Despite 2020’s tough start, Trump’s base remains solid, which bodes well for his November. National polls have recently shown a widening Biden lead; considering the current political environment, this is not surprising. What is surprising is how well Trump has held up, and how well it positions him as political tides turn.
The current Real Clear Politics average of national presidential polling gives Biden a 50.1% to 41.3% lead less than five months from November’s election. This fits conventional expectations that 2020’s rough first half is damaging the president’s re-election chances. However, looking inside these national polls reveals a crucial

Trump's base is getting stronger every day. His attitude is still uplifting and he has made all the right moves against a relentless enemy. We CAN NOT let the democrats steal this election or the entire country will become a CHOP.

Trump was right when he talked about the Silent Majority. The left has become so vocal and violent that many Trump voters are remaining silent. We will vote just like we did in 2016. The only difference is there are more of us now. It will be a landslide.

Nobody solidifies and unites Trump's base like the Democrats.

I voted for Trump in 16 because the alternative was unthinkable. This year, I will vote FOR Trump because he has earned my support and the alternative is really unthinkable.

''Journalists'' who write stories based on polls, this far away from an election, are wasting their employer's money. After 2016, they should know better.

I look like a fit old hippie and I never wear or display political colors [apart from Old Glory]. I live in basically ground zero when it comes to fairyland and libtard central but the truth is I'm 100% Pro America and 100% Pro President Trump. I figure there are millions of me out there, waiting for November.

As usual, the left has no idea who we are and how many we are. That blind spot is their biggest weakness.

Me too poster 8. We live just outside of an uber left area in Massachusetts.
They always assume because of my Viking Mohawk and nose ring I'm a libturd just like them. Especially in the new age shop I love to visit!
Nope, I'm conservative, pro America first and fore most, pro second amendment, pro police and a loud and proud President Trump supporter. You should see their faces when i tell them what i think, and I'm a woman!
Some things really are priceless...

If Mr. Trump can successfully paint a picture of returning to normal -- a normal in which the rights of minorities are protected along with everyone else's -- he will go a long way to securing a win in November. People are increasingly tired of upheaval. And Biden is banking on upheaval. Whether folks admire Mr. Trump personally or not, most folks will go for normal over more and more turbulence. And turbulence is what Biden represents.

The polls are complete garbage. The more desperate the Left gets, the crazier the poll results are.
Trump has made significant inroads with Black and Hispanic voters which account for about 1/3 of dem voters. No, Trump may not win a majority of either voter block but if he gets 40% of Hispanics and 20% of Blacks, a very real possibility, the dems are toast. Further, the majority of people think that Biden has dementia. An enthusiastic vote for a senile Biden is VERY unlikely, robbing even more votes. Women are NOT happy with gropy Joe and his #MeToo problems. More loss of votes and enthusiasm. Youth, a normally poor turnout group, are not going to be excited by a senile, near octinegerian. Many Leftist Bernie Bros have said they won't vote for Joe.
With all the major dem identity groups dissatisfied and enervated, do you really think Uncle Joe is going to do better than Hillary, WHO LOST? According to my Magic 8 Ball when asking if Joe will be president?, "My sources say no.".

Given the current climate of cancel culture, doxing, and liberal mob violence, is it really surprising that Trump supporters either don't answer pollsters, or answer inaccurately? All while quietly planning to vote for Trump in November.

My husband and I voted Trump in 2016. Neither of us admitted it to anyone. We keep our politics private. We're voting for him again in 2020. Am I telling ANYONE this time around? That would be a strong "No." I live in rural Oregon (not in a libtard city). The population concentration is in the crazy cities, not out in the rural areas, which is why Oregon always goes Dim. If a pollster contacts me, (unlikely since we only use cell phones), I will lie to them. It's as simple as that. There are more of us out there than they know.
