President Trump faces the greatest challenge of his very eventful life, and also an immense opportunity to silence his detractors. Not since Charles de Gaulle faced a prolonged general strike in France in 1968 has the leader of a large Western democracy faced something so closely approximating an insurrection as the situation President Trump faces now.
(Snip) there is almost always overwhelming support for the legitimate government as long as it restores order with no more force than is necessary and in the impartial national interest. (Snip)President Trump’s challenge is less complicated—apart from the declining but still lingering pandemic—as public opinion is almost unanimous in opposition both to police brutality

The outrage of Floyd's death WILL occur again. It is the result of Tin Badge Sherrifs indulging their "power". It is the result of Tin Badge city counsellors and mayors doing likewise. It is the result of Tin Badge Governors …..
All politics is local. The Tin Badges will roll on in if you let them. VOTE and pay attention to who you vote for.

Yes, all rational people are disgusted by what happened to Floyd, but this violence and destruction is not about him. Can we not have a pundit write a story without repeating the virtue-signaling about Floyd, as if this violence is somehow understandable? The forces of evil that are against America, the Constitution, and democracy seize upon these acts of a single individual, especially law enforcement, to implement their war against us. Make no mistake, we are in a war for our country.
The violence and destruction dishonor Floyd. It dishonors all the criminals participating in this mess. It does nothing for Floyd, and even hardens any feelings against the looters and brick throwers. We see who they are on TV. They don't care about Floyd.

ALL cases of police brutality and subsequent out of control violence has originated in deep blue conclaves. This is not a coincidence and it WILL occur again. We just have to be prepared to push back responsibility and more importantly consequences where they belong. Democrats do it and Trump pays MUST stop. That is the biggest challenge.

It is really difficult for President Trump (or any conservative) to work through these problems with almost the entire media squad fighting him on everything. Bringing the country together would happen much sooner if the media were less biased and more honest journalists in favor of a great America. They have an agenda, and it is not a fair and successful country if it means Donald Trump gets it done.

This quit being about Floyd days ago. If you still think it is about him, you are a sucker.

Conrad, nice piece, but I see that you are once again careful not to shame your profession which has inflamed and worsened the rioting. Why no discussion of professional responsibility among you and your ranks? Oh, I forgot, the msm hates Trump. The end justifies the means, right?

I normally agree with Conrad, but he’s off base. This has been going on for decades. The democrats, The Left, The Media, have sowed the seed of racism and division. They have fanned the flames of riots, arson, injury, death, and destruct. These are not protests. These are insurrections propagated Blue state governors and mayors who have the support of the overwhelming majority of their constituents. These are criminals, Antifa, and other lowlife taking advantage of Mr. Floyds murder. And they accuse the President of inaction on one hand and fascism on the other. This time let those in charge of their burning cities stop their citizens from incinerating their cities. Note, they haven’t requested help from the President. This time let the blue demagogues wiggle their way out. Otherwise, it will happen again, soon.

Someone on talk radio on Sunday evening said most of this rioting is from areas where democrats have been in charge for years. Police are led by blacks. Attorney generals are black. City leadership is black. Inhabitants are mostly black. So if there are problems with policemen or sheriff deputies, they are hired by the blacks. If there are problems, why haven't the blacks in leadership taken care of the problems?

We support Pres. Trump because he is faithfully fulfilling his oath of office to us, the American citizens and this country! We watched 8 years of the press and the dems ruthless attacks against Pres. Reagan and now we are suffering through years of such hateful attacks and worse again against Pres. Trump. The dem pols and the radical dem press is trying to isolate the President from the people by not reporting his many positive actions & policies every day and by sifting, spinning and misinterpreting his EVERY word. We are saddened that the dem part has emerged themselves in the hate & violence of socialist tyranny!
But then, history will record that Trump, like Reagan, is one of the best leaders America ever had because he is faithful to his oath. Freedom will be preserved by such faithful leaders, not the hate filled anarchists under the spell of the left!
