Flexing unearned influence has exposed the thirst for control of their citizens.
In Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf caught a whiff of his constituents working up the desire to step out and start living their lives once again. The idea of citizens exerting their freedoms and basking in the normalcy of liberty was too much for him to stand. On Monday he sent out a tweet storm, delivering a series of firm commands of how he intends to clamp down on those who might dare get the idea of doing things.

d'rats, so besotted with power, fail to remember their actions are seen by any US citizen who has two eyes open. Just as their 'projections' were mirrored to reflect on them: "NO PRESIDENT" is above the law"; their tyranny will be recorded for future generations to view. Believing they have transformed America, caution is thrown to the wind. Little do they realize, the projection weapon has not been patented and can be used by anyone - even the non elites or 'the deplorable', Himself.

I agree, they are over playing their hand again and is having a problem where to stop. The people have had it, both democrat and republicans. They will come out in force to vote these nuts out of office. I pray it's a red wave. The two special elections should have sent a message to the democrats.
What I think is happening, they want the Senate to look like bad guys and provide a skimpy stimulus. The democrat governors will continue to torture their constituents and kill their economy. They think that we will turn on the President. It is actually working in reverse. People are turning on the governors.

Voters are getting a real close-up look at what Democrat governance is like. Some minds will be changed, while others find childlike comfort in being told what to do. Those are the fools who still think their government cares about them. I’m betting that the first category prevails.

Dems thought the virus would allow them to take control . People are seeing a preview of coming attractions if the dems take over. From what I read & witness Trump is gaining votes from dems.

To add to unhappy residents of those Democrat states, they have to sit at home and watch clips, on TV, of the Republican states who opened May 1st and are thriving! They are saying, why can't we do the same! Every day they are forced to keep their businesses closed is a day they hate their governor more! I believe it will be a Red Wave in November. Those Democrat Governors won't know what hit them!!

And worse for the Ds are vote shredding issues in NY and another in California which should lose their vaunted "popular vote". Cuomo botched the WuFlu and continues to force NYers to get out of town. Meanwhile the (AB5) forced unionization of California free-lancers and independent contractors has cost thousands of jobs and angered victims to no end. The CA-25 flip last week was the first hint of what's coming.
It matters little how or where, Ds clearly are digging their own grave, using DjT as bullet proof protection. Surprise ! Schadenfreude will be sweet.

The Democrats/Progressives, led by Pelosi, are using the pandemic to extort their agenda and obstruct, obstruct, obstruct everything President Trump is trying to do to minimize the damage resulting from the lockdown. For the most part, the Democrats have acted like autocratic tyrants shredding the Constitution as they assume absolute power.
I sincerely hope the political backlash hits the Democrats like a freight train come November.

"Governments are instituted amongst Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed". This basic principles is not acceptable to Leftists no matter how much lip service they pay. College professors ,journalists, editors, politicians (and most unfortunately) judges have all come to regard that statement as a quaint, anachronistic sentiment that should be restricted to the history books. Whenever there is an opportunity such as presented by the current situation, this comes out. Can you imagine how things would have been if the Central Federal government was controlled by this sentiment? If this doesn't open your eyes, nothing will.

Probably force people to pay attention to who their governor is. Should make for real good campaigns against them. But there are millions of people who think this is OK.

Some people believe the Democrat governors are acting on marching orders from the national Democrat party. Note that the actions these Democrat activist governors are taking are out of desperation and not only sadistic but are incurring collateral damage, of their own kind(Democrats), on a large scale. The Chinese biological attack on the world certainly incurred collateral damage as well, assuming the U.S. was the real target. So what we have here are the Chinese and Democrats using the same type of tactics. It's no surprise. They don't care who gets in the way, as long as the enemy takes a fall. Neither Democrats nor China have a conscience.

At least five governors and a couple of mayors may not realize it but they will become unemployed when their terms are up. Trample on peoples' rights and even the thick-headed democrats will become upset enough to withhold their votes. The dem party loves to make predictions but they haven't a clue what's coming in November.

I live in the bluest of blue states, New Mexico, the governess Lujan Grisham is getting her orders from Pelosi. The problem is she would get elected again by the Mexican populace, it's all about name recognition and the old Santa Fe Ring from the old days of Billy the Kid is alive and well.

