Where are the deaths?

The coronavirus doomsayers could not even wait until the fall for the apocalyptic announcements of the dreaded second wave. Because the red states recklessly loosened their lockdowns, we are now told, the US is seeing a dangerous spike in coronavirus cases. ‘EXPERTS SKETCH GLOOMY PICTURE OF VIRUS SPREAD: FAUCI TELLS OF “DISTURBING” WAVE, WITH A VACCINE MONTHS AWAY,’ read the front-page lead headline in the New York Times on Wednesday. ‘VIRUS SPREAD AKIN TO “FOREST FIRE”’ read another front page headline in the Los Angeles Times on Monday, quoting Michael Osterholm, one of the media’s favorite public health experts.

Most people in my area who have gotten the virus have recovered after a short illness. In a county of 135,000 people we have had 14 deaths and almost all of them were elderly.

There is no spike in anything but Democrat incitement of riots, mayhem, bullying, intimidation, lying, whining, hysteria, threats, and foot stomping. Let them choke on their spite and their spit. It is all lies. We need to re-open this economy, kick the politicians, both Republican and Democrat, out of our lives. Our businesses, and our lives, are being completely controlled by the politicians. Our economy will not recover until the politicians are removed from running our businesses, and the running of those businesses is returned to those who know how to run them.

There are a couple graphs I watch. Both are logarithmic 7 days rolling averages. One is the number of daily cases compared to total cases. The other is daily deaths compared to total deaths. The graph shows the track of many countries all superimposed. The striking thing is, they are all waterfall graphs, they steadily rise, then precipitously fall. Some are smoother than others but eventually they all fall. What that indicates to me is that ALL countries, at some point, will see an extreme fall off of cases and deaths. This suggests that the virus is self limiting. As more people become exposed, survive, and are immune, the ability for the virus to spread significantly declines and the number of cases falls. As the most vulnerable of the population succumb, the remaining are either immune or strong enough to fight it off and the number of deaths falls off sharply. This happens no matter how each country approaches dealing with the virus because every country has tried something different. It is a characteristic of the virus and how it spreads. It shows, given time, the cases and deaths will dramatically drop off because most of us are naturally vaccinated or strong enough to easily fight it off. The current graphs show the death rate in the US has already deeply curved and is approaching the waterfall. The number of cases has started to flatten with a recent uptick but the overall decline has started.

Indeed. I've said this since early Spring. And where is the sickness? It's a gigantic lie. To wit, I posted on 5/23 In high school, we were taught the phrase "willing suspension of disbelief". Look at the yarn the media spun about this virus. You can have it and not know it. You can have it up to 14 days before you have symptoms. You can get it, and a "previously healthy" person can be dead in 3 days. Good grief, how much are we expected to swallow? HCQ doesn't work. All good news is anecdotal. I could go on. I know this much: in 62 years, if I got a flu-like virus, I knew it and felt it within hours. I just shake my head sometimes. Seems more true than ever. Inflate your tires. Wear your mask. All will be well.

Joseph Goebbels has been reincarnated. You can see the fear in mask-wearing peoples' eyes as they scurry by you lest one of those ugly viruses jump from you to them. You would think that the black plague is right outside, just waiting to pounce on them and kill them. We knew that the Second Wave would be pronounced a "big deal" but just wait until oppressed people are ordered to lock down again. Blue State governors and mayors are going to be ignored, despite their hollow threats. Hypocrites like de Blasio are going to suffer fits of hysteria. People from New York and New Jersey are still cramming Interstate highways and will turn those two states into one massive hospital when they all return home from their beach vacations. It would be amusing if it weren't so destructive to the economy.

In addition to reporting on deaths, seems to me someone should be reporting the total number of tests administered, not just positive tests...because without that data, the number of positive tests loses meaning.

Too many Americans seem to have lost the ability to think in rational, logical steps. Consider how the initial run on toilet paper and bottled water defied logic...I still can't figure out why that happened, other than the 'lemming factor' overrode rational thought. Same thing is happening with masks...first the experts told us 'not helpful', but now it's illegal in many states to venture forth without one. As these same lemmings apply the same irrationality to the seeming rise in positive tests...they only see the answer they want to see, or are told to see.

The herd is finally starting to achieve immunity. And that's a good thing. As many have noted the initial spread killed off our most vulnerable, those already near death from multiple other causes. The lockdowns temporarily slowed down the spread, especially among our least vulnerable. The relaxing of restrictions, and particularly the mass protests, restarted the infections...but at the best possible time (summer, with sunshine delivered vitamin D), in the best possible circumstances (outdoors, to reduce the viral load in nonconfined spaces). So yes, this "spiking" is a good thing. I would add that going forward, we need to resist any future extended lockdowns which certain leaders will be tempted to use. The human race in general has been very healthy and resistant to pandemics. Our immune systems develop defenses relatively quickly. Human interaction on a daily basis and on a global scale, I believe, may be a key factor to keeping the entire herd healthy by slowly allowing our immune systems to be exposed to and resistant to many communicable threats. Isolation, could change all that. And not in a good way.

