House Speaker Nancy Pelosi introduced another $3 trillion of spending as the Democrats’ latest response to the coronavirus pandemic. At over 1,800 pages, the mammoth legislation is a cynical left-wing wish not rooted in reality. It demonstrates that the Democrats are irresponsible and unfitted to govern at a time of crisis.
Some $2.9 trillion of spending already out the door means that by next year the federal debt is likely to be higher than the record set in World War II — a milestone that wasn’t supposed to be reached until over a decade from now.
Now, Pelosi wants to pile on another $3 trillion on top of that record profligacy.

No more stimulus!!!! If the Democrat Governors want to keep their states in a lockdown, then let them go broke. If we continue to give them money they will never reopen. In fact, pull back all federal funds provided to that state until they open up. Once open, then the federal government could reconsider funding them.

This bill is dead on arrival in The Senate. Not only that, we may find some democrats in the house that want to save their seat and will vote no on this monstrosity. But, that last part is a pipe dream. As usual the shock troops will march in lock step.

There is no reason for any of this.
We have declared a "medical emergency" based on a mistake. Testing a narrowly-selected sample from the highest risk groups was an idiotic way to predict danger from a disease. "Case Fatality Rate" is the number of people who test positive and then die. If you test mostly sick and elderly people, the CFR skyrockets because the sick and elderly are always more likely to die.
Even by that idiotic standard, all the early talk of a 5% "death rate" was nonsense. Nobody knew and everyone was still talking. The actual US mortality rate (number of people in a general population who die from this disease) is less than 0.05%. In Japan, with no mandatory lockdown, 700 people have died. That's 7-0-0 out of a 130 million people in an elderly, densely-urbanized population. That's a mortality rate of 0.0006%.
Since Covid-19 started, more Japanese people have committed suicide than have died from Covid-19. In the US, more people have been born than have died from Covid-19. By far. The numbers so far look like a bad flu season that disproportionately damages the elderly and the unwell.
This economic shutdown is the single biggest mistake human beings have ever made. When it's over, I want every "medical expert" who pushed for it pilloried. I want every state and local official who imposed it voted out. And I want every cop who enforced it prosecuted.
Enough.

Every time the House needs to submit a spending bill, they look like this. Add this to the fact that a real budget proposal has not been submitted in years, and the Nation's Debt looks the way it does. Both Houses need to be forced back within budgetary constraints, and the President needs the power of a line item veto.

Mitch, a few days after that: "We have an agreement with Speaker Pelosi. We aren't quite there with the votes needed."

Where did Nanie and her hoods get the time to prepare an 1,800-page bill full of socialist goodies when they should have been focused on the nation's pandemic and how to get the country's economy moving again?

Call me naive but how can the Speaker or any other Representative present legislation when the House isn't in session?

This headline, except for the huge dollar amount, has been true since I was born. If it flies, quacks or crawls the democrats are willing to throw our money at it.

That's the objective and my money's on Mitch eventually caving, especially when Presidents Fauci/Scarf decree mail in votes will save lives and of course, we all know it's worth it if even one life can be saved, right? (Rio LIndans, that last phrase was sarcasm).

The Pelosi bill is a deplorable example of extreme hypocrisy and abuse of power. The "heroes" that she wants to give money to include illegal aliens, lobbyists, and Democrat officials who have irresponsibly spent their states and cities into bankruptcy.
Democrats that support this travesty in the middle of this crises -- essentially all of them -- should be removed from office.

For a Democrat it’s all about power-gaining it and keeping it. It comes above all else; even what’s best for the people.

She was trained by those in office under the Obama regime, never let a crisis go to waste. There are things in this bill that have absolutely nothing to do with coronavirus response. The idea is to pile on the bill and have President Trump veto the bill. It won't get that far but if it does and Trump vetoes the bill then Pelosi and company will claim Trump is immoral, Trump doesn't care about the people, Trump is irresponsible etc. Make Trump look like the villain before the election.