Who would you vote for during an emergency situation? An optimistic President Trump who has been out there working to overcome the Chinese novel corona virus and to prudently and safely re-open the country; or some doom and gloom leftist or liberal Democrat, at the moment, most likely Joseph Biden who obviously is suffering from some sort of an age related scrambled mind with declining cognitive abilities, who have been hiding in their basements.

Unfortunately Tommy Tyrant is not that far into his second term. I hope our voters remember his shenanigans when it comes time to vote for his successor.
The MSM is totally with him, of course. Yesterday our local rag did man on the street interviews asking people what they thought of our county's going yellow and no longer following the Tyrant's guidelines. Every person interviewed was confident that Tommy knows best and we should not open before he says it's OK. Everyone was content to sit and wait. Another "reporter" visited local parks and found no one in any of them. If you believe all that then I have a bridge.......
I have a friend who owns a salon; she opened for me yesterday so I could get a much needed haircut. On the way there I passed two parks whose parking lots were absolutely full with no empty spaces at all. I guess the reporters didn't travel to my end of the county.
Our paper calls itself "trustworthy". That being the case you'd think they'd include at least one or two dissenting viewpoints in order to preserve the illusion of trustworthiness. I guess they don't care anymore. The mask is off.

#2, it likely did send a message, and why they urgently passed their campaign bill.
They need to project to all of the public service employees that they are looking out for them FIRST, at everyone else's expense.
Think about how absurd their campaign bill is, it includes $1 TRILLION for state and local governments, but just the other day an 11-state pact out West, that included California said they alone needed "at least" $1 trillion just for them.
Which means Nancy and Company passed the bill before they read the bill, AGAIN.
My local paper even indicated their campaign bill is likely to actually costs closer to $3.5 trillion.
It includes ballot harvesting across the country, ensuring anyone here illegally is allowed to stay as long as the pandemic exists (it may never end). and all sorts of campaign promises.
They are looking out for their narrow, partisan, political interests ahead of the country.

This s the perfect time to discuss Sanctuary City policies. Democrat states such as Illinois, New York and California have Gold-plated pension systems for State Employees that are incompatible with their largesse toward Illegal Aliens. Not one penny for SALT for Marxist millionaires and billionaires.

Clearly the democrats want to use the pandemic to hamstring Trump but could they also be afraid that without these draconian restrictions Darwin would kill off the majority of democrat voters who can't understand the need to wash their hands and practice good hygiene?

I'm with #19, "We need more powerful words than 'stupid' and 'clueless.'" Using those words soften their motives and actions, giving traitors the cover of just not being too smart. These people are not dumb, they are committed to the communist ideal. They truly believe they are better than others because they are so much more evolved and advanced. They have achieved true human freedom by rejecting the ancient "Creation" myths and instead offer the creature as its own creator and mover of destiny.
Socialist-Communists are known for psychologically projecting their own motives. I suggest we simply use the vocabulary with which they are familiar. The easiest place to start would be using the adjectives they use for PDT; dictator, power-mad and the ever-popular, racist. We can resume our garden party manners after the thugs have been neutralized.

When they were children, they stayed after class to help the teacher clean off the black or white board. They wanted to be hall monitors so they could order other children to hurry to class and report those who dawdled. In college they visited their professors during office hours in order to say how amazing they were, and how much they loved their class. As employees they sucked up to the supervisor, backstabbed their rivals, and as bosses they became petty tyrants. Many of them sought lives in "public service," where they could preen on stage command others. They are the Democrats, now totally at home with tyranny.

There are a number of states opening up to the freedoms their citizens enjoyed prior to this pandemic crisis. The governors of those states have done so with the strictest of measures that have been laid out to follow. They trust their constituents to follow those orders while they are getting their lives back in order. Those states that still refuse to budge an inch, even to the point of arresting people that violate their orders, should be thrown out of office. Hopefully, that will occur come next election time.

Equally important race in Cali, Republican Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez won a special election Tuesday to fill a Southern California state Senate seat.
Me thinks the dems continue to dig the hole deeper every day and will pay for it in November so we can listen to them whine and complain as they have for the past 4 years.
