A 24-year-old in a wheelchair gave walking papers to a rival endorsed by President Trump on a Tuesday in a Republican primary runoff in North Carolina. He also showed that nasty negative advertising can be defeated by a largely positive message.Madison Cawthorn, who won’t turn 25 until Aug. 1, is a motivational speaker and real estate investor whose career at the U.S. Naval Academy was cut short when he was partially paralyzed in an automobile accident (in which he was a passenger). In a race for the U.S. House of Representatives in the Tarheel State’s 11th Congressional District, Cawthorn first survived a multi-candidate primary featuring several political veterans,

At some point they’ll discover that young Cawthorn is a hardcore Conservative who supports President Trump. He has great appeal to the younger voters. We can use that.
Once again, Trump actually won...

Mr. Hillyer says of Cawthorn . . .
His sunny tones are distinctly un-Trumpian.
Make America Great Again is distinctly upbeat and sunny, Mr. Hillyer. Always has been.

President Trump has a very positive side and message. The media chooses to ignore it but the rest of us hear it.

Doubtful Trump will ask Mr. Cawthorn to "stand up" like Biden implored a Democrat politician who was in a wheelchair.
I would like to see Trump focus on the positive things, and stop with some of the "digs" or extraneous parts which seem off-script.
Talk about how he has been targeted from day-one, how he's had an entire FBI and DOJ working over-time, from the 7th floor (executive level), in an effort to prevent the peaceful transfer of power, and to undermine his administration. No need to talk about "the lovers", and such. Just stick to the facts, and illustrate how coordinated the effort has been, how the Democrats have participated, and how he can empathize with many who've been targeted unfairly.

Hillyer was gloating that President Trump’s candidate lost….to another very pro-Trump candidate.
Time for Hillyer to retire.
The Examiner is not a Conservative news source.

Trump is going to need the support of the House or Senate if the Democrats are going to try to do to Pence/Trump what they did to Agnew/Nixon. Look it up. There's a reason nobody has reminded you that in living memory we had a a POTUS and a VPOTUS neither with one vote from the electorate. I don't think the Donkeys want Biden to win. They just want the House and/or Senate. With that, they can select who ever they want. See how they did it before. Agnew out, Nixon selects new VPOTUS, senate must approve or Speaker is next in line of succession, only a widely acceptable candidate will get through Senate, Ford in, Nixon out, Rockefeller the new VPOTUS. For those, read Pence for Agnew, read Trump for Nixon, read Romney for Ford, and the Lord God only knows what they have in mind for VPOTUS. Anyway we would have zero input. As. Happened. Before.

Good looking young man. I hope he turns out to be the real deal. USNA is a good reference, for sure.

In politics Madison Cawthorn has now earned his spurs and from now on will be the Trump endorsed Republican candidate for that congressional seat. When issuing endorsements to aspiring Republican primary candidates for the 435 congressional seats, there is no way that Trump could know all the candidates, and must rely on the recommendations of prominent Republicans from and in those States. The final arbiter as to who wins primary elections are the voters in the states. The main thing is that Cawthorn wins the general election in November.

Trump is not the end all, he was voted because he was street fighter, a fighter fo what America stands for. If Cawthorne can run as a fellow conservative with American values in his heart, then it is America who benefits, wether he is endorsed by Trump or not.

The fact Trump endorsed Mark Meadows’ choice, Mrs. Bennett, who just happens to be super close friends with Meadows’ wife does not bother me at all. Trump went ahead and went with the recommendation the establishment wanted. However, our President will be thrilled that Madison is a fighter who knows how to win a battle. Cawthorn is absolutely the conservative we need. His bio, his superb family are just tremendous. When the candidates debated, most North Carolinians left the event blown away by Madison Cawthorn. I am so excited that he is just one of the new fresh millennials to come with principles and GUTS. Madison is just what the GOP House needs and he is NOT afraid to say yes he will gladly join the House Freedom Caucus. Now we have to help him win the election.
