The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday struck down a Louisiana law regulating abortion clinics, reasserting a commitment to abortion rights over fierce opposition from dissenting conservative justices in the first big abortion case of the Trump era. Chief Justice John Roberts joined with his four more liberal colleagues in ruling that the law requiring doctors who perform abortions have admitting privileges at nearby hospitals violates the abortion right the court first announced in the landmark Roe v. Wade decision in 1973. In two previous abortion cases, Roberts had favored restrictions. The Louisiana law is virtually identical to one in Texas that the court struck down in 2016.

And guess who sided with the Commucrats....again. RBG needs to get lost so we can get an actual American in there to balance out the damage that Bush did.

Roberts is going to help Trump get reelected. It's obvious we do not have a conservative majority on the SCOTUS yet.

Decisions accepted from the Supreme Court should require super-majority, not a swing voter.

Lots of rumors out there about Justice Roberts become “compromised” and now votes with the liberalS. I hope the truth comes out some day.

John Solomon, Sarah Carter, investigative reporters on the right with curiosity...Find out what the left has on him and expose it! He's either been blackmailed or he's switched sides for people pleasing. I'm guessing it's both but more the first. This is a travesty of justice--literally--that an "originalist" has been converted to a relativist. Somebody is pulling the strings of this Pinocchio!

As dehumanizing as abortion is, the consequences for our society are incredibly negative when unwed mothers produce ever more illegitimate children. Why we want 15 to 25 year old females having babies out of wedlock when every study for 60 years shows that this only means poverty and crime, is baffling. So, since the girls and women having abortions are either too dumb or too lazy to practice birth control, make abortions easily accessible. Our country cannot afford more illegitimate children who eventually produce the crimes we are witnessing today.

Think of the logic in what you're saying, #14. The easier our culture of death has made it to snuff out life in utero, the more potential "unwed mothers" we've produced. Maybe we should try celebrating life and see if we can reverse that trend.

If the case was nearly identical to the one they rejected in Texas what outcome did anyone expect?
The left loves science, so that's where this will end up winning hearts and minds.
But, if you look at the landscape of states who will still have abortion even if Roe was overturned, which I doubt it will be, you're not likely to see any more than 5-8 states who put significant restrictions on the practice. Heck, even Louisiana wasn't going to abolish the practice, just wanted to make sure the doctor had privileges at a local hospital should something go wrong.
And, the Catholic Church has watched over 50% of their faithful to vote for Democrats for decades. Most of them don't likely support the practice, but don't see it as their place to tell someone else what is in their best interest. They pray for them, and ask for God's mercy and grace.

John Roberts is a disgrace. His main concern is that he doesn't want "his" court to be seen as liberal or conservative and thus votes based on wanting the court to be neutral. In doing so he does not use the Constitution as the basis for his position. Rather, he uses the most convoluted reasoning to come up with a position that will keep his court "balanced" in its rulings. It is pathetic, but he is another Bush legacy.

I would bet that every doctor performing ANY surgical services. like plastic surgery, in buildings that do not have advanced care for emergencies is required to have admitting privileges at nearby hospitals. Doesn't that seem to be a logical and reasonable requirement?
Abortions carry all kinds of risks to the mother that aren't predictable. You can't walk in off the street for any other surgical procedure. An actual doctor would have required blood work and various tests to alert them to any possible complications.
Democrats protect the abortion with such ferocity that it is frightening because the bottom line is money. I have read that profits from the abortion industry are second only to illegal drug trade. If they really cared about women they would make sure that all the records required of any other clinic be applied. Of course the fact that an abortion is a deliberate act to end the life of an innocent human being, and they're very proud of that, and that they have made it very clear that there is no room the the Democrat party for anyone who disagrees, tells you all that you need to know about them.

My support of George W. Bush has become an embarrassment for me because of his careless and casual selection of John Roberts. And this massive error becomes compounded because he made Roberts the Chief Justice instead of Clarence Thomas. We must reelect President Trump and maintain control of the Senate if the liberal majority of the Court is to be broken. Surely RBG can't last another four years.

So how many women has he condemned to a horrible death by what he did regarding this ruling? Does he not remember the Gosnell trial? What on earth is wrong with requiring doctors who perform these infanticides to have hospital admittance privileges? This is the same kind of thinking that the PP uses to fight any kind of hygiene standards for these clinics too. They just have to say that standards are an infringement on their rights and the authorities back off.

Chief judas john Roberts anjd i share one thing. Each of us is an adoptive parent.
And as an adoptive parent, I look at my children and wonder about their existence, had their mother chose abortion.
I would think Roberts would think like that.

Chief Justice Roberts is just another gift to the nation by the “compassionate” liberal Republican Bush family that never could come up with the intestinal fortitude to successfully defend their political agenda, polices, or their personal or professional reputations. Roberts is not the only judge who was nominated by the Bushes who ended up going rogue to side with the liberal Democrats.

#25, I’m an adoptive parent too. My daughter is 30 years old and just gave birth to our first grandchild, a boy. We adopted her when she was 22 hours old and for the entirety of her life I have looked at her and thought that, had her birth mother made the choice, this beautiful wonderful loving girl could have wound up in pieces in a bag tagged “medical waste”. I don’t understand how anyone can even contemplate killing her own child.
And it’s not just the child; it’s the children of that child and their children and their children down through the ages. Had my daughter’s birth mother not chosen life, my grandson would not exist.
Justice Roberts is Catholic, but in the same way that Pelosi and Biden are Catholic. I hope that he thinks his immortal soul is worth being invited to the best cocktail parties in DC and to being woke.

John Roberts struck down this Louisiana abortion law He joined the Liberals:
“The result in this case is controlled by our decision four years ago invalidating a nearly identical Texas law,” Roberts wrote, although he did not join the opinion written by Justice Stephen Breyer for the other liberals.

Chief Justice Roberts has his own children well taken care of; he doesn't care about anyone else's child, potential child or a pile of dead ones stacked like cord wood. What a CJ SCOTUS he turned out to be. Maybe one day, Christians can have their own Supreme Court.

The federal judiciary must be de-funded, dismantled, and demolished. Irredeemably evil autocrats. Un-elected, un-accountable, un-American black-robed tyrants. There are only about 500 of them. Open up a new wing at Guantanamo, shove them in, bar the doors, walk away.
