Each day that the Obama administration fades into the past, its wrongdoings manage to wander back into the present.
After years of suppression, all sorts of strange events keep popping up to remind us of what little is left of the Obama years — the Susan Rice memo, Christopher Steele deleting his computer records, FBI-doctored and lost 302s, text messages wiped clean, the bizarre Obama January 5, 2017, Oval Office meeting, the ambush interview of Michael Flynn, the unmasking and leaking of redacted names swept up in reverse-targeting surveillance operations, the administration fraud perpetrated on the FISA courts. The list

I hope VDH has eyes in the back of his head.
No one can lay it out like he does!

I admit - a few of the VDH pieces of late have seemed a bit choppy to me but when he threads a dozen needles in a row he is untouchable.
The pushers of a phony Obama nostalgia still claim that he was intelligent, organized, fair-minded, effective, charismatic, influential. In fact, the political devastation he wrought merely by being his vainglorious self is evident and long-lasting. Indeed, those who preceded and outlasted him in the Dem leadership are the 80 year old Pelosi with her bizarre melted tallow-candle visage and Chuck Schumer who insists on delivering his unchanging gloomy speeches in that unchanging monotone - usually because he's never laid eyes on his speech copy until the moment he delivers it. They pretend the years 2008-2016 never happened for two reasons: 1) nothing really happened except the force-feeding of Obamacare and 2) Obama hogged the DC spotlight which they regard as bad form.
As one WSJ commenter succinctly put it, the question regarding Obama is simple: fool or knave?
'Both' is a valid response. Virus-panic governors have had a scant few months of unalloyed media adulation and laid waste to their own states. Obama had a minimum of 10 YEARS (2 terms + 2 years of campaigning) of media hosannas.
He literally believed he could do no wrong and he believed this halo effect applied to all the corruptocrats, toadies, and chancers under his watch.

Ego, arrogance, and incompetence is a bad combination and BO had all in abundance. He surrounded himself with similar people. The plan was to stop Trump by any means possible and then President Hillary would bury the mess. Hillary crashed and burned. Imagine their panic. Their efforts had been sloppy because they didn't think they could possibly get caught. Now they had to double down and chase Trump from office and trip up any of his people, like Flynn, who might expose them. The damage they did was massive but they didn't have the control they had before and now needed. Slowly they failed, again and again. Slowly their schemes have been exposed. And for every setback they dug themselves in deeper and lost more power as people were exposed and fired. Now indictments are on the way (we desperately hope). I suspect that BO is beyond full accountability but the rending of his scheming and holding his people accountable will destroy him and likely the dems as well. The Country already sees Trump's success and knows BO was an incompetent failure. Soon they will know he lead a criminal endeavor beyond imagining. Soon BO will be a pariah. It is a pathetic god that no longer has any worshipers. That is what mattered to BO, the worship. He has been prosepring by selling his brand. His brand will become worthless. A just commentary on the man.

At least Jimmy Carter can rest in the knowledge that most of us no longer believe HE was the worst US President ever.

Maybe no one will go to jail, but what a summary of a criminal enterprise and the threat they pose to the republic.

VDH’s well written article about the multiple failures and incredible lawlessness of Obama has one flaw, which is that few if any Democrats view Obama as a failure, a liar and the head of a criminal enterprise. If anything, Democrats view Obama as too moderate, too cautious in imposing a one party socialist regime on the US. A regime committed to affirmative action, to LGBTQ rights, to open borders, to a federal police state focused solely on eliminating the opposition, an anti-fossil fuel country and an anti capitalist state, if you come across any Democrat who views Obama as a failure, a liar or a corruptor of the federal bureaucracy, as detailed by VDH, it will be very rare.
The article overlooks fact that Obama’s equally corrupt VP is about to be nominated. And that Biden is committed to expanding all of Obama’s faikires plus imposing the leftist dream of the Green New Deal.

Excellent article from beginning to finish. I vote Must-Read. I would love to see this article as the epilogue chapter to the Obama Years in all future history books.
