First there was Michael Moore’s Planet of the Humans, then came Bjorn Lomborg’s False Alarm, and now Michael Schellenberger’s Apocalypse Never. All three authors sound the common theme that the hyper-green environmental activists who have captured, politicized, and monetized the concern for the environment have, as Lomborg explains, created a false climate alarm which has “costs us trillions, hurts the poor, and fails to fix the planet.” To varying degrees, all three authors come from a strong environmental activist background, which observation makes their public revelations even more noteworthy.

Triple ouch!
AGW: there's no there there.
CO2 just follows temp change by a thousand years or so.
And how do you stop China from burning coal?
The science is settled. Grants go to PC projects.
We wasted billions on green energy already.

Is there "climate change"? Sure, nothing new on earth. Whatever happened to those Ice Age glaciers? The tropics at the Poles? Of course, it was climate change. And there is no doubt the dynamics that were are work then are at work now. Throw in a meteor collision or gigantic volcanic event...and here we are. Save the dinosaurs!
Climate change is also a neverending pitch to salve guilt and play politics, with billions in play to "save the earth" from mankind. Politicians rail and appropriate money for research, regardless of party. (Republicans/conservatives call it conservationism.) The power companies are happy to snap up whatever comes their way to install and erect subsidized windmills, solar panels and other gimmicks. And, of course, it's never enough.
It's a price of doing business these days. The guilty will always buy whatever negligence thrown their way, and demand others join them. The politicians will always find money to spread around. Been that way since the ice age...

Anyone who doesn't realize that the planet will end in a blast of fire and smoke are not worthy of the time it would take to argue with them, Read the book, Stupid!

About 1990 when the Soviet Union collapsed, the world communist movement needed a place to hide, a place to recreate it's power base, since their "stock" was no longer respected and they had no Soviet money coming in to fund them.
They chose the environmental movement and took it over, pretty much totally. It was actually made easier by the fact that most of the original environmental activists, who had rightly been incensed by serious pollution of the 40s thru 60s were going back to their normal lives, because most of the real environmental problems had been largely solved or laws were in place to solve them by then.
So with the environmental movement founders leaving, the Communists could move in, paint over their red with green and settle in as "environmentalists"....pushing for the same extreme leftist agenda that they did when they were just Communists, with a few "environmental" twists and excuses.
In the 70s and into the 80s, I was a member of a number of environmental groups that I absolutely despise today, and would never have ANYTHING good to say about now. The groups went from only interested in less pollution, better preservation of national parks and wildernesses to hard core Marxist political operations camoflaged as 'greens".
Now, pretty much ALL the "green movement" is now purely hard core Marxists and they use the cover of "environmentalism" and now the fake "global warming" as their hammers to strike against free market republican forms of government.

Climate change, aka Global Warming, was never about the science...because there is no credible science behind it.
It was always about climate 'reparations', because the groups pushing it know that anytime huge sums of money are seized and distributed, skimming operations create worlds of opportunity for personal enrichment.

"incessant climate propaganda of human-related guilt" for the purpose of power and control.
This is a cousin of racism propaganda, sexism propaganda, and other attempts to delegitimize the American system of government.
Those of us who all along have pointed out the fallacies of these "movements" are demonized. Even when people admit that the science/truth doesn't support them, they insist they are on the right side of the argument because their goals are just. Yet, just as their science is wrong, so is their sense of righteousness and justice. Our market based society has done more to improve the human condition than any other types of government and society. It is more peaceful and just. Perfect? No, but able to change in the search for improvement. In fact, the most damage is done by people seeking "solutions" for environmental, race, sexual, and other issues by forcing controls on us from above. Socialist rigidness is toxic. It is driven by unrealistic demands and expectations of extremists whose real goals are control.

The book Scientocracy documents how politics and government funding influences science - truly intended political science
Gov't funded science is what the politicians and bureaucracy need to further their careers. A guy named Fauci comes to mind.

Which is why the Marxists have switched from climate change to racism to destroy this country.
