, if he were to contract COVID in prison he could easily die. Obviously the Democrats could care less. Stone’s convictions stand, and it is up to him to remedy that situation through the Appeals Court.

As someone on Twitter pointed out, Pelosi has kept the House out of session for reasons having nothing to do with the virus despite her claims. The House is not meeting yet Pelosi continues to have pressers as if it is. Why? She really does think she's a shadow president.
She then cooked up a typically bizarre - and patently unconstitutional - proxy voting system with her as the only real proxy since the Dems control the House (suburban Karens you created a mess in 2018).
Now she wants a typically bizarre - and patently unconstitutional - assault on separation of powers.
But pie-in-the-sky is nothing new for Pelosi who regularly blurts out nonsense that doesn't pass the laugh test. She is annoying in the extreme but also good comedy value with her utterly fake sanctimony and attempts at humor.

Babbling Botox Barbie is at it again. I think that Trump should sign an executive order banning impeachment by dems. See how easy it is to make meaningless imperial decrees?
Fortunately such choices are ultimately in the hands of the states via their legislatures, which better represent We the People, instead of the Washington cesspool crowd.

Maybe someone on Nancy's staff could introduce her to Schoolhouse Rock's, "How a Bill Becomes a Law". She may have missed a key point introduced about two minutes into the video.
"Well, then I'm off to the White House
Where I'll wait in a line
With a lot of other bills
For the president to sign
And if he signs me, then I'll be a law.
How I hope and pray that he will,
But today I am still just a bill."

I rather look forward to her introducing this legislation, and watching it Peter out, as legal experts explain that she is a constitutional moron.

Democrats have been successful nullifying the 2nd amendment. Whats to shay they can't nullify constitutional executive powers? All they need is 4 solid leftist SCOTUS Just-Us judges and Roberts.

Constitution: Article II. Section 2. The President ... shall have the power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States except in Cases of Impeachment." The president can't pardon anyone impeached, himself or any other government official. Congress has no power to alter the constitutional power granted the Executive. Another BS grandstanding play by 60's retread Pelosi.

She should propose a bill that bans anyone from holding office who belongs to an organization that, at any time in the psat, supported slavery.

That frontal lobotomy may have reached in just a little too deep.
She need not concern herself with limiting the power of the next president who meets her approval because they aren't at all constrained by such trifling matters as constitutional and legal limitations on power.

I know there is a blood/brain barrier. But there doesn't appear to be a botox/brain barrier! Go for it Nancy! John Roberts is in your back pocket after all... Although...Trump will have won and appointed at least 2 new SCOTUS members by the time this gets to the Supreme Ct. Awesome!

Careful, Nanie. What goes around, comes around. Some day soon, you may need a pardon. Don't want President Trump to be in a bad mood during his second term comes your turn for a pardon, now do you?

This will hurt the democrats far more than the republicans if this were to become law because they have actual criminals lined up to go to prison someday. Donald Trump only pardons the innocent victims of Leftist crime.

Clinton pardoned a man that was on the FBI top ten most wanted list because his wife gave a big contribution to the Clinton library. The Clinton's are the most bribe-able politicians ever.

President Trump should sign an EO limiting house democrats to only two terms and no democrate can serve over one term as speaker of the house. It's easy, ask the Kenyan. All it takes is a pen and a phone.

Her statement shows the low level of intelligence your dealing with. Pardon power is granted in The Constitution. Therefore it would take an Amendment to The Constitution to change it.

She just doesn't get it does she? Not her business to limit the Executive branch. More and more I am thinking that she was treated by Obama as co-president during his 8 years. She doesn't want to give that up, and she has been fighting Trump ever since he took office.

Too many shots of botulism toxin to the face. This is a power directly granted by the Constitution, and cannot be affected in any way by some idiotic moves by Congress.
The only way this could be changed would be via a Constitutional Amendment - which is not going to happen, to a 99.999% certainty.
Nutty, nasty Nan - spinning her demented tales again.

Someone needs to add up all the tax dollars that this hag has wasted allowing legislation to be passed by the House that never had a bat's chance in Hell of ever passing the Senate (and certainly would never have survived a presidential veto) and becoming the law of this land.
It has to be in the billions of tax dollars she has wasted just to appease her brain dead base voters!!! This is not "leadership" -- it is just pure evil!!!!!
