Six months ago, when journalist Christopher Caldwell published a book asserting that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 had grown into a “rival constitution” that superseded the old Constitution, everyone laughed. (Snip)Singled out for particular ridicule was the sentence on the penultimate page of The Age of Entitlement where Caldwell advises conservatives that “the only way back to the free country of their ideals was through the repeal of the civil rights laws.” How could the fate of American freedom depend on something so radical, and so unlikely, as the repeal of the Civil Rights Act?
No one is laughing now.

FTA:
Justice Neil Gorsuch, in his majority opinion in Bostock v. Clayton County, has decreed that the anti-discrimination protections afforded to women under Title VII of the CRA must be extended to gays, lesbians, and the transgendered, because all of these are discrimination “on the basis of sex.”
This is not a narrow ruling that just means you can’t fire a person for being gay. Extending civil rights law to protect a whole new category carries with it a host of ancillary protections.
There’s much, much more to this...

This is a direct attack on religious organizations and in particular, Christians. The lawyers are lining up applicants to church office opening now. This is evil at work.

Gorsuch was hailed as an originalist who would honor the lawmaker's original intent and understanding. I can guarantee that the legislators who wrote the Civil Rights Act were not intending the protection of gender identity and behavioral perversion when they passed the law. But this does illustrate that most of our laws are poorly written - probably deliberately so - so that how laws are interpreted and enforced ends up in the hands of our deep state bureaucrats so that the lawmakers can blame someone else for the final results.

It is time then to enact 'loser pays' laws so that our institutions especially our churches aren't bankrupted defending themselves. You want to sue - better make sure you win or you are paying for my defense.

The most direct and tragic unintended consequence of this legal decision is to allow transgender women (women who are genetically male) to compete in women's athletics as women. The separation of men's and women's sports was based on physiological attributes that protected women and allowed them to compete on a level playing field. As has been seen in recent weight-lifting and track-and-field sports the admission of transgender women has made it futile for genetically determined women to ever compete again in these sports. The same effect will happen in other field sports like softball limited only by the relatively small number (so far) of males who are undergoing gender reassignment. Stay tuned.

#6, will male versus female sports competitions be eliminated entirely? Why have such distinctions?
Just have a unitary sport, and make it open to all.

Was Justice Gorsuch being "homo-mailed" by someone or group? This ruling makes no sense at all. They can't even flippin' define homosexuality in medical terms, although it was categorized as a mental disorder up until 1973 by the American Psychiatric Association.
From Wikipedia on history of the homo movement -
"Success of the early informal homosexual student groups, along with the inspiration provided by other college-based movements and the Stonewall riots, led to the proliferation of Gay Liberation Fronts on campuses across the country by the early 1970s. These initial LGBT student movements handed out gay rights literature, organized social events, and sponsored lectures about the gay experience. Through their efforts, the campus climate for LGBT people improved."
Once again, these movements started on campuses and aided and abetted by leftist professors and spineless administrators.
This decision alone will result in the destruction of this nation.

Well. I am now illegal.
My constitutional right to freedom of religion has been abrogated. Justices Gorsuch and Roberts have made sure that they will soon come to take away my Bibles and give me new ones. The new ones will not tell the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. Those cities were destroyed because of their "immorality:". All they wanted to do was sodomize a couple of angels. And for that they got fire and brimstone.
Thanks SCOTUS. You are a bunch of flaming perverts.
Woe to those who call evil good and call good evil.
Their destruction is sure. Meanwhile my civil rights are gone.

If a transgender "woman" is also lesbian and marries a similar person. Are relations between them homo or lesbian? Gives me a two Excedrine headache!

I've given up on SCOTUS. I knew Roberts sold out--thanks, W-- but I don't know what happened to Gorsuch.

The writing was on the wall for a decision like this as soon as the Supreme Court accepted this case on appeal.

If you’re “thanking” Bush for Roberts, be sure and thank Trump for Gorsuch. Or you could say, we never know what will happen when a new justice joins the Supreme Court.
