Drew Brees does not believe he is the “enemy.” The Saints quarterback apologized for his comments on Wednesday, when he told Yahoo Finance that he would never support players who kneeled during the national anthem. The comments were quickly rebuked by Brees’ teammates, others in the NFL, athletes like LeBron James and some New Orleans residents. “I would like to apologize to my friends, teammates, the City of New Orleans, the black community, NFL community and anyone I hurt with my comments (Wednesday). In speaking with some of you, it breaks my heart to know the pain I have caused. In an attempt to talk

I’m so sad that he felt the need to apologize for his love of his country and its flag. He is entitled to his feelings and his opinion, whether others agree with him or not. Drew is a stand-up guy, and I’m sure he meant no disrespect to his teammates or to the Floyd family.

I knew it was only a matter of time before Brees would be forced to do this. It's Mao's Cultural Revolution all over again...but here. Anyone who doesn't kneel/bow before the official orthodoxy will be punished and maybe banished. In a few years, maybe beheaded.

Pretty sad that Brees had to let his pr people frame an apology to protect the team. What he said originally was correct, but people who dumped on him for his words are locked into blm even though they have never faced any discrimination. Americans have expended trillions of $ to give minorities a "leg up" in all areas of American life, but they still feel bad, and one of their leaders is now asking for 14 trillion more. They need to get a life.

Drew, you didn't hurt anyone. It's a big show. It just a big virtue signalling show. None of these screaming, shreiking, insane people are in danger. There are not packs of white thugs hunting blacks in the streets. There are not millions of evil black hating police just looking for an opportunity to kill black people. All this fake outrage and real hatred is based on fake news spread by a malicious communist media that apparently is bent on starting a race war because they a) hate President Trump and b) hate America. They desire a race war for the same reason Manson wanted Helter Skelter, power and control.

This has to stop. Last week I unsubscribed from some Facebook pages that covered educational topics because the authors of those pages said they were going to hunt down and expose as racists to employers subscribers who did not agree with their opinion on the riots. Those who the author was going to hunt down had simply asked that the forum stayed focused on education and not on politics.

The reason he must apologize is because those big linemen who could prevent a career ending blind-side hit with a well placed block will be inclined to "not see him coming" and there goes Drew's playing days. This is nothing but thuggish behavior. When whitey did these things to coloreds it was awful, but now that coloreds, with assistance from Roger Goodell, it now appears to be "social justice" and branded, "OK" by the leftist media pigs. The only problem with this is that we're a nation of patriots with a volunteer citizen militia, and this flies in the face of that. Societies don't like contradictions, so something must get changed. Since football is a dying sport that is totally dependent on cash to survive, it cannot win. Americans will turn away in even greater numbers, and begin subscribing to safer, less politicized sports, like hockey, rugby, golf, curling, etc. instead. Message to Team Owners: You'd best FIRE Roger Goodell and end this corrosive anti-American thuggish behavior, while you still have the teams to run.

FTA: "In speaking with some of you, it breaks my heart to know the pain I have caused." Pure garbage; no one's in any kind of pain. Someone's elevated People of Color (black people specifically) to be the new bullies and the social mores of our times require the rest of us to kneel down before them, literally. Have they no shame? Have we no pride? And why is is that no other minority group, regardless of skin color, has problems functioning, let alone flourishing, in the USA?

This is not America. People are being destroyed for their opinions through outright lies and social pressure. All built on subjugation and domination. Watched Steve King get trashed by the corrupt republican House leadership, Cheney and McCarthy, over a NYTs interview that was twisted to make him look like a racist or bigot. He never taped the interview but the NYTs did. They have yet to release the tape. His career is over. This has to stop.

"I’m not the ‘enemy"... Of course you are, Drew hasn't figured that out? Now he is acting like the white boys who gave the thumbs up to the thugs on parade that responded with rocks through his windows. A Jew cheering for a NAZI parade or a black man cheering for the Klan marching past with torches wouldn't make made either of them any safer. That's not how this works. The police that protect our communities aren't the enemy either. But Drew is only making a stand for himself now, not America. It won't work.

#12 - "...require the rest of us to kneel down before them, literally." I saw a video a few nights ago on CTH's "Anger Games" thread, posted by a commentator. It has disturbed me for several days. I tried to find it again, but can't remember what night. The video is being taken by a black SJW man in the middle of the day. It starts with his commentary as he walks down a NYC street. A white woman, dressed like she's going out for a "run", exits an apartment building and he engages her with a question. He begins to chastise her for "white privilege" and demands she atone by kneeling down in front of him. She knelt down in front of him! He continued to ask her questions about the level of her "wokeness" and she answers him! After a few minutes it finally dawns on her that she is being publicly humiliated and she gets off her knees, apologizes that she really must be going and walks down the street. The SJW "educated" blacks are using the old KKK tactics of subjugating another race. As for me, I kneel only to my Lord Jesus Christ.

Sorry that Drew didn't have the balls to stand for his opinion but caved to black agenda. The slogan Black Lives Matter is everywhere yet no one in the media will ever ask the question....do Black Lives Really Matter or only certain black lives when the circumstances help the agenda? In Chicago about 400 black lives each year are taken by other blacks in shootings. About the same number in Baltimore. Killings occur every day and especially at night with black on black shootings in most every major metro in the country. Look up the stats. Now, there is no protest, no riots, no looting, no pontification from the NAACP, SCLC and every other alphabet laden black organization. So, Ladies and gentlemen of the jury.. do Black Lives Really Matter or only those that enhance and highlight the agenda?

RumbleHog (#10) you Nailed it. I would add: Remember that NFL (National Felons League) game where Brett Favre was playing for Minnesota and the so-called 'Saints' had a $10,000 bounty for the player that injured Favre badly enough so that he would have to leave the game? (and they DID!) I would wager that some of 'the Boyz' gave Drew Brees 'the Word', that unless he grovels sufficiently to satisfy the 'Brothers', that his next NFL game will be his LAST. Brees seems to me to be a good guy, but the organization for which he works... not just one franchise, but the whole thing, nationwide, that once had people one could look up to, has become.... how to say it?...... an enclave of greatly overpaid THUGS. "National Felons League" says it pretty well.

Once you understand the larger objectives, everything becomes a sequence of predictable events. The term “community policing” has been used for several years by groups advocating for radical changes to law enforcement; however, behind the innocuous phrase is really a much more serious agenda. If each community can determine the enforcement of law, then essentially all communities can eliminate the underlying law itself. Remove local enforcement of law and the local community can independently assemble a social structure separate from all other binding contracts that frame a larger societal compact.
