The Grim Lessons of CHOP

Original Article

Early this morning, Seattle police began dismantling the barricades, tents, and signs that demonstrators had used to control several city blocks for most of the last month. The area was originally known as the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ), but had recently been renamed, for reasons nobody could quite explain, the Capitol Hill Organized Protest (or Occupied Protest), producing the ominous acronym CHOP—as in what happened to dissenters during the French Revolution. In recent weeks, the area had begun to acquire a correspondingly evil reputation, particularly after nightfall. This reached a breaking point about a week ago with two shootings in 48 hours. They changed the name from CHAZ to CHOP because they didn't want to be, nor were/are they, autonomous. They are funded and do want money and help from their progressive buddies in government and elsewhere. The term "autonomous" presented a problem. The amazing thing is that they actually recognized this.

Mayor Jenny's failed Antifa-Commie Summer Project, set up to bait the President into sending in federal troops. When the President refused the bait, the bait went rancid, and her summer project is a huge failure.

Like most social experiments, things begin to unravel right from the beginning. It's an experiment and the objective is to observe, not guarantee a final result. See the Obama Administration for a larger sample of chaos and incompetence. See Zimbabwe for the very same reasons.

I'm of the belief that mayor Jenny and the Portland mayor planned and condoned the zones like CHOP to bait President Trump into federal action. The summer camp failed when the President didn't act and injury and death occurred. President Trump was going to be called a tyrant and dictator but he didn't take the bait smart move Mr. President.

Nearly a year after Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in a Manhattan jail of a supposed suicide, the most wanted woman in the world was finally caught by the FBI. After a year of speculating whether she was taking advantage of extradition laws in Paris or smuggling In-N-Out burgers in Los Angeles, Ghislaine Maxwell was found hiding out on a 156-acre compound, which she had purchased with cash in the tiny town of Bradford, New Hampshire. Epstein's henchwoman has been charged with conspiracy to entice minors to engage in illegal sex acts, conspiracy to transport minors to engage in illegal sex acts, transportation

"Lift Ev'ry Voice And Sing," traditionally known as the Black national anthem, is expected to be performed live or played before every Week 1 NFL game, and the league is considering a variety of other measures during the upcoming season to recognize victims of police brutality, a source familiar with the league's discussions told The Undefeated on Thursday. The song would be performed before "The Star-Spangled Banner," the source said. The NFL's season opener is scheduled for Sept. 10, with the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Houston Texans.

Public opinion polls appear to portend a Biden victory in November, but the former Vice President will almost certainly succumb to the same affliction that brought about Hillary Clinton’s electoral demise — anemic enthusiasm among minorities. No Democrat can win without the robust backing of this bloc of voters, and Biden’s dubious record on racially sensitive issues combined with more recent blunders, has rendered this support noticeably tepid. He also lacks the support of influential black leaders like civil rights lawyer Leo Terrell, who took to Twitter on Tuesday to write: “If the presidential election was held today, I would vote for #DonaldTrump.”

With coronavirus cases surging in the United States, the media were quick to blame: “Several Republican-led states that moved quickly to reopen this spring at the urging of President Trump have seen new cases explode,” The New York Times reported. Yet hyper-Democratic California is actually seeing the highest number of new cases. Yes, GOP-led Arizona, Florida, Georgia and Texas are also seeing issues. But the red-v.-blue template doesn’t fit reality. Last week, the United States saw a single-day record of more than 52,000 new COVID-19 cases.

In New York City, shootings have skyrocketed over the past few weeks to levels not seen since what we refer to as “the bad old days.” Teenagers are being senselessly killed in our streets. What is the Democratic Party’s answer to this? They are stripping a billion dollars from the $6 billion budget of the New York Police Department in a display of virtue signaling that will lead to bullet holes in black and brown bodies. As Democrats across the country plot to defund the police and tear down statues of great Americans, as they cower to mobs that set up “autonomous zones” where people are raped and murdered,

On Wednesday, the Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) released a powerful new ad warning about vandals and rioters destroying a key monument in American culture — the presidents on Mount Rushmore. While the vandals are not likely to actually deface Mount Rushmore anytime soon, their iconoclastic movement has already targeted each of the four presidents on the monument — George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt. The ad, “Erasing History,” shows the presidents on Mount Rushmore disappearing, one by one, as vandals tarnish monuments to each of those presidents, and as “America the Beautiful” plays somberly in the background. The ad appears to be a tribute

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) on Wednesday blamed Russia’s annexation of Crimea on Republicans, though the invasion took place on President Barack Obama's watch. Pelosi slammed President Donald Trump and Republicans for their alleged inability to face Russian aggression—and tied them to President Barack Obama’s appeasement of Moscow. "You just described, not only for the president, but the Republicans in Congress, dereliction of duty," Pelosi told MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace. "Undermining our own elections, undermining our commitment to NATO, giving away the store, the base, in Syria. The list goes on and on. Question for America: In a country where a white cop feels empowered to press his knee into a Black man’s neck for nearly eight minutes while he is handcuffed and pleading, “I can’t breathe,” why should I celebrate the Fourth of July? When I’ve spent the last six months watching a disease that doesn’t discriminate on its own, kill and infect Black people in America at an alarmingly disproportionate rate, why should I celebrate the Fourth of July? And when history tells me in weathered documents, like the Declaration of Independence we commemorate this weekend, that the nation’s founding fathers were a collection of noble hypocrites

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) has issued new restrictions limiting the reopening of the economy in nearly 20 counties across the Golden State. One of the more controversial measures introduced Thursday will ban singing and chanting at houses of worships, which are already restricted to allowing 25% of guests or just 100 worshippers (whichever is lower). The Sacramento Bee reported that in late May, Newsom simply encouraged houses of worship to “strongly consider discontinuing singing, group recitation, and other practices and performances.” The outlet also reported that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warned that singing and shouting “can spread the coronavirus just as easily as coughing or sneezing."
