For once, Nike is telling its fans “Don’t Do It.” But the twist on its famous slogan is for a good cause: a public service announcement tackling racism in the wake of the death of George Floyd, which has led to protests throughout the country. Instead of the athletic company’s famed, “Just Do It” slogan, the short Instagram video begins with the words, “Don’t Do It.”
“For once, Don’t do It. Don’t pretend there’s not a problem in America. Don’t turn your back on racism. Don’t accept innocent lives being taken from us. Don’t make any more excuses. Don’t think this doesn’t affect you.

I thought they were talking about rioting, and almost had a positive thought about Nike for a change. I guess not. Oh well, maybe they can burn down a Nike store next.

At first I thought it , Great!. They are going to say "don't burn down your own community, But No. They put out a video that puts fuel on the fire. It attempts to justify the phony outrage for rampant racism without any facts! And I thought I couldn't detest Nike anymore than I already did.

So by "Don't do it" they meant "Don't NOT do it"?

Don't be responsible. Don't talk to your fellow men about what you have in common, rather than your differences. Don't question narratives that seek to lay stereotypes on police officers, while at the same time excusing the bad behavior of criminals who incite violence and destroy property. Above all, don't laugh your fool heads off when it is suggested that Colin Kaepernick's kneeling stunt and the pearls of wisdom bestowed upon us by various athletic brain trusts have helped minority communities in this country to reach their God-given potential.

Like the rest of us, I thought it was going to be an attempt to quell the looting, arson and thieving. Racism in America? Blacks are making new ‘racists’ every day by this sort of violent, uncivilized behavior. Maybe not racists but certainly people who believe that the black race has become a criminal race. And now the woke morons at Nike are fanning the flames.

I say again, their whole philosophy is summed up in six letters, LOSERS, standing for Legacy Of Slavery Excuses Racial Savagery.

There are two societies in America -- those who just know there's a racist behind every street sign in America and and those who look at their life experience and say, "what are you talking about?"

Don't buy Nike shoes. Nike's world campus is here in a suburb of Portland, where Antifa reigns supreme. Possibly Nike is trying placate the fascists before they start burning the sparkling billion dollar facilities.

I work retail. I'm amazed at the people who will only buy Nike clothes. They are more expensive. Kids will outgrow them in a season.
(All the Nike clothes get 'security tags.')

I'm just checking in to see who really cares to be lectured to by a shoe mfgr? We've been through this with that funny-haired so-called football player. This is plowed ground! Cobbler, stick to your last!

I'm with #6. These protesters are reinforcing the stereotype that many people have of their race. Their actions are not making friends or influencing people. Their goal seems to be to increase the number of racists in the country so they can continue to whine, complain, and destroy.
I know I have to make a very conscious effort to remind myself of all the really wonderful black citizens that we have in this country who are most likely as appalled by these events as we are.

Judging from some video I was just looking at, it's "Don't bother paying for our shoes".
