Mike Bloomberg-founded Everytown for Gun Safety is spending $8 million in hopes of turning Texas blue in the November 2020 elections.KRGV reports that Everytown already pledged the money and will, this Thursday, name “three staffers to help with its Texas campaign.”Everytown senior political adviser Charlie Kelly commented: “[Texas is] clearly emerging as a top battleground state — there’s just no question about it — and it’s why we’re investing $8 million in the state this cycle. Between the investment and our network of 400,000 grassroots supporters,

The downfall of any Red State is the infusion of Blue State transfers. The great economy in Texas is soon to be leeched on by leftist policies that continue to get more traction as more business move to Texas and bring the warped thinking with them. I would tell Mr Musk he could choose another state to relocate.

Once Texas and Florida turn blue, the chance of any Republican winning a Presidential election ever again are zero zilch nada.

I think people are forgetting that the more likely scenario is that Republicans are fleeing the blue states. I am a Republican and six couple friends of ours are all Republicans. We have fled Illinois and moved to red states like Indiana and Florida.

He spent ten times that to be humiliated by the Dems themselves. He should give that $8mil to his campaign workers, whom he's stiffed to date.

How much is a Bloomberg 'pledge' worth?

This lifelong Democrat turned Independent, then turned Republican to get himself elected mayor of NYC, then turned back to being a Democrat. The media kept referring to him a few months ago as a "former Republican." More like a snake in the woods.

Fifty eight million is a drop in the bucket compared to what George Soros has contributed to getting far left District Attorneys elected. Soros has spent millions to get liberal DAs and Judges elected.

Money can buy elections but eventually it reaches a point of diminishing returns. Hillary outspent Trump, but lost. Republicans can keep Texas red, but its going to take many people working 24x7. The Democrats will be able to mobilize lots of people in Texas. There is no substitute for hard work. The Republicans will have to outwork the Democrats. That's how Trump beat Hillary.

One of the best things about Michael Moore's new offering is exposing Bloomberg and Gates grifting off the renewable energy movement.
Surprise, suckers!

Sounds like a bunch of liberal New York carpetbaggers will be funded to go to Texas and tell Texans what they should be doing.

For that yankee trash to threaten Texas with this, I want to repurpose a popular anti-litter slogan and warn Bloomberg, "Don't Mess With Texas"
Rich yankee trash is still yankee trash. Some parts of Texas still reserve part of their garbage dump for carpetbagger carcasses.

NY has NYC; Illinois has Chicago; California has SF and LA; Texas has Dallas, El Paso, Houston, Austin, San Antonio - all blue cities. See a pattern here? Do you still think Texas can't turn blue?
