Las Vegas Sheriff Joseph Lombardo told a press briefing an officer was shot around 11 p.m. Monday night and is in critical condition and on life support at University Medical Center.Lombardo said officers were dealing with a large group of rioters at a George Floyd protest near the Circus Circus hotel-casino when the officer went down.Rioters were allegedly throwing rocks and debris at the officers before the officer was shot, KTNV Las Vegas reports.“Our officers were attempting to take rocks and bottles from the crowd,” said Lombardo during the press conference.

More centralized government and democratic socialism makes it ok to do these things. Obama set the stage and made it perfectly acceptable to murder policemen in cold blood. Send a message he said. Message received.

FTA: “Our officers were attempting to take rocks and bottles from the crowd,”
Well, there's your problem right there, Sheriff. Letting your officers be free-for-all target practice for various weapons isn't a great strategy for quelling a riot. It's only a matter of time before the weapons used are a bigger problem than rocks and bottles.

And if this cop dies, there will be no memorial for him. That would be anathema and would be perceived as creating more chaos. God help us!!

Are policemen just collateral damage now? How can the murder of police and business owners be considered retribution? Many lives for a life? This is insane!

The suspect in the 2nd incident is dead. The vermin that executed the cop is in custody but still breathing.

i say the score is even. George is now St.George. A policeman in California, dead. 1. A business man in Dalles. dead.2. A policeman in Vegas. in critical condition.3. A child. died in a house these protestors set on fire. Then blocked the firetruck, causing the innocent child to die. 4. Thats 4 to 1.
score settled. Shoot to kill. ask questions later.

They’re pushing hard for mass violence As a run-up to the election. They need to be put down hard.

If I were driving the firetruck and knew that the burning house had a child in it, so help me I would have run over ANYONE who tried to stop the firetruck. And if I was in a really foul mood, after the fire was being extinguished, back the truck up and run over them again !
This seems to be the ONLY THING these rioters understand. Speeches by 'officials' saying 'the rioting & violence has to stop' accomplishes NOTHING. This not going to stop with speeches or hollow threats ( that's what they are ) of incarceration.
I know. This is what they want. The creation of martyrs in large numbers to be used as a club to bludgeon society into what ? 'Free' money ? Rebuilding of all burnt neighborhoods that were intentionally set ablaze ? What ? I don't think ANYTHING that could be offered would mollify or stop them. NOTHING offered would ever be 'enough'. These thugs are using a tragic death as an excuse to rob, pillage, burn & destroy anything and everything in their path.
It has got to stop but offering tea and cookies isn't going to do it. I'm not sure what will. Well, actually I do have a few ideas but they make what I said above look like and church picnic.

Police should not take rocks, bottles, bricks, bombs, weapons, etc from rioters. They need to ask them 'pretty please, may I have'. That is the problem in a nutshell. When FORCE is required, the police are mandated to suck it up and be P.C.. BULL. One warning shot, no acquiescence, deadly force. That's the da*n answer to end riots. Police in many cities have been shot because of this passive response to anarchy. Lives destroyed, etc. you all know what has occured.

Remember all the used military gear and all the SWAT teams around the country? Are they only used for wrong address harassment of innocents or when someone phones in a 'tip?' In case the rat leaders haven't noticed this is a WAR. Lethal force isn't subdued by getting on your knees and trying to be a 'buddy' to people who close highways and assault anyone who dares to drive on them. Oh, I forgot the highways were CLOSED by foolish police and more foolish politicians who have suddenly decided the mob has a new right to take over any street or building they want to. The murder of police is what happens when you do that. OVERWHELMING force has a way of preventing violence because the useful tools hesitate when it looks like they might have to pay a heavy price in pain vs getting a cheap shot off at someone or smashing a window.
More important than the street level tactics is the high level search for the leaders and generals of these attacks. I hope that effort is a lot more serious than what city police forces are doing.

I am going to say this again. No LEO should have to leave home not knowing if some idiot is going to spit on them, cuss at them, shoot them or run over them with a car and they will never go home again. The ignorance and lack of respect in this country is overwhelming. G-d save US all. To think people enjoy this mayhem.
Cookies For Cops, take some to your local station.

I was appalled by the conduct of the Minneapolis police officer that led to the death of George Floyd, and I know for a fact that the vast majority of law enforcement officers share that sentiment. Police officers are now being collectively called "racists" and "murders". Officer's attempting to quell this insurrection have been viciously attacked across the country. Crowds chant to "death to cops" and they torch police vehicles. To collectively assume that all officers are racist murderers is akin to assuming all African Americans are looters and thugs. It's not true, and we all know it!
