Appeals court rejects Trump's
border wall funding

Original Article

Posted By: Ribicon, 6/26/2020 1:58:37 PM

A federal appeals court ruled Friday that President Trump did not have the legal power to siphon money from the Pentagon to build his border wall, erecting another legal hurdle in the path of his most flamboyant campaign promise. The 2-1 ruling by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals comes just two days after Mr. Trump visited the wall in Arizona, signing his name to a plaque marking 200 miles of construction during his term. In the new decision Judge Sidney R. Thomas, a Clinton appointee, said the wall is not a military project, so Mr. Trump couldn’t transfer $2.5 billion

US Supreme Court Chief Justice John "Closet" Roberts, himself a Bush judge, says it's an outrageous slur to suggest that there's any such thing as a Clinton judge or an Obama judge.

Sure seems like a call for the DOD to make not some court. Does the court get to decide what operations are military?

Barack the Magnificent delivered a billion dollars in cash to Iran, and that was OK with the courts. Barring Donald Trump going full Andrew Jackson and ignoring the Supreme Court, we're likely headed for a complete national collapse, leading eventually to an iron-fisted leader who will restore order one way or the next; the only question is whose side will he take.

Although Judge Thomas ascended by longevity to the chief justice slot in the 9th District, he is hardly a stellar jurist. His history is here: Considered for the Supreme Court by Obama, he was passed over for Kagan. This decision was purely political. No real thinking, no desire to protect our country, went into it.

FTA: It’s not immediately clear what effect the ruling will have. The Supreme Court last year ruled Mr. Trump could continue spending the money on the wall while the court battles were proceeding. Indeed, construction has continued even during the coronavirus pandemic, with the Army Corps of Engineers and Customs and Border Protection completing about five miles per week over the past few months.

Two Clinton judges against Trump, one Trump judge for Trump, sounds right on target for the completely politicized ultra liberal 9th Circuit Court in San Francisco. Clearly an effective borderline barrier like the one being built along the Southwest border is a national defensive structure to keep unwanted intrusions from a foreign country into the USA. Such intrusions could be either non-military, military, or terror related these days. No doubt the US Supreme Court will be hearing another government appeal out of the 9th Circuit Court.

What right does this judge have to determine whether a project is “military” when the name of the department is Department of Defense, not Department of the Military. The wall is part of our defense, as walls have been since the beginning of time. Judge Thomas is far outside his authority, a political being rather than a solid American.

Mississippi lawmakers on Saturday took steps toward changing the state flag and its Confederate battle emblem following weeks of mounting pressure. Legislation that lays the groundwork for a new flag moved through the House early in the afternoon with a vote of 84-35. Hours later it cleared the Senate, 36-14. Both chambers needed to pass House Resolution 79 to suspend legislative deadlines and file a bill to change the flag. Debate on the bill itself is expected to occur Sunday. But Saturday's vote was the biggest hurdle, and it was widely expected legislation formally removing the flag and its Confederate imagery would soon become law.

For about four days, the radio waves would arrive at random. Then, for the next 12, nothing. Then, another four days of haphazard pulses. Followed by another 12 days of silence. Much as the Russia hoax was their “insurance policy” in 2016, voter fraud is their ace in the hole this year. In recent cycles voter fraud has been institutionalized as part of the Democrats’ electoral strategy, but now it is being elevated to a new high. Or low. The current drive, in many states, for voting by mail is simply an attempt to facilitate fraud by causing millions of ballots to be mailed out to non-existent, dead, moved or unqualified voters.
