The movement that set the boundaries of what appropriate male/female interactions look like and finally held men accountable for crossing that line lost its righteousness this week.
Few social crusades have been as impactful as the #MeToo movement. Powerful men in all sectors were brought down by accusations of sexual impropriety, many without a semblance of due process.
But this past week some of the leading feminist figures in the nation lined up to endorse Joe Biden for president or to defend him against charges nearly identical to those used to crucify other men, most notably Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

It all depends on who is being charged for sexually abusing who. This movement is a joke.

It wasn’t a “religion,” it was a cult used as a political tool.

Feminism lost it's standing when they decided to support BJ Clintoon because he was a dem. Sure, the dems gave them lip service but they lost their broad platform to speak for women in the Country because reasonable people saw their hypocrisy. They had started to gain some credibility as they stood up to Weinstein and other well known figures, some even saying that their support of BJ was a mistake. Now, they face the same challenge again, their ideals or politics, and they are failing again.
That's not to say their extreme "movement" has a firm foundation. #BelieveAll Women is absurd. Women come with all the foibles that men have but express them in different ways. An angry guy might punch you in the nose. An angry woman may start a vicious rumor that undermines your life. Perhaps one of the reasons that #MeToo clings to the dems is that they inherently know that their ideas are not going to have traction with people who examine their reasonableness. Dems don't care about the reasonableness of ideas, they just want the identity group's votes. #MeToo doesn't care about reasonableness. They just want what they want.
All this is not to say that women suffering abuse isn't a terrible injustice. It's only that the #MeToo/dem cure is worse than the problem. Our legal system has a fundamental principle of innocence until PROVEN guilty. The #MeToo/dem solution wants to skip the proof part.

MeToo was supposed to cast a wide net over white Republicans but it boomeranged badly. The majority of offenders turned out to be liberals. Shocking. The constant references to Trump in this story are just a psychological reflex that the Democrats are incapable of controlling. It’s like some weird political version of Tourettes Syndrome. Most of the evidence against Trump consists of accusations from questionable characters looking for a payday. He wasn’t in politics then. He was just a rich guy. Biden likes to fondle women and he’s creepy. The media secretly know this.

All of the 'witnesses' in the Kavanaugh case said that Blasey-Ford was lying and Kavanaugh was innocent. Every time Blasey-Ford's story was proven to be impossible because of time or place, she changed her story and was 'positive' the new story was correct. In contrast, all of the witnesses to the accusations against Biden said that Biden was guilty. The charges in the two cases are not nearly identical. Any one that says Biden is innocent and Kavanaugh is guilty is a biased hypocrite ten times over.

Perhaps we can let Bill Cosby out of jail now so he can avoid the virus? The best fix for #MeToo would be to impose the 7 year statute of limitations so the victims can testify while memories are still somewhat fresh and the perp can still walk.

Movements are hardly expressions of honest political views and goals. They are manufactured as needed for narrow purposes, then left to wither until next time needed. Those heading these "movements" are professionals doing a job, their work is to find dupes and true believers willing to shout loudly the chanting points delivered them at the appointed time and place. Movements are best when legitimized by celebrity involvement...and the "bigger" the better. Of course, they need a catchy slogan and Twitter hash.
Conservatives just can't get the hang or verve of it. PDT is a one-man band. He understands the value of incitement and introduced chaos. It's never about measured argument or logic.

Metoo has become the Mad Magazine mantra "WhatMeWorry"? What goes around comes around this is pay back for the lies against Justice Kavanaugh attempting to ruining his life.

“... or to defend him against charges nearly identical to those used to crucify other men, most notably Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.”
What BS! There is no similarity between the two. Kavanaugh was accused, by Ford, of having jumped on her and then both of them rolled off the bed and onto the floor. Fully clothed. And that was it. Even if the charge were true, which it was obviously not, there was nothing remotely close to penetration of any kind. Not to mention that one charge was about a couple of teenagers and the other was about a well known senator who held power over one of his staff members.

Well, I lost all respect for the hashtag MeToo movement during the failed building demolition near the Central Expressway in Dallas where the elevator shaft was still standing erect. Their credibility was destroyed when there was not one hashtag MeToo demonstration at the demolition site, screaming about the sexual discrimination and the weaponized toxic masculinity, demanding the city of Dallas build a giant vagina on the demo site.

Stupid anti-Trump article clothed in a bit of righteousness. Starts with the anti-Trump comparison of Kavanaugh to Creepy Joe and near the end calls Trump boorish and says we need a more enlightened president, liberal speak for woke.
Why on earth is this garbage a must read. Is Lucianne turning into Drudge?

The #MeToo movement will believe anything bad said about a Conservative of Republican and refuse to believe anything bad about a Progressive or Democrat. Their hypocrisy is deplorable.

It did NOT lose its religion. All that happened was that its mask finally fell and its TRUE religion was finally on full display: leftist anti-Americanism. They were never about protecting and defending women. Period. Full stop.

#4 has it right. The left thought the #metoo would make a great weapon against Repubs but it turns out that most of the perps, from 'Casting Couch' Harvey to Matt Lauer, are left-wing Dems. Now it's put Ole Joe in its crosshairs. I sense that the Dems are laying the groundwork for ousting him. When the NYT starts slipping away from fawning over Biden's 'government experience' to actually hinting that Reade's claim should be seriously looked into means that much of the left think he is toast.
I don't think it will be much longer before we see a withdrawal because of 'health reasons'. In Joe's case, a very valid excuse.

Of course 17. Think of the pain and suffering visited upon all women in Dallas and across the country who were forced to look at an elevator shaft the demolition company, run by evil men, failed to bring down. To bring about equality, hashtag MeToo had an obligation to demand fairness. Instead of demonstrating against the obvious monolith of unbridled male toxicity, demanding a giant vagina be constructed to show sexual fairness, they instead were doing other things that made them look ridiculous.

How about all EVIDENCE must be believed? Oh wait, that takes common sense, reason, and logic to understand. Nevermind.

I want Joe to drop out to spend more time with his family. Specifically his illegitimate grandson gifted to him by Hunter and the stripper. Notice, when he talks about his grandchildren he doesn’t include THAT one?
