President Trump  said Tuesday the fact that the United States has the most coronavirus cases in the world is a “badge of honor” because it shows how much testing the country is doing. While there are many factors at play when comparing how countries have fared in the coronavirus pandemic, public health experts say Trump’s explanation left out a key factor: The U.S. has so many cases because it was initially slow to respond to the outbreak and ramp up testing and other containment tools.

Because America is a greedy selfish country that it discriminates against gay people, blacks and Hispanics. Or maybe because America does more testing for the virus. Not sure yet.

Get a gander at the 'experts' Petey is using to push his propaganda. Harvard, Duke, and the New York Times. It's so interesting how the lefties are able to cherry-pick their 'facts' and totally ignore anything that contradicts their tiny belief system.

Here's my list of factors that drove the US numbers as high as they were. 1. JFK airport in close proximity to the large, dense population areas of NY and NJ 2. Widespread availability of senior living homes in the US relative to Europe and Asia that concentrated the most vulnerable populations in an environment where the virus could spread quickly especially when incompetent health officials failed to recognize the problem early on. 3. Incompetent government preparation despite years of warnings from independent medical experts that a pandemic was likely. This includes national laboratories like the CDC as well as state and local governments who have squandered vast resources on political patronage projects at the expense of prudent preparations to protect their citizens. 4. Political pressure that forced Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro out of the inner circle in the White House. Both of them were warning of the real threat from the Chinese virus in late December but were dismissed as crackpots and prevented from informing the President even earlier than he eventually was. 5. Emerging evidence that Chinese researchers in the Wuhan Virology Institute lab selectively altered the SAR-COV-2 virus to maximize its transmissibility in humans. PLA military researchers have also published peer reviewed papers in Nature describing how viruses could be modified to target specific ethnic populations. They were aware of the comorbidities of diabetes, hypertension, cardio vascular disease, and obesity that are very prevalent in subgroups of the US population. In other words, we were China's main target.

Why does the United States have the most reported CV cases? Because we are playing politics. Haven't heard much with regard how CV is effecting the rest of the world. Are any other countries reopening? Our media wouldn't report that. Don't hear anything about Italy or Spain anymore.

What kind of a stupid question is this? The US has higher numbers because the US has a larger population than other countries other than China and China lies. If you normalize the data per capita the US is lower than a number of other countries, especially in Europe. We are living in stupid times.

Journalists are pack animals. That’s especially true in Washington. Despite the hunger for scoops, when it comes to the substance of stories, few have the guts to go against the ideological groupthink that prevails in our nation’s capital. That’s what makes CBS’ Catherine Herridge so exceptional. In an era when too many network journalists slant their reporting to serve establishment opinion, Herridge sticks to the facts. Her dogged determination to get to the bottom of stories has made her an invaluable source on the national-security beat. Her sterling quality and integrity have also put a target on her back.

He blamed Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar of not heeding early warning about the virus

The passage of time can do wonders for historical memory, especially when it comes to politics. Consider the reputational evolution of three American presidents: Ulysses S. Grant, Dwight Eisenhower, and Ronald Reagan. Grant departed the WhFDRite House in 1877. For pretty much the entire 20th century, the received wisdom held that his administration was a corrupt failure. Today, we are awash in books extolling Grant’s hitherto underappreciated greatness. Eisenhower’s rehabilitation did not take quite so long. In 1962, the year after he left office, one survey of scholars ranked him in the bottom half of American presidents.

Stay-home orders that extend too long could cause the U.S. “irreparable damage,” Dr. Anthony Fauci warned Friday. Strict crackdowns on large gatherings and other orders, such as for home quarantines, were needed when the coronavirus first hit the nation, but those rules can now begin to be lifted in many parts of the country, Fauci said during an interview on CNBC. “I don’t want people to think that any of us feel that staying locked down for a prolonged period of time is the way to go,” the member of the White House coronavirus task force said.

Every state and local politician who imposed lockdowns pursuant to the COVID-19 pandemic claimed their decisions were based on “the science.” In reality, they ignored the advice of leading epidemiologists, relying instead on statistical models produced by “experts” with histories of wildly inaccurate projections. The most notorious of these oracles was, of course, Neil Ferguson of Imperial College London, who claimed that coronavirus could kill 2.2 million Americans. Based on such apocalyptic predictions, combined with overcautious warnings from Beltway bureaucrats like Dr. Anthony Fauci, all but a few governors implemented economically destructive stay-at-home orders — despite the reservations of respected epidemiologists who questioned the logic of lockdowns from the beginning.

There are so many angles to the FBI-Michael Flynn imbroglio, and most have been covered in great depth across a divergent set of viewpoints. But one aspect that has not been covered, and that opens up a wider lens into FBI policy, is the fact that the FBI refuses to audiotape, much less videotape, interviews of witnesses or suspects such as Flynn. That policy is counterproductive and makes no sense in 2020. The FBI needs to take itself out of the J. Edgar Hoover era and align itself with modern law enforcement best practices.
