Donald Trump blasted Colin Powell as 'overrated' and a 'stiff' on Sunday after the former national security adviser and secretary of State said he would not be supporting the president's reelection in November. 'Colin Powell, a real stiff who was very responsible for getting us into the disastrous Middle East Wars, just announced he will be voting for another stiff, Sleepy Joe Biden,' Trump charged in a Sunday morning tweet. 'Didn't Powell say that Iraq had 'weapons of mass destruction?' They didn't, but off we went to WAR!' Earlier in the morning, Powell joined the list of high-profile Republicans, including George W. Bush

Trump is too hilarious. Where does he come up with this stuff?
And it's not as if these guys don't deserve a dressing down. They believe more in our weakness than us strength.
It really is as if Trump is fighting these battles all by himself. It's a good thing he has indomitable will.

As a veteran, I really appreciate everything Bush did regarding our wounded warriors, but when he chooses a demented, racist crook and which ever crook (Hillary) that he chooses as his running mate, over the good of America, he's lost any respect I had for him. He might as well take a knee with Kaperdink!

Our warriors would not have been wounded to begin with had Poppy "New World Order" Bush and then Dubya not gone adventuring in the Middle East, to no benefit to the USA other than the arms dealers.

I am ashamed to say that I voted for the likes of George W Bush, Mitt Romney and John McCain during their presidential runs for office. They, along with all the other Washington insiders posing as Republicans, have exposed themselves as pandering fools that could really care less about the future of our country. What is their solution? Elect a man exhibiting signs of senility?

Colin Powell—an overrated, affirmative action stiff, I’m sorry to say. When will these people learn not to get into a pissing contest with Donald Trump? By these people I mean RINO’s, and all Democrat leaders from Congress down to governors and mayors. If they kept their mouths shut, Trump would stop the Tweeting they all claim to hate.

I read a comment the other day that claimed Trump was not a democrat or republican. I was taken aback at first, but it really is true. He ran as a republican, but the truth is, the republican party is made of of several ideological types; christian conservatives, fiscal conservatives and what the Bushes, Romneys, McCains, and many others are, who are "established" republicans that manage the party exactly like leaders on the left control their party; no difference. Decisions are made that benefit themselves, and the party they control, benefits that are usually focused on wealth and power. So it should come as no surprise when those who control their respective party get offended when Trump steps in and plays a different game; he doesn't need the wealth and power, what he needs is a stable and safe nation in which to live, not much different than what you and me want. Trump truly wants what is best for American, but establishment republicans and democrats want what is best for their party, which equates to what is best for them. Trump is beholden to no one, and that irks them more than seeing the other party win. That is what we are facing in this next election, established politicians putting their party before America, which is putting their wants before what is best for America and before YOU and me. God Bless America and God Bless President Trump. If America is to have any future, RIGHT and TRUTH must prevail.

Trump is right. But I still wish he would just swat them off like Bugs and move on. It doesn't do him any good to get into a name calling fight with former Military. Now some of those in the Pentagon are going against Trump. He doesn't gain anything doing this and I think he might just have a little to lose if members of the Military decide not to vote for him this time around. Shut off Twitter and don't get into name calling and you will win in a Landslide in November!

Colin Powell, affirmative action inductee into military school and then on to the government dole his entire life. I still remember him identifying those aluminum cylinders on the ground in Iraq as potential missile tubes and then disavowing all of it when GWB embroiled the US into another unsuccessful Middle East boondoggle based on Powell's expert advice.

You'd think Romney at least would figure out that he has zero influence with the Republican base after his 2016 denunciation of Trump fell flat. I wasn't sure I was for Trump until Romney went after him, then I was all in. They'll hurt themselves more than Trump if they endorse Biden. If they succeed in limiting Trump to one term, there won't be any pieces of the Republican party to pick up because the leftist mobs will make sure there's only one party after that. They'll go down as the useful idiots who sold out the country.

What Wars has Colin Powell ever won?
During the First Gulf War when coalition forces ran the Iraqi army out of Kuwait and had them just about whipped, Powell’s advise to the first President Bush was to quit the battlefield and essentially allow the Iraqi army to escape and recover to fight again. Then after 9/11 Powell was back with a foreign designed “dossier” , we have heard that word before, claiming that the Iraqis had weapons of mass destruction (WMD’s) that essentially served as the big excuse for the second President Bush to invade Iraq, a “dossier” that turned out to be false after no (WMD) were found in Iraq. Resulting in a disaster on the ground there that exists to this day and thousands of US casualties.
Powell is essentially a Democrat who voted for Obama twice and for Hillary Clinton, so why would he be expected to vote for President Trump? Just the liberal media trying to drum up controversy.

Bush has a short memory. We don't. He forgets how everyone blamed him for everything. He turned his cheek. That was is style. We accepted it. Well President Trump doesn't turn the cheek, he confronts his enemies head on, and that's why we respect him far more than we will ever respect anyone who has a short memory and can't remember who supported him, including his colossal mistake to go into Iraq for WMD. Powell was also in on that caper. How can Bush even comment on Trump. Forget Romney, he's in the same category as John Kerry and McCain... flawed and predictable losers. Bush should get the brushes out and go back to oil painting.

Powell was far too coy for too many years when questioned about his political ambitions/beliefs/leanings.
We now know exactly what he is, where he stands ( maybe - at least today ) and who he backs. He couldn't keep that act up forever.
Also keep in mind that, like or not, Twitter is the ONLY medium that the President has to say what he wants to say, the way he wants to say it, and have it reach the American people in HIS words. What he says does not need to go through professional airheads ( journalists and television cue card or teleprompter readers ) who seem to think that we NEED them to explain to us what 'the President really meant' ( like they do for Biden et al !! ).

I can identify with #7, except my votes in those elections were twice for Dubya, and twice against Obama.
Had Bush43 not chosen to whimper defensively in response to the continual enemedia attacks, he might have retained a solid legacy. But as soon as the White House correspondents realized he wouldn't fight back when cornered, they effectively neutered him and his presidency.
Lessons that PDJT learned and applied from day 1. Which is a big part of why my 2020 vote will be for Trump, whereas my 2016 vote (technically for Trump) was more against Crooked Hillary than for him.
