Amazon fired back at presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden late on Friday after Biden accused Amazon of not paying “its fair share.”
“I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: No company pulling in billions of dollars in profits should pay a lower tax rate than firefighters and teachers,” Biden tweeted. “It’s time for Amazon to pay its fair share.”
Included in Biden’s tweet was a link to a CNBC news article that highlighted remarks Biden had given on Friday morning during an interview with the publication.

It appears this senile old perv is never going to tire of making an a** of himself. Glad our side has someone to be proud of.

Like all 'progressives', he is mainly clueless about economics. Those 500,000 employees in the US are paying a lot of taxes into the US Treasury but the left never stops to think about the whole picture.

Those of US who pay taxes pay more than our fair share; that includes businesses. Businesses pay taxes, consumers pay taxes on products and services, we pay taxes for schools, we pay taxes on our earnings: if you have a home-based business, you pay for a business license that is priced based on the amount of money you make from that business (A TAX!!); if someone gives a substantial monetary gift, one or both of them pay taxes on the amount. When biden or anyone else speaks of paying a fair share, it doesn't make me angry at the "culprit" who doesn't pay; it makes me angry at the criminal tax system. I may have issues with Jeff Bezos and Amazon, but in this case, I empathize with them "not paying their fair share." Biden, the old hypocrite, should focus on paying his own fair share considering all that illegal money he's earned selling out the country. I'm pretty sure, with no evidence of my own to back it up, that members of the obama crime syndicate have ripped off and funneled billions of taxpayer dollars to themselves.

Once again, please define "fair share". If you can't, it is nothing more than a DNC talking point.

When the Eisenhower administration advanced black voting rights by passing a civil rights bill in '59 and appointing de-segregationist judges in district courts, Lyndon Johnson acknowledged that this left the Democrats with a problem, they could no longer rely on their segregation and Jim Crow politics of the past. In time, they came up with something, identity politics. It's kind of a wild card, one group can be played off against another in most any way. Here, Slow Joe is using Firemen to create a pose against the big, bad corporation, how noble.

dimocrats often argue with their own rules/ this is nothing new.
going back to the issue of DJT's income tax returns, I suspect he has done alot of no-tax real estate swaps, as many other developers do.
Here is a simple example for any CNN watcher who is reading this.
back during FDR's disastrous presidency, during the FDR depression, Congress sought a way to make farmers more efficient, and when they discovered that some farmers farmed parcels of land separated from the main part of their land, physicially, the tax code was changed so that real estate swaps could take place without payment of capital gains taxes due. In that way, each farmer, who swapped 100 acres of land, would be more efficient.
Let's move it to commercial real estate. Let's say a real estate magnate built a 1000 room hotel, depreciated it under the federal tax code down to zero. If he sold the potel, he would have to pay capital gains taxes on the sales price. If he swapped the hotel with another real estate magnate under the same circumstances, each would have a hotel that could be depreciated down to zero.
i believe the property swap tax provision still is in place.
does that make the real estate magnates bad people? for some voters, yes. Did any illegal tax avoidance take place? No.
which takes us to Bozo Bezos...and Old Jo Biden...;.

Corporate taxes are nothing more than a shell game. When a company pays more taxes it simply makes up the difference by charging more for products. We the people wind up paying all of a corporation's 'Fair Share'!

Joe Biden didn't come up with that statement because he's brain dead but still has an active mouth. The old fool was given that by someone who wrote it just to fire one across the bow of Amazon. Biden and his son cheat on their money laundering dealings all the time so shouldn't throw stones in this case because they might come back at Joey Fingers.

Brilliant, Joe. You certainly know how to divide a country. Barack taught you well. Right now most of us are using Amazon far more often than we are talking to teachers.

The democrat tax code is not written as just laws and regulations. It is designed for social engineering and punishment of those who successfully produce. All based on envy and jealousy. And buying votes of course. Remember the shock about 6 months after Reagan's trickle down regulations went into effect? Rush said that his sources were telling him that democrats were shocked at how much revenue those cuts produced.

Another dumbocrat taking a shot at Amazon. The last time someone did that New York lost 25,000 jobs. Not a good thing.

Let us not forget close to half of those with income don't pay a dime in income taxes because some commie thinks they don't make enough money - at least that's what they say, though it's pretty obviously an attempt to sew up their votes. Why should someone who doesn't pay in get a say in the elections? The founders had only property owners - those with actual skin in the game - voting a couple hundred years ago.
