This sounds more like favoritism than equality. Or fear than equality. Or pandering than equality.

I'll be willing to bet that Obama's white ancestors owned slaves. Can we please look into that and condemn him from making speeches and receiving a monthly paycheck from us for the rest of his miserable life!

What next. All people with names like LEE as in Robert E. Lee and all the other names that might remind someone of the confederacy must either move out or have their names legally changed?

When is one of the dumbest, and most racist members of the house going to change her name or be expelled by the liberal, pandering hierarchy, one Sheila Jackson-Lee? Jackson and Lee makes her a two-fer!

In the 60s, Berkeley should have been declared an autonomous zone by the US gov't and then had a wall built around it.

I wonder how many black people have the last names of Washington and Jefferson. Will they be changing their names?

Washington and Jefferson risked everything to help establish what became the greatest experiment in freedom and self-government in human history. It provides rights, freedoms, and opportunities for blacks that far surpass those found in any African nation. If the BLM leaders are going to use their political power to force the schools to change their names in their attempt to change our history, they might as well be honest about their true goals. Here are just a few replacement suggestions: Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Castro, Mao, or Pot.
You know you've got a fine kettle of fish when you have the blacks calling the kettle Pot.

When I started substitute teaching while getting my credentials, I learned quickly to avoid taking assignments at schools named after Martin Luther King. Wise policy.

Oh, you know, Washington and Jefferson, whoever they were, lived a long time ago and weren't "woke", so who cares about them anyway...Sharpton and Floyd, now there are 2 modern heroes. Like, name schools after them!

Rename the two schools after Leroy Washington and Willie Jefferson. That should be acceptable.
