"Students Demand" - try telling them 'no', in no uncertain terms and if some of them throw a tantrum, expel them. That might just be the very first time they ever heard the word 'no'. It will be good for them.

The student protesters are riding a one-trick pony and unfairly judging Jefferson's entire life by today's racial standards. What is needed and constructive is an open, honest debate about race in America today. Instead of using the past as an excuse, Americans should be focused on the future and how to make it better. Anger and resentment needs to be worked through and put aside if progress is to be made. An emphasis on taking personal responsibility is necessary. Decades of government attempts to address problems of race have only exacerbated those problems. It is YOUR responsibility to build a future for you and your children, NOT the government's responsibility. It will take some time and a lot of personal effort, but it will work just as it did for many groups who were previously subject to discrimination such as Chinese, Jews, Irish and Italians. They all managed to work through it and move on.

Dear Demanding, Thomas Jefferson was born into a world where a slave could never be free. He authored the first legislation to make it legally possible for an African American to become free. It failed to pass until he became Governor of VA and personally signed it into law. He educated what slaves he could and feed them when they could support themselves. That is the change he made in the world he was born into. As soon as one of you make a greater change to your world we will put your statue next to his.

One remark is correct, Thomas Jefferson has no place on their campus. A man that intelligent and honorable would be justified in turning up his nose at what those morons are doing to the great country that he helped to found. Somebody please put up George Floyd statues in all of their places, he is the new role model, criminal, drug addict and low IQ thief. President Thomas Jefferson had a family with Sally Hemmings. In fact, they had 6 children together. What is that called? Nowadays, it would be said he had no racial bias. Back then it was a different time in the history. Young students should educate themselves and learn the facts before they go on a rampant spree of hate and destruction. They should take a good look at the fanatics around them, especially their professors, and question their motives.

"First they came for the Confederate monuments, but I said nothing because I am not from the South." That precedent established (thanks for nothing, Nikki Haley), coupled with any opposition to Black Sensitivities resulting in social exile if not loss of employment, we must take a knee to the rest. The communists promised in writing to do exactly this back in 1963, while also assuring us that they do not exist, adding furthermore that belief in conspiracies denotes crack-pottery, along the lines of how we were taught in school about the dangerously un-American activities of Sen. McCarthy, who exposed them.

Since announcing his candidacy for President in 2015, Donald Trump has dominated the national news cycle — largely to the benefit of legacy media companies. As a growing amount of their airtime centered upon their hatred of the businessman turned politician, many witnessed sharp increases in their audience sizes. The New York Times, for instance, saw more subscriptions in the last three months of 2016 than all of 2015 combined. During election week in 2020, CNN saw a 135% increase in viewership over the first week of November 2019. After the inauguration of President Biden, however, legacy media saw double-digit drops in their viewership.

Democrats call their current massive spending bill a "COVID relief" bill, but the half-trillion-dollar bailout of state governments has nothing to do with COVID-19 relief. Plenty of states are doing poorly fiscally, but generally, this has nothing to do with the pandemic and everything to do with their own mismanagement. This was a disputed point back in the spring, but no more. The numbers are in. The coronavirus has not left most states struggling for revenue the way people originally expected. The Congressional Budget Office is anticipating 4.6% economic growth in 2021.
