Today’s yellow brick road to a coronavirus-free world is as phony as the one Dorothy took to find her way back home (in “The Wizard of Oz”). Too many are acting as though they are characters in a fantasy instead of real human beings in the actual world. Such an astounding disorientation as we are witnessing on account of a virus leaves little doubt that political maneuvering and the hand of corporate media have a lot to do with the oppressive official response to Covid-19. Relying on the mainstream media for all you need to know about this pandemic is to put your faith in its honesty and objectivity.

It's all about power over their "subjects" - us. Over in Greensboro, NC, mayor Nancy has decreed that all her subjects are to wear masks everywhere in public or in private spaces where "social distancing" cannot be maintained (I can't believe we're still following the dictates issuing from a teenager's high school essay). As one local wag put it we wear them "...basically as long as Mayor Nancy says so." Someone has obviously forgotten who works for whom.

The MFM is neither honest nor objective. They're part of the scam.

Sigh. There are now 2 camps on COVID-19: those who fear and those who don’t. Those who don’t have been aghast at how this whole thing was handled from the start, and those who fear, are determined beyond reason to hold onto it. I’ve tried to reason with people and calm their fears, but the media drumbeat is simply too loud and pervasive. It’s tough not to be depressed at the human condition these days.

...whenever I see the frightened sheep wearing their masks I have to shake my head....do you REALLY believe that wearing that bandana...recycled KISS tee-shirt...or $2.49 mask from Rite -Aid... is REALLY going to be effective against a microscopic pathogen...??...it's like trying to stop mosquitoes with a chainlink fence
...and I am still in shock...I NEVER would have imagined that so many Americans would believe the dishonest media without question......and comply with the life-changing dictates of clowns who were elected mainly to fix the roads and maintain the parks.

re #5 It is illegal for me to go into a store or restaurant or medical building without a mask. I wear the same one, over and over, so I know it isn't protecting me, except from the government.

It's all about data, and most of the data points are not helpful.
Take the 2,332,850 cases in the U.S. but only 647,000 are reported as recovered.
Yet, essentially every case up-to May 1st, should be recovered, except a few anomalies. And, really it should be about May 21st.
Even the world numbers are 9,169,329 cases but shows 4,588.011 recovered - 474,242 deaths.
Unfortunately, they've frightened everyone into thinking if you get the virus, you're going into the hospital and you'll be on a ventilator very soon - yet, it's very small number who will.
We need better data, but I fear far too many are looking at this as an political opportunity instead.

#2 - You had to mention Mayor Nancy today. Don't tell her, but I went to my mechanic this morning, didn't wear a mask, neither were ANY of the owners/employees wearing one. We even shook hands and talked to each other at a normal, 3 foot distance.

True story. This happened to my 37yr. old son last night. Most Tuesday's he and and four friends from his church play handball. Last night was the first time since all this crap started. Afterwards they went to a restaurant and as they went in were told they could only sit four at a table. O.K. So they were going to split up, 3 at one table and 2 at another. Nope. They were told since they came in as a group they had to stay as 4 and 1. Absolutely makes no sense. So one of the guys sat by himself at a different table next to the one the other four were. Now, when it came time to pay, the owner wouldn't take my son's cash. He doesn't have a bankcard, so one of his friends had to pay for him and my son gave him the cash. This happened in a small town about ten minutes north of Seattle. We are imprisoned in an insane asylum and the real nuts are running the place. Oh, our governor, Jay Hitler has ordered that starting Friday everyone has to wear a mask out in public.

The (Dem) mayor of Orlando decreed that mask were mandatory recently. I promptly bought a Trump gaiter-type mask. If I go into a store, I may or may not wear it or just have it around my neck to show my "good" intentions. Also, masks may be mandatory but wearing them correctly is not. So if I have to wear it, it will only cover my mouth. I cannot breathe in them (and I'm an RN!)

The "scientists" and particularly the media have been scaring the sheep with the "models" predicting A SECOND WAVE.now that the first is petering out. Believe me, they will come up with a second wave if only to save face.

Make end of the world announcements based on phony data. Then change your opinions based on the phony data as often as possible. Keep giving everyone's going to die messages 24/7. Convince every government official that everything has to be shut down for two weeks, no one month, until there's a vaccine, maybe until 2021 if everything goes right. Tell people not to wear masks, and give every reason under the sun to keep them from doing so, then tell them to stay six feet apart. A month later or so, now tell people they have to wear masks everywhere, but still stay six feet apart. In other words, make the lives of every person as miserable as possible based on phony data for as long as possible. Question there ideas and motives, and they fire back, " Where's your medical degree? "

The increased numbers of Kung Flu result from increased testing, but I can't help but want to know if those testing positive are actually sick, asymptomatic or testing positive for antibodies, meaning they had it, got over it and are now immune from it but are being counted in the numbers regardless of their health status. A little clarification from the so-called "experts" would really help to calm the populace. Unfortunately, that same clarification would also cost the "experts" their power over all of us, and that is ultimately what this is all about.
