Texas land commissioner George P. Bush, the eldest son of former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, delivered a simple message for rioters who might be thinking about trashing The Alamo: “Don’t mess with The Alamo.”Bush released a statement on Saturday evening after social media posts claimed that so-called “protesters” were wanting to take down The Alamo, which comes as violent rioters have trashed inner cities across the country and have destroyed historical monuments and statues in recent days. One social media post that went viral online came from lawyer Robert Barnes, who wrote: “Protesters in San Antonio now demanding tearing down The Alamo.” The tweet had nearly 9,000 retweets

The monuments and MOST beloved places in red states may be threatened by thugs but I predict citizens will rise up and never permit their being hurt. In Texas’ case, its the Alamo. Thank you George P. Bush!

I hope sincerely the anarchists will try. This time around, the defenders of the Alamo will easily prevail. What more effective way to end the imagined "blue wave" in Texas?

Not one penny to any city, state or locale that lets these anarchists roam free to destroy. Got it, Mr. President?

Demographic shifts enabled by the Bush family leaving the border open guarantee that within the next few decades, the new Hispanic majority will do as they please with things they find offensive, and the police will stand by and watch the peaceful protestors do their thing.

In the words of Leonidas, 'Molon Labe'. As later interpreted by the Gonzales citizenry 'Come And Take It'. I didn't have an ancestor at the Alamo. But I did have one at San Jacinto. I'm now considered to be an old man I suppose. But I am still a hell of a shot. I've lived a good, long life, and believe there are some things worth dying for.

Once again, Trump is on the money. You have to meet these actions with force the minute they try them, or they will continue to ratchet up the violence. Human nature is, unfortunately, very predictable, especially when it is evil.

Sadly, I think George P. Bush is just jealous.
Only he is allowed to mess with the Alamo!!! Those rioters better not even think about it. It's his alone to destroy!!!
I just hope this is his wake up call, that messing with the Alamo (and other historical things from Texas' history) are very bad things to do -- whether you are a violent and evil rioter, or a smug and arrogant elected official!!!!!

That would seem likely to get a response from local folks that would make any police response look anemic, to say the least.
Trying to harm the Alamo would be very foolish.

It’s obvious, at this stage, the madness has gone too far. It is now time for the history-destroying locust plague to meet our kind of brutal madness! These men who died at the Alamo shall never have their sacrifice be in vain! Not a one of these Antifa bastards have the cajones of the Alamo defenders!

Looks like SAPD and, others.....have The Alamo adequately secured.
But just say the word, I'll drive to San Antonio and stand a watch. Proudly.
God Bless Texas.

Wood shampoos and handcuffs - then angry Texas juries. I actually hope they try something, so Texas can show the nation how to handle these terrorists and thugs!

And beef up the guards (and SWAT snipers) around the San Jacinto Monument also. If this Antifa madness spreads to the Latinistas then Texas historical monuments will suffer.

#16 - as a Texan whose childhood is filled with memories of visiting the San Jaci to monument I am ALMOST willing to let those Tidepod eating thugs try to take down the monument. Anyone who has been there knows its a stack upon stack of hefty Cretaceous era limestone... and taller than the Washington monument to boot. Reall...it would be hilarious to watch.
