Wells Fargo donates $400M to assist
struggling minority businesses

To help small businesses survive the pandemic, Wells Fargo announced Thursday that it is donating the $400 million in fees it earned off the federal Paycheck Protection Program to nonprofit organizations that primarily assist Black and other minority owners. Wells Fargo, which lost many business customers after bungling their PPP applications, wound up processing more than 185,000 PPP loans worth a total of $10.4 billion, the fifth highest loan total in the banking industry, according to the U.S. Small Business Administration. “We can see that small businesses are hurting,” said Jenny Flores, head of small business growth philanthropy at Wells Fargo.

Banker Jenny makes it rain in The Community, and perhaps in La Communidad as well. Flamboyantly and unapologetically racist on its face and should be illegal, except that systemic structural bias against WHITE people (or must we now call them "wipipo," the way the bLACK People do?) is the very definition of USA 2020. Meanwhile, the next time these crooks suffer a drop in earnings through their own stupidity, the taxpayers will cheerfully bail them out without even the customary dinner and a movie beforehand or a cigarette afterward.

Meanwhile, Wells Fargo is planning on laying off thousands of employees. This should leave a bad taste in a lot of mouths.

That amount of money going to nonprofit organizations. I have news for Wells Fargo, the money will never get there. Like most non profits the money is stolen from within. High salaries, vacations, benefits and donations to the democratic communist party. Small businesses will never see a dime of it. Got it.

"Unapologetically racist on its face" is exactly right. So are all the news coverage and PSAs being broadcast to support black-owned businesses. I was thinking of opening an account with WF due to our move...not going to happen.

Watch closely. That is how money laundering is done. The desiccated Pelosi may have invented the process back when she walked the earth in other centuries. You give a pile of cash to some ''much deserved'' cause. Then run to the back dock quickly to get the donations handed back to you in unmarked bills. Since time immemorial.

Post just above this post states Wells Fargo is laying off people. I'm sure that 400 mil could be put to better use by keeping those laid off employed.

I am under the impression that WF hires minorities, lends to minorities and helps minorities. They already had a big scandal, seems like they would remain under the radar. Remember when minorities lost their WF creative financed homes to foreclosure?

Members of the military, uniformed and civilian, are strictly prohibited from engaging in overt political activities. Those rules exist to keep them focused on their mission—defending the nation. But apparently, someone in the US Army’s Equity and Inclusion Agency has forgotten the rules. With a course titled “Operation Inclusion,” the agency is promoting the line that if you support enforcing immigration law, or say things like “all lives matter,” then you’re a white supremacist. GOP Rep. Mo Brooks blew the lid when he learned the agency had organized two seminars to re-educate all of the uniformed and civilian personnel at Redstone Arsenal

Fifteen female former Redskins employees are accusing the organization of sexual harassment and fostering a toxic culture of abuse, according to an explosive report by the Washington Post. The women say they were subject to unwelcome comments and sexual advances, and encouraged to dress provocatively and flirt with sales clients. Of the five male employees at the center of the accusations, three left the organization in the last week as The Post presented findings to the team and asked for response. Team owner Daniel Snyder is not accused of sexual harassment, but members of his inner circle are, and he was blamed for supplying

China is engaged in an “economic blitzkrieg” aimed at replacing America as the world’s leading power, Attorney General William P. Barr said Thursday, asserting that the U.S. and Beijing are locked in an ideological battle that will determine whether the current democratic, free market system is replaced by China’s dictatorial, communist system. In a major speech in Michigan, Mr. Barr charged that a slate of major American businesses are being duped as they appease China’s communist rulers in a bid to gain market access and favorable trade status with Beijing, which seeks ultimately to dominate the global market. “The [Chinese Communist Party] rules with an

Former National Security Advisor Susan Rice, who "unmasked" officials in the Trump campaign during the 2016 election, said Tuesday that President Trump is wrong when he accuses the Obama administration of spying on his campaign in 2016. "Absolutely no, it did not happen. That is false. That is another lie designed to deflect from the president's own very bizarre relationship with Russia; to distract from the much validated reality that Russia interfered in the 2016 election to benefit Donald Trump," Rice said during a discussion with Washington Post Live.

The plan, proposed by the mayor and approved in a virtual city council meeting early Wednesday morning, is just one part of a major "defund the police" overhaul planned by the city, Fox News reported. The move to separate traffic enforcement from police work is believed to be the first of its kind in the U.S, according to the report. Instead of having trained officers conducting traffic stops, the new policy will send in unarmed civilian city workers to deal with traffic offenders.

Rosen concluded saying the message of “Lean on Me” can be a foundation for a “decent” society. “If the point of a national anthem is to provide a mnemonic, a reminder in music and words of the ideas and values that this place is supposed to stand for, you could do worse than ‘Lean on Me,’” Rosen wrote.

The National Football League celebrated its 100th anniversary last year. This should be a time of self-congratulation for the brutal sport, which has no similar counterpart outside the United States. The NFL's megaprofits dwarf those of other professional sports in the U.S. The Super Bowl, not the World Series, is America's national sports event. The league has survived all sorts of crises in the past. It was one of the first professional sports to integrate its teams, doing so in the 1920s. But the integration unfortunately ceased, and the NFL didn't reintegrate until the mid-'40s, becoming one of the last sports leagues to embrace fully a racially-blind meritocracy.
