A friend, who thinks politically as we do here, phoned this morning after just hearing Barr's comments doubting that Obama or Biden would be criminally prosecuted. We both would love to see it, but consider how destructive the Dems' legal efforts to get Trump to testify so they could prosecute him have been for the past three years, and then imagine what could happen if the precedent were set to prosecute future presidents of either party. Such a spectacle would draw worldwide attention and obliterate everything else our country needed to be doing that would have more impact on our country's, and even the world's, future.

So, the world gets to see that "Law and Order" America is powerless to stop a coup and extreme harassment against its duly elected president AND it is powerless to stop a corrupt administration from illegally spying on U.S. citizens.
Yeah, that's a good outcome for the future not to mention instilling so much citizenry trust in our legal system. /s

The precedent has already been set dummy. Only republicans will be put before a tribunal. Where do these "conservative thinkers" come from. A Facebook Blog in a basement is my guess. Fool.

I read the comments before the article, and expected to be mad at the author. However, after reading the piece, I agree. Don't give the leaders the chance to defend themselves in court - go after the henchmen. Obama is already sounding panicked in his recent media releases - imagine what he will sound like when his minions start to turn state's evidence.

You know the dems are talking about impeaching President Trump again. (guess that won't draw worldwide attention). Probably just before the election. What is wrong with Barr? If someone has broken the law, they have to pay for it - just like everyone else.

Just have Trump pardon them - a blanket pardon. It will forever taint their tenure in office.

So pursuing a sitting president, legally, as in impeachment is ok but pursuing a president who obviously broke the law, after leaving office is not? Ok, at least we understand the dichotomy. Obama and his commie cronies must be lmao. The only solace we have is that nithing the dumb commies tried worked. Democrats just dont know how to get rid of someone they don't like.lol.

I agree with the author. I mostly want awareness of what Obama and Biden were up to just like the Ukrainian/Hunter Biden deal. I never really thought anyone would be arrested or put behind bars but the awareness of the deceit and corruption on behalf of Obama and Biden is sweet.
Of course, I am cognizant of the fact that the other side won't hesitate to put someone behind bars. . .
God does tell us to be very aware. I am taking God's advice.

Going after ex-President Trump after he leaves office in 2024 will be the FIRST thing the Dems do once they get back in power. I agree in principle that it's a bad idea but to argue that it sets a precedent is stupid. The Dems are the least principled out there and will do it with or without precedent.

Instead of apologizing to Mexico for ex-president Obama and company, offer to extridite Obama along with his minions to address the F&F issues in person. And "if" found guilty do the time in the same stinking prison cell that he left the Marine veteran Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi to rot in.

The Left will pursue Trump even after he leaves office. They've been trying to get his pore-president tax returns but heaven forbid anyone even have a second thought ab out any of shadiness in Obama's past. Barr should have just come out and said that no way will the First Black President ever be investigated or prosecuted for any illegal behavior while in office. Why do you think the Dems are pushing Biden to pick a black VP?

I don't care as long as Obama shuts his droning pie hole stays out of Washington too ashamed to show his ugly face.
Obama is a low IQ idiot too stupid like Hillary Clinton to plan this plot I would rather see the coup plotters prosecuted and sent to prison that's the real criminals in this treasonous act. Brennan first followed by McCabe and Storzk.
It would be never ending world drama not worth the time lost that our President could be doing work for the people. I would take payback for time lost on the coup attempt, investigations and impeachment rewarding the President with extended time stolen from him with two years added to his four after 2020 providing the election isn't stolen by voter fraud.

Ah, but he didn’t say they would not be prosecuted. He didn’t say he “doubted” they would be prosecuted. He said that he didn’t expect it. That is as of now. He put out a straw, Many grabbed on to it. We’ll see.

Just hang both of them in the middle of the night and tell the rest of the world to go to hell. America will always be hated anyway. We had no problem executing Epstein, Seth Rich, and others. It's the results that count.

I'll be content with a healthy mix of disbarments, fines, and imprisonment for everyone involved below the VP level followed by civil suits from all the victims, Flynn down to Stone. Fines and awards to be paid from personal funds and not by the taxpayers. The former resident and his sidekick will be tarnished for life, supported only by a handful of media diehards.

Just let everyone under Obama-Biden feel the heat, be involved in the conspiracy, and it will ultimately smear the entire administration.
Focusing on Obama, in particular, will only force too many to dig-in, regardless of the information they're hearing.

#6 is on to something.
Trump should assert, repeatedly, that if they were convicted he would pardon them. That way even if they’re never prosecuted the idea that they should have been will be implanted in people’s minds.
Sort of like killing with kindness.

No Barr is not right. An investigation should follow the evidence wherever it leads. We do not begin an investigation with a predicate that we will not charge anyone. It looks like we do. That is not equal application of the law. Please respond, AG Barr, and explain. Barr has not released a single document. Has done what he was put there for, which is to let everything die on the vine. I have no respect for the DOJ, FBI, CIA, NSA, or the government.

Trump could pull an all-time, awesome troll on this.
He should go on national TV and announce that they have irrefutable proof that Barack Obama illegally spied on his campaign and that Joe Biden was aware and was complicit in this illegal activity.
But out of great respect that he has for the great Constitution and the Office of the Presidency, he is hereby bestowing a full pardon for former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Joe Biden (no D.C. jury would ever convict anyway)
But those pardon applies to only these 2 individuals. And to all those who were part of these illegal activities, we are coming with the full weight of the law for you.

So much for the fiction that "no one is above the law" . Let's lay that one to rest. If there is ever going to be any justice, it will not come from within our illegitimate government. It will come from direct citizen action.

Good luck getting a Washington D.C. federal district court judge to allow into evidence any testimony or other evidence against Obama, let alone finding a jury to convict Obama. What's everyone smoking?
I guess they could go after Biden and make him plead insanity.

I don't care what anybody says, obama and biden need to go to jail. obama needs to be locked up at Gitmo. I'll settle for biden in a killing field nursing home. They are guilty as sin and should not be allowed to get away Scott free based on how someone things we'll look to the rest of the world. That's crap!

I'm with those who agree with the writer. Prosecuting them would not end with just results, but with the years-long political circus Mr. (Ms.?) Random describes.
Being guilty is one thing. Proving it in a D.C court to an O.J. jury through a long combative process (which the country does not want) is quite another.
Barr and Durham want to do the right thing within the parameters of what is practically possible. That's enough for me. Let's just focus on getting Trump re-elected and retaining control of the senate.
