The FBI and the DoJ have very reluctantly revealed more and more information about how the Obama administration conspired to subvert democratic elections. Recent bombshell documents prove that President Barack Obama was directly involved in the conspiracy against Donald Trump. (snip) the coup plotters, including Sally Yates, sought to fabricate a reason to sideline Flynn under the Logan Act, 18 U.S.C. § 953. To White House Counsel Don McGahn, Yates and relevant leaders of the FBI passionately argued that the Logan Act criminalizes any difference in policy between outgoing and incoming administrations.

So, a perverse use of the Logan Act to criminalize difference of policies between the outgoing administration and the incoming one. As if any of Obama’s going-ons should never be laid aside by Trump, simply because. I remember when Obama and Holder were going to prosecute the agents under Bush who water boarded terrorists to get vital information about further plots against the nation, when those agents acted on legitimate government authority, before Obama even was nominated! I thought this was what third world type dictatorships do!

So, a small-ish group of highly educated people, many lawyers, supposedly knowing the Logan Act was not used in 200+ years, and was on shaky legal footing, decided to use it as the basis of their actions, huh? If people want to see how institutional inertia can take on it's own form, particularly if you are trying to cover-up potentially illegal acts, this is looking to be a good example. Initially, many likely thought they'd be protected by the incoming Clinton administration, and promoted for their loyalty too. Then, they needed to find a way to cover-up things (it's not just the spying, but likely all of the other scandals that were swept under the rug like the mis-use of the IRS against political opponent groups).

If they try to prosecute Flynn on the Logan Act they must be fair and try Kerry and Obama both of whom are guilty as can be.

Looks like right now Judge Sullivan, who is presiding over the General Flynn criminal case, appears to be playing for time and is slow walking the case, hoping to delay it past the November election, believing that once Biden is elected, he will put the old Obama crew back in the DOJ allowing the criminal persecution of Flynn to continue to a final criminal conviction. Clearly the Democrats do not want Flynn with all criminal charges dropped, out there during the run-up to the November election, telling his story, releasing a book, and laying out a lot of the old Obama-Biden Administration bones regarding that Administration’s dealings with Islamists in the Middle East that many will recognize was not in America’s long term national interests.

A quintet of unmasked white tweens, oblivious to Covid social distancing, has been plastering our neighborhood with flyers. (snip) Back in the day, I thought that the “black owned” sobriquet was ironic, if not inflammatory. What was the message? If you have to riot, please burn whitey, not black Americans. Of course, we now know arsonists, black or white, are morons. Still, when America goes pyric or suicidal, it’s usually local vigilantes that torch the hood. Nevertheless, the “black owned” tagging is still alive and well midst the smoke of 2020.

America watches while radical leftists and aggrieved blacks riot, loot, and commit acts of violence up to murder in cities across the country. And more galling than that is the lack of effort by responsible public officials to stem the mayhem. Indeed, more than a few Democrat mayors and governors, when they are not actually encouraging the riots, make excuses for those participating in it. (snip) This is not going on unnoticed by what I'll call the 'silent majority.' They are silent because the media does not report on them. And if a reporter did ask, most would be reluctant to share their true feelings with the fake media

Many Americans understand that the riots aren’t righteous protests but are, instead, leftist activism aimed at destabilizing America and (the activists hope) destroying Trump’s chance at reelection. Still, people found shocking a video showing police in Buffalo pushing an old man to the ground where he lay with blood pouring from his ear. Don’t believe everything you see, though. The old man was a leftist activist looking for trouble and may have staged the whole thing. If one views the video in a vacuum, it’s awful.

Ret. Marine General James Mattis, who served as Trump’s Defense Secretary, resigned over a year ago, but has apparently been nursing a grudge since then. Last week, he took to the pages of the left-wing Atlantic magazine to air that grievance. Mattis revealed a small mind. His facts were wrong, and his arguments foolish and simplistic. The Democrat media, of course, celebrated the article despite its fundamental flaws. Retired Marine Captain John M. Dowd, however, decided that he wasn’t going to sit there and take that nonsense, so he struck back.

Nothing better reveals the depth of the madness afoot in the land than the demands to defund or completely abolish the police. It’s bad enough for airhead celebrities, something worse for the formerly prestigious New York Times, and downright alarming for office holders, state and federal to indulge the fantasy that thin blue line is all the separates us from anarchy, mob rule, and ultimately a dictatorship spawned by the need to restore order. One of the more disturbing images to emerge in the past few days has been of police officers and National Guardsman kneeling – effectively bowing down – before the mob. These men and women who represent the forces of law and order claim that they are kneeling in solidarity, but what they're doing looks remarkably like surrender. The reason they are doing so is almost certainly because they believe the Big Lie that leftists are selling -- namely, that law enforcement is causing a black “genocide.” While it's true that there is black genocide in America, it’s not coming from law enforcement. It’s coming straight from Planned Parenthood

Michigan’s Governor Gretchen Whitmer has become a laughingstock for imposing draconian lockdown restrictions on her constituents while her own family violates them. Her husband was caught red-handed demanding special treatment because of his wife’s office in violating her restrictions on boating and use of vacation houses, something she first lied about and then tried to pass off as a joke. But yesterday, she topped herself and uttered a phrase that should live on as her emblem of indifference to the suffering of those whom she oppresses. Like the final generation French aristocrats before the revolution, she causally revealed her cluelessness of the misery of those she oppresses.

Contrary to what we’ve been told to expect from a black woman, though, Yumga did not go to support the protest. It was highly unusual for the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals to order Judge Emmett Sullivan to explain his refusal to grant General Michael Flynn’s motion to dismiss. That made it easy to miss that it also allowed the Department of Justice the right to file a brief supporting its petition. Sullivan filed his pathetic and dishonest brief on Monday. The DOJ’s brief, however, is filled with devastating facts and entirely on-point legal authority. What makes it even more compelling is its front page, which is weighted with the names of big guns. The DOJ is taking this matter very seriously.
