A Seattle resident living in Capitol Hill, where activists have taken over a roughly six-block radius and turned it into the “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” (CHAZ), spoke with the Daily Caller in an exclusive interview about life on the border of the commune. The man, who asked to only be referred to as Brandon, said he has been terrified since the protests began. Brandon said protesters are at his gates every night, adding that his “own government” has abandoned the people.“I’m scared,” Brandon said.

He’s right! His government HAS abandoned him and the others! A government that does not protect its citizens is not a government at all! Despicable mayor! Despicable governor!

Your own government has abandoned you? Yup, the mayor and the governor have taken the side of lawlessness and illegitimate gangs.

"His own government has abandoned him'' - Yes, exactly. His mayor and his governor. And how did he vote before? How will he vote in November? Does he grasp that this is caused by WHO the city of Seattle and state of Washington has put into positions of power?
Life is ALL about choices. Who you vote for, or if you vote or not, is a very important one of life's many choices. Think about it, HARD before you support any Democrat, EVER.

It appears that Brandon isn't feeling "the love". How can that be? It's just one big love in, street fair, a good time is being had by all experience. Yes, Brandon, they have let you down. So I suggest you not vote for the dems anymore.

Since the governor isn't concerned about Capitol Hill occupation why don't a bunch of you go to Olympia and take over the governors mansion?

I watched/listened to about 7:30 of the interview and he finally admitted that his own government he supported and that he elected had abandoned him.
Yeah, his situation is bad. Its a wake up call to what dimocrats are about. Will he change? Doubtful. He probably thinks he just needs better dimocrats.

I watched the whole video and it is clear he only has a partial clue - he knows the government he supported has abandoned him and his neighbors, and there's a lot of violence around him. Unfortunately he still buys into the "peaceful protest" BS,and somehow thinks if the barricades come down everything will be OK. The barricades are the least of his problems.

Washington State members of Congress have been MIA on the riot that has claimed a six block area of Seattle. Where are Congres person Pramila Jayapal (D-WA7) representing Seattle, Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) and Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-WA) on the armed and violent terrorist hate groups occupying Seattle? Are they abandoning their constituents?

Since it appears he supported the current democrat politicians, the following applies: play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

#8: They are all communists so we won't hear from them. They, along with the mayor of Seattle and the governor are in on the insurrection and need to be in prison along with the group at CHAZ. When is the federal government going to arrest those in government that support sedition?

I never thought I would fear living in Seattle until now. The beyond corrupt democrats running Seattle calls for serious repercussions from the Federal Government. The would be the true Republicans. The RINOs and far left progreesisve are a very clear and present danger.

I am fed up with people whining about the officials THEY elected. You want better? Then elect a better candidate. God forbd - maybe even change party affilation - Nahhh! Wasn't it Einstein who said 'stupid' was repeating an experiment then expecting a different result. This is not your mayor, Seattle. It is the Dem party.

This will do wonders for property values in "CHAZ" and surrounding areas. Good luck, Seattle, getting property taxes on properties that are worth nothing.

Brandon needs to take off his jammies, put down his hot chocolate and go buy an AR-15 (or the Biden model AR-14) and about 500 rounds of ammo. Then he should stay awake all night whimpering.
If he's still afraid of the mini-Ninjas he could always give them his house.

Time to move, #11. Don't leave it too late, housing prices are surely on their way down. Folks who hung on too long in Detroit literally couldn't sell their homes for anything at all.

Well Brandon, My bet is you elected your Mayor. My bet is you vote Democrat. So, you reap what you sow! I don't feel sorry for any of the people in that little enclave! Sorry, but I just don't!

A lot of people like Brandon will NEVER get it. They are totally in a fantasy world and the base for that is hating normals, Republicans, and anything good about long standing traditions. They vote for empty slogans, get worse and worse results and when it really gets bad, like now, they will start raving about President Trump not doing enough to stop it. The last thing they want to do is look in a mirror and admit the right was right.

I lived on Capitol Hill for 9 years, and I get the hell out in 1994 when things started getting completely out of hand. At first, it was subtle: the sly insults at dinner parties, the shunning behavior. Then it got progressively worse, to the point where I felt unwelcome in my own city, simply because I´m a Conservative who votes Republican. (No one seemed to notice that that characterization describes half the American people.)
I moved to California, and even that was better. There was a solid Republican governor at the time (Pete Wilson), and a kind of power-sharing system in Sacramento. During the 2000s, though, things got much worse, and by 2013 I was ready to return to my native Texas. Ahh, Texas. Good ol´Texas.
Socialism is hell.
