Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell broke with the White House on Thursday and said the coronavirus pandemic may scuttle plans for the Republican National Convention. “We will have to wait and see how things look in late August to determine whether or not we can safely convene that many people,” McConnell said in his home state of Kentucky. The Republican leader did not directly answer whether he’s willing to skip the Jacksonville, Fla., gathering along with a handful of other GOP senators.“I think the convention is a challenging situation

The President's poll numbers appear to drop, and Mitch McConnell bends to leftist narratives as expected.

We have three deadly enemies: congress, the media and the democrat party. The three need to be eliminated.

Poster 3 I said essentially the same thing yesterday on this site and was called a nut.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
So..... posters on this site don't think calling out and shaming democrats publically is nice. Let's keep singing kumbaya and playing patty cake with them then and see just how much longer the republic lasts.

Polls Schmolls...Heavily laden with Democraps. Have any of you Republicans/Conservatives EVER gotten a Poll call? If so, did you hang up like I did. The Polls are crap and it's amazing the Democraps still think it's their savior...Hey STUPIDS, it causes your DimWit Voters to not go to vote because 'it's in the bag'!

I feel like McConnell is just playing his own game in DC. He wants to go down with a record number of appointed judges, other than that I don't think he cares for Trump at all. Like most of the Republicans there I think he was happier with a loser McCain or Romney than the winner Trump. It is clear they really have no principles other than taking care of themselves.

Would not bother me a bit if the conventions were done away with. Everything has already been decided. The nominees and the VP's. After that it is just another CPAC.

McConnell doesn't surprise me for a second. When in doubt, follow Democratic lead.
The Democrats are tyrants.
The Republicans are backstabbers.
Great choice come November.
Except for Trump who is neither.
That's why they hate him so much.
By the time late August rolls around, our media will be wailing that Florida is worse than New York, and the Republicans will collapse like a tent in a storm.
Can't help but think, wheels and gears have been turning since March when they rolled out CV19. Add in the race riots. We have travel restrictions. We have a movement to replace the police. What else are they planning?

FTA: Republican Sens. Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, Susan Collins of Maine, Chuck Grassley of Iowa, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Mitt Romney of Utah say they don’t plan to attend the convention.' That's reason enough right there to be sure to hold it. Throw in Midge and it's even better.

All these clowns assume Biden is going to win based on the BS poll numbers. Latest idiot view is the Supreme Court is assuming Biden wins.

Come on and hold it at my house. More than 600 might make the social distancing a bit difficult but social distancing only matters if you're afraid enough of getting sick to NOT VOTE. It would be the EXTREME of disrespect for those who have died in service to this country to hide in my home when it is time for me to get out and vote.

People keep thinking McConnell et al are "clueless", "afraid" "stymied" etc. I think McConnell is just flat out cold hearted, mean, and uncaring. He has what he wants. Now the rest of us can go to hades. He is unmoving and unresponsive to the calls of Americans who want genuine leadership. He only holds the line long enough to make due and to give the appearance of doing his job. The rest of the time, though, he has all the warmth and consideration of Jadis (Narnia reference). He, and Graham, and Grassley, and all the other so-called "conservatives" in Congress know EXACTLY what theyre doing, and they are supreme in their confidence that they will never ever have to suffer the consequences that the ordinary American has to face day to day, becaue theyve covered THEIR rear-ends and that's all that matters.
I really we've given them too much the benefit of doubt. They havent changed their stripes, they DONT care about America or the US Constitution, and they will NEVER defend us from the raving Marxists waging a Cold War against us because they got theirs, and that's all that matters to them.
A pox on you, McConnell. You could have been great.

How surprising is this? The great GOP/UNIPARTY backturning may now be underway...slowly but surely...damn with faint praise or lukewarm platitudes...cancel or avoid events...whatever can be done to signal meh. Keep an eye on Mitt if the numbers drop into the 30s...and they're working on it.
Congress, the media and the Democrats? Try the UNIPARTY.

Hey, Mitch, help the GOP find a way to have its convention.
Let the old politicians stay home.
Let the new, younger people celebrate the convention.
Oh,yes, there has to be a way to keep any protesters far, far away.

Biden will not be the nominee. Hillary will be. That has been the plan all along. She'll be nominate at the 11th Hour and the Swamp Media will be fine with it, stating Biden's mental health as the reason. Once again, Hillary will be the nominee without having to debate, campaign or do any of the heavy lifting. It will also preclude her being indicted, if in fact that is her destiny. Trump has the entire DC Swamp against him.

Mitch seems to be good for one thing....getting Trump judges passed. Beyond that, much of what he does is harmful.
Having a wife who is the daughter of a ChiCom Army general should disqualify him from ANY public position of power.