Let's state what is now clearly the obvious truth: This virus is a biological weapon released by the Chinese communists to destroy our economy and above all drive President Trump from office with the willing and eager cooperation of the democrat communists and their communist propaganda arm in the media. This is in reality an act of war by the Chinese against us and blatant acts of treason by the democrat communist party and media. Antifa, BLM who are controlled by the Chinese communists and by their allies, the democrat communist party. have been unleased to create utter chaos and violence in the streets which is predictably being blamed on President Trump who has done nothing of any real substance to halt this overthrow of our Republic. Disappointing to say the least. The republicans are liars and cowards. The first illegal and unconstitutional lockdowns failed to complete the destruction of our economy so now the democrat communist media is once again whipping up bogus fear and hysteria which is now successfully stampeding formerly staunch republican governors like Abbot and Desantis into imposing a second lockdown which will complete the destruction of our economy and weaken us to the point where America is no longer capable of resisting the Chinese and insuring the complete takeover of our country by the democrat communists. Look for another round of panic buying by the gutless and gullible fools who believe the media lies. This is all by coincidence taking place in an election year. How convenient. The democrats will steal the elections in November. Their stealth allies the republicans will do nothing to prevent this. The democrats will not make the same mistakes that they committed in 2016 which allowed President Trump to be elected. The real question looming is what will we all do after the election when totalitarian rule is imposed on us after the democrats control all branches of our government. These lockdowns, forced wearing of masks, punishing law abiding citizens and rewarding the traitors and rioters are just a small sample of the misery and death to come. Live Free or Die is rapidly becoming the last resort for all of us loyal citizens of the United States of America.

Even one of my wife's leftist friends, who SAYS she is terrified of this virus - yet who is planning a cross country vacation trip via trains in the next few weeks, (?!) recognizes that "new cases" is a bogus measure. After my wife had pointed out to her a few weeks ago that "new case" was unimportant, since 60-90% of new cases are not making people seriously ill, and that paying attention to hospitalization rates and death rates is a far more useful measure of the problem. Yesterday, when telling my wife about her planned vacation trip, she made some passing comment about "yeah, they are saying new cases, but I know that that isn't important, it's hospitalizations and deaths we need to look at". Amazing, she actually got the message and understood why the media reports aren't necessarily useful information. There hasn't been a single death in my county of a person under the age of 80 in at least a month, probably a bit longer. THAT is an important point.

The COVID19 virus is, for all intent snd purposes, JUST THE FLU! It isn't even a particularly nasty strain of the flu, speaking from personal experience. A family member felt "off" and was experiencing frequent diarrhea. She tested negative twice before a third test finally gave a positive result. Several weeks ago, I, too, was experiencing GI distress, but it soon cleared up without problems. I find out now that I caught the COVID19 virus. No big deal. But then I am not in my '80's or '90's snd am in decent health. Really, for most, nothing to fear.

If we do have a second wave, I suspect it is going to be health related due to the refusal of the so-called experts to see the reality of masks don't work. Plus in addition to health related issues due to forcing masks, there probably will be a host of other health related problems caused by people deliberately made terrified by the ghouls named Fauci, Birx and the Surgeon General, scaring people away from going to the ER because of some virus. Ever tried to get the ER on the phone? Expecting people to get permission first was so irresponsible of those three. Are these three lab rats going to pay a price for their irresponsible actions? Stay tuned....

Seven people, all from different households, not only gathered for Thanksgiving but distributed to the media pictorial evidence of them flouting mask mandates and social distancing edicts. No governor yet claims jurisdiction over the International Space Station but the astronauts have a lot of explaining to do when they return to earth. It’s not as though they lacked for space. Governors ordering around people 250 miles above their states seems far-fetched. But so, too, did the notion of governors usurping the role of legislatures. Eight months after the initial coronavirus lockdowns, citizens docilely accept the idea of a single person dictating the laws that govern millions of people.

The practice of democracy in our constitutional republic flourishes in the presence of contradictions. Democracy, itself, is bound by our inalienable rights, bestowed to us by our Creator. These rights, not given to us by our government by any majority or by any vote, cannot be rescinded, for they were not wrought by man. Voting is a contradiction for it is both public and private at the same time. Its process is intended to be secret, but transparent. Its agency is intensely partisan, but its effect is intended to be unifying. The legitimacy of voting must survive despite the contradictions intrinsic to the process.

The general’s case, though, has become a bonfire of the vanities of one district judge who has denied the presumption of regularity to an official act of the United States government — meaning Attorney General William Barr’s attempt to drop the case. So why would Judge Sullivan credit President Trump’s workaround of a pardon? We understand, the pardon could be the least fettered of all the powers that the Constitution grants to the president.

Many conservatives have moved their social-media accounts to the more freewheeling Parler, and often have slammed the supposedly monopolistic Facebook and Twitter as they’ve decamped from those sites. I have chuckled at some of their overheated parting rhetoric — especially the widespread misunderstanding about the meaning of the word “monopoly.” A monopoly is, as the Oxford dictionary explains, “the exclusive possession or control of the supply of or trade in a commodity or service.” Quite obviously, if one stops doing business with a company and heads over to its competitor, then the previous company is not by definition in exclusive possession or control of a service.
